  1. Good Morning, Everyone…👀ZEKE AND YE SHALL FIND 👀

    🎶 Gotta keep SEARCHIN’, SEARCHIN’…🎶 “Keep Searching” – Del Shannon 1965  https://tinyurl.com/3wav4kka

👀It’s driving him just BATTY, he’s searched for it all day…

It’s nothing to FLOSS over…Oh, gloss I meant to say…
A BUNDLE here, a bunch of keys…he’s looking all around…
INDOOR and out…until we hear…”Eureka, LOST “STAND” FOUND”!👀

I think what he really said when he finally FOUND it was…”DAIS the little bugger…I was just SPEAKING about you…”

Ok…Before we begin. Yes, the word FOUND is in both our question and our answer. A Jumble no-no…But I spoke with David yesterday, and he’s at a LOSS as to how it happened. It was meant to read…”finally located” and why/how it changed is beyond him. TBT, it didn’t have any effect on my getting the solve, I FOUND it immediately…but for those who FOUND themselves at a LOSS…all we can say is…*&=$%! happens…🤷🏻‍♀️There are no WORDS…

So…Today we FIND ourselves at a LOST “AND” FOUND, in a Conference Center. And whether or not we’re still on that cruise since Thursday is UP FOR GRABS…And we find Zeke, the man in charge, looking for a missing ( = LOST) podium…(= a STAND)…which was hiding behind a poster. And needless to say, he’s happy to FIND it…in the LOST “STAND” FOUND. https://tinyurl.com/mwz7p3zz  And with all the clues given us today…”missing” “found” “podium”,plus the quotation marks, this one was hardly a SEARCH…

Jeff’s💎Gems? The array of LOST items turned in. Books, chargers, keys, backpacks, umbrellas, a suitcase, a briefcase…a woman’s handbag. And there’s a man looking for his phone…But what you should FIND interesting is the poster. One of Jeff’s favorite bands held a concert in Chicago last night, and will do so again tonight. So the poster reads…”Athenaeum Center Presents…A Night With Poi Dog Pondering”. https://tinyurl.com/jspvv9x2 As for the graphics and what appears to be a naked man at the bottom? You got me. I reSEARCHED, but came up at a LOSS…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who just the other day was saying that as he gets older he can’t help but remember all the people he’s lost along the way…And that it probably wasn’t a good idea trying his hand as a tour guide…👀🙋🏻‍♀️

    CALIFORNIA ❤️

    • I don’t have any objection to FOUND being both in the clue and in the answer. “Lost and found” is a phrase that is usually treated as a single unit or word, so that “lost and found” and FOUND are two different words. The phrase might as well be the word lostandfound.

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️He thought it was a bit BATTY that the INDOOR LOST AND FOUND area had a BUNDLE of dental FLOSS lying about…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️A big BUNDLE of silky FLOSS looked BATTY sitting there,
And it really should be INDOOR…away from the damp air…
He wondered should he pick it up…get it off from the ground…
And bring it to the building’s room for all things LOST AND FOUND? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. 🙇🏻‍♂️Losing anything can take it’s toll,
What belongs to us we want to hold…
And we hope there’s a way,
    That which has gone astray…
Will somehow return to the fold…🙇🏻‍♂️

🛑Doesn’t matter how big or how small,
    Whether a phone, a book or a shawl…
    Things that belong to us,
Left on a train or bus…
Can cause things to come to a stall…🛑

🤦🏻‍♂️So today we see Zeke on a search,
For a podium on which to perch…
    He’s been looking all day,
    For the stand gone astray…
And he found himself out in the lurch…🤦🏻‍♂️

👀When finally what does he see?
The stand that had eluded he…
    ‘Hind a poster it stood,
    Making Zeke feel so good…
And a happy remark came from he…👀

🤞🏻Here’s to hoping Zeke can keep things straight,
So the searching time he can abate…
And can then lend a hand,
    To the others who stand…
At his window weighing their own fate!🤞🏻

  5. It’s the weekend Saturday ! The anagrams were good ! I had to think on INDOOR and BUNDLE , but got em ! Now the jumble had so many other words that came out ! I saw And , Sound , Soft , Stood and it just gave me slot of could-be’s ! I know the cartoon and the quotations also had to add to it , but there was too many words ! And yes Angela , FOUND was in two places ,ah #€££€%>€££! but that didn’t really throw me and omg ! Jeff gems about the poster with the guy on it ! Crazy but a challenging fun one ! I’m cracking up still at your analysis of this one Angela ! So let’s bring on Sunday funday !!!!

  6. Well, I figured it out without the anagrams, but was puzzled, so I don’t know if that counts. Anyway, first solution was, of course….LOST AND FOUND, and must admit I didn’t see the STAND between LOST AND. But the anagrams gave out the winning answer, hurrah. Funny story about the tour guide. And great song I remember dancing to in my youth !! Such memories. Thanks, Angela. Terry

  7. Good morning. No problem with the words again but drawing a blank on the cartoon answers lately. Enjoyed Del Shannon song Angela and your post as usual. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. The cartoon clue has a misused word, “podium”. That word comes from a Latin root pod, meaning foot, as in podiatrist. Therefore, a podium is a raised platform on which the actors or speaker put their feet on. The more proper word is “lectern”, or of this is a church, a “pulpit”.

      • That site also uses the word incorrectly. One of the first things I learned when I was in Toastmasters was that the wooden object that the speaker places his notes on is not a podium but a lectern, and that a podium is a raised area on which the lectern sits.

  9. I’ll digress a bit today

So that I can simply say

Today’s the day of the poet

So if you want to show it

Then talk in rhyme all day!

So as well as Irish Coffee Day you could say it’s also A Wee Dram Day. It’s January 25, Robert Burns Day! I’ll drive my family crazy by talking in rhyme all day. I come by it honestly; I spent much of my childhood in Burns country.

  10. In the question I would have used the word “located”, rather than “found” to prevent using the same word twice. Alan in GA

  11. the complete sentence doesn’t make sense. And usually a word used is the question “found” is not in the answer

  12. Angela, thanks for your thorough and fun analysis of today’s cartoon puzzle. I think that the naked man on the Poi Dog Pondering poster is from PDP’s 1989 EP entitled “Circle Around the Sun.” Thank you – Tom H.
