  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🥁HE’S BEAT🥁

    🎶”Wipeout”🎶 –  The Surfaris 1963  https://tinyurl.com/z7j2k9yx

🥁Long years he’d been a drummer, ennui set in it’s true,

He started to grow CHUBBY, a fact he definitely knew…

He tried to SUMMON up interest, but lately he fell flat,

The DEPTH of everything same-old…no change to this or that

And thinking even a JUROR might be happier, our Bob…

Began to wonder why he still kept at this HUMDRUM JOB…🥁

Ok…This one PLAYED right into our HANDS…A PERCUSSIONIST is a DRUMMER…https://tinyurl.com/5f95zmjd And who’s the one we see SHOWing with dialogue? Jeff definitely SET the STAGE…

So…Today we see the band, “Slow Dance” performing a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird”… https://tinyurl.com/4zd7sp8v …obviously from our question a song they’ve played way too many times. And from Bob, the DRUMmer’s conversation, we can see that he’s overly BORED = HUMDRUM with the same old, same old… https://tinyurl.com/yndvm5pp.  And while a drummer is said to be the heartbeat of a band…sadly Bob’s heart just doesn’t seem to be in it any longer. The JOB is getting to him…It’s become a HUMDRUM JOB https://tinyurl.com/2y9uujs2 …BeCHORD he’s just WIPED OUT…https://tinyurl.com/2fkkjw78

Jeff’s Gems? Bob, with his phone perched atop his drum, his earphones on, and holding a conversation? …Definitely the CYMBAL of a man who’s bored…How he gets the phone to STICK up there while he plays is beyond me…And our guitarist at left, sports the classic heart tattoo reading “Mom”. But the SHOW-stopper here today is who appears to be our lead singer. It sure looks like Jeff…and for those who don’t know, Jeff is a singer/musician https://tinyurl.com/4kzxbjs2 and released an album, “Risk Taking Is Free” https://tinyurl.com/555tbs4y back in 2013. Who knows…maybe this will DRUM up some sales…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who wanted to be a drummer…but he kept BEATing around the bush for so long that he never got the hang of it. And he was so DRUMatic about it all…We all told him that we were tired of his same old SONG, and that he’d never change…He just never STICKS with anything…🥁🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️Being the single Father of the CHUBBY-cheeked child, he hoped they wouldn’t SUMMON him to be a JUROR…such a HUMDRUM JOB…and he needed time to consider the DEPTH of the situation…🙇🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️The JUROR SUMMON worried him, a lot of this and that,
Like could he find someone so soon to watch his CHUBBY cat…
The DEPTH of it all stressed him out…his heart began to throb…
It is a civic duty…but he’d hate the HUMDRUM JOB…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. 🤷🏻‍♂️When you’re young and the work is brand new,
    You’re excited with the things you’ll do…
    But as time marches on,
And you ‘sing the same song’…
Boredom easily finds its way through…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️Doesn’t matter if you play the drums,
Or do banking…and working with sums…
    Repetition sets in,
    Much to one’s chagrin…
    And laissez-faire things can become…🤷🏻‍♂️

🥁With excitement those long years ago,

Bob set out with his drum set in tow…

But as the years went by,

    With the same battle-cry…

His spirits began to get low…🥁

🙇🏻‍♂️Yet he stayed with the band just the same,

    ‘Cause by now they’d established a name…

But his heart took a turn

    He just no longer yearned…

For whatever first brought them their fame…🙇🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️And today we see Bob is so bored,

He’s just had it with the same old chords…

    Same old songs every night,

    It’s a true fight the fight…

And poor Bob…he’s bored out of his gourd! 🤦🏻‍♂️

  5. All I could see was JOB, so had to attend to the anagrams to finish off the puzzle. And with JOB and DRUM taken out of the mix, it was a pretty easy solve. Hope it’s a very good Hump Day for everyone. Terry

  6. Looks like some current events made their way into today’s JUMBLE, including JUROR and SUMMON in the trial in New York, and were some DEPTH charges used to free the barge in Maryland? But CHUBBY Checker? That was over 60 years ago.

  7. Good morning. No college graduation today so I was able to sit down for breakfast and do the jumble with complete ease. The words came fairly quick but unable to get the blind solve but once the letters were down the last word jumped out at you and after awhile the first word appeared. Enjoyed the song Angela. I think there was also a wipeout part 2. My brother in law use to play that song on his drums. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. What a hump-day Wednesday ! When I solved all the anagrams smoothly , I came to the jumble and like everyone else , the one word I pulled from the letters was JOB ! Then what was left , I tried DRUM and it was an eyebrow raised solve ! A little bit of a hump today ! So , I was in a band , but we had no drummer , just three of us and two acoustic guitars and it just didn’t beat my way ! The song of Wipeout is a favorite of mine ! This was a good one and Angela, you explained a lot , very interesting. ! Everyone have a great over the hump Wednesday !!!!!
