  1. Good Morning, Everyone…👗SHE’S NOT WEARY AT ALL👗

🎶 Who’s to say this is the way it’s supposed to WORK?…Or is it just a lesson we never learned?…🎶 “Worse For Wear” – Durry 2023  https://tinyurl.com/3up9p3w6

👗(Right from the door I’m telling you that FERRET just won’t crawl),

The puzzle’s about fashion…the clothes, the shows, the SPRAWL…

So I just had to FORGO it, and stick to what’s at hand,

    A model who’s so amiable…of course she understands…

Not tired, bored or out of sorts…she definitely won’t SWOON,

Knowing where bread is buttered…she smiles in this cartoon…

So if she’s there for hours? She really doesn’t care…

She’s savvy and she’s definitely smart…and so NO WORSE FOR WEAR!👗

I’m not sure…maybe one HAUTE to be familiar with the idiom to get this one right off the bat, but I had it the minute I adDRESSed it…

So…Today, a Fashion Show. Timely, with all the major designer shows taking place as we speak…And we see our model, Holly GoLIGHTly, SHRUGging off the many outfit changes, and taking it all with a grain of salt…And if one pays close attention to the clues, this solve FITS like a glove…Our question…”Even after” =  NO WORSE, “outfits”, “model” = WEAR, and Holly’s dialogue, “Don’t…worry…do this all night” = again, NO WORSE? Holly was…NO WORSE FOR WEARhttps://tinyurl.com/bdekpf7t And with this easy, breezy way to end the week? We ZIPPED through it in no time…No WEARING ourselves out with this one…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I thought this solve seemed so familiar…so I went looking. CLOSE- IT was, but not an exact match. It was the puzzle of April 27th, 2018. https://tinyurl.com/ezh7n3dw The question that day, “Her cat slept on her sweater, and now it was”…WORSE “FUR” WEAR…Yes, close…but not a RUNWAY..I mean a runaway…Oh well, I TRIED…IT ON 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🦦She couldn’t help but SWOON and SPRAWL out on the couch for a bit after running around trying to catch her son’s FERRET, (which had caused her to FORGO her lunch date)…but all in all she was NO WORSE FOR WEAR…🦦

🤷🏻‍♀️Her children begged her for a FERRET, but she’d def FORGO it all,
They’re way too irresponsible and just leave things to SPRAWL…
There’s clothes now lying everywhere…their rooms a terrible mess
And she’s afraid that she might SWOON…she doesn’t need the stress
There’s no room for discussion…and she’s made herself quite clear…
She’s plenty of work already…and wants life NO WORSE FOR WEAR…🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. 💲It’s ’bout starving themselves most the time,
But it’s their way of earning a dime…
    To be a success,
    Comes to food? Mostly less…
So they stay looking ultra divine…💲

👍🏻Tall in stature and posture on point,
    Confidence pouring from every joint…
    Runways def their forte,
    How they move…how they sway…
    And important to not disappoint…👍🏻

👏🏻👏🏻Some so well-known and in such demand,
Traveling in shows across the land…
    And to Europe they go,
    Walk the designer’s shows…
And reception is often quite grand…👏🏻👏🏻

👗And so Holly that we see today,
    Dressed and walking another runway…
    Does enjoy what she does,
    And creates quite the buzz…
While she’ll def have it no other way…👗

🍷Here’s to fashion that we love to see,
Always cutting edge, sans the ennui…
And to those who do walk,
And the trends that they hawk…
    Power to you…looking so pretty…🍷

  5. Hello and TGIF ! I’ve been very busy and couldn’t devote my time to yesterday’s jumble , but later , I tried , to nothing ! And today I thought it could solve that , but it didn’t ! Too many letters and I just didn’t see it ! And one anagram I didn’t see was FERET ! Wow ! I’ve got to get back on track ! Angela I want too familiar with the song , but as usual your post was very informative , It just wasn’t familiar ! So let’s cap today on Saturday , tomorrow and end the week good !!!!!!

    • Tks, Jim…Not exactly sure where you’re headed with that cap and that last sentence…but the “week ends” today…and the “weekend” starts tomorrow…👗🙋🏻‍♀️

      • I meant , hopefully tomorrow, Saturday will cap the week with solvable jumble for the weekend ! Or in short , I hope I can get Saturdays jumble ! Sorry

        • No need to be…But today “caps” the week…how can Saturday be both? 🤷🏻‍♀️And I know we’ve adDRESSed this before…😂😂…As for tomorrow’s puzzle? Piece of cake! 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

          • I thought that officially , the week ended on Saturday and it began on Sunday ! But when I do my jumble after 12:00 midnight , i sometimes get thrown off ! Which I can’t remember when you adDRESSed that ! So can’t wait to see tomorrow’s Piece of cake !!

  6. So Angela…was that last message you sent (A Piece of Cake), a cryptic foretelling about tomorrow’s Jumble ??

Nothing much came up today to help with a blind solve, though I did think of the word WEAR or WORE. Therefore, unscrambled anagrams and started plugging away at the possibilities. First used WORE, then saw WORSE and then found out WORE had to be WEAR….and I was off and running.

I guess it’s all semantics, but I thought the week ended on Sunday night and a new one started on Monday morning. But then there’s Weekday days and Weekend days….anyway, thanks for the great post, enjoy TGIF and see you tomorrow. Terry

    • YW, Terry, and thank you. And yes, of course the week ends on Sunday…I only meant that Monday – Friday are the week days and Saturday and Sunday are considered the weekend days.. And no …no cryptic message, just that it’s an easy puzzle. 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Good morning. Bombed out badly today with not being able to get Ferret and the cartoon answer. Enjoyed your post Angela and first time hearing your song choice and sorry to say I didn’t miss much. But that’s only one opinion and I might be in the Minority. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. NP… I’m not crazy about the song either.. Take care 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Failure Friday for me . I solved the anagrams and had all the letters but was stumped on the cartoon. But after looking up the first 2 letter word, No, the answer popped into mind! Chuck.

  9. No problems with the words. The answer looked hard, but I saw WORSE pretty quickly, which led to the answer.

I started wondering about the origin of the phrase, so I looked it up. It has been used since at least the year 1546, so is probably one of the longest surviving sayings in English.

  10. Had to resort to paper and pencil for the cartoon solution but did get it figured out. I always thought the phrase was “No worse for the wear” so that threw me off momentarily. Wishing all my fellow Jumblers a good day! Betty
