4️⃣ Today’s Math LESSON we see has a FEISTY girl quite hesitant,
She’s definitely not herself…and that is clearly evident… Hating for anyone to USURP her and her Math skill, She sat in that CHAIR confident…of course that was until… The teacher’s right, she did know it…but now she’s insecure… A sudden brain freeze…The square root? Darn, she can’t SAY “FOUR” SURE4️⃣
So…Today, a FOURth or fifth grade Math class…where our girl, ADDaline, when questioned on the Square Root of 16, has experienced a memory lapse = she’s UNSURE. And EVEN with her teacher, COUNT Basie, encouraging her, SAYing “I KNOW you know this” = (he’s SURE), it seems the best ADDaline could come up with was 6…A RADICAL guess, but TWO bad she can’t remember…And it looks like this LESSon fell SHORT…And our solve? With those tell-tale quotations waiting FOUR us?…It’s TWO bad she couldn’t…SAY “FOUR” SURE… https://tinyurl.com/ynyw8vwd …And that’s the easy, breezy ROOT of our puzzle today…

🤦🏻♂️The spelling LESSON for today started to sound absurd, Both FEISTY and USURP threw him…he didn’t know the words… He sat there in his CHAIR and dreaded this lesson du jour… He needs badly to pass this test…but now can’t SAY FOR SURE!🤦🏻♂️
🤷🏻♀️When you’re sitting in class and alert, Always ready with answers to blurt… It can catch one off guard, When you’re trying so hard… But a Math problem you can’t convert…🤷🏻♀️
🤦🏻♀️Comes to Math our girl ADDaline soars, Always managed to get the best scores… But she’s suddenly gone blank, And her spirit has sank… With this lesson of Square Roots du jour…🤦🏻♀️
🤷🏻♀️ Mr Basie is definitely right, She does know this…but yet she can’t bite… So she goes for a guess, Feeling under duress… Since she’s not used to being uptight…🤷🏻♀️
4️⃣ 6️⃣ But her answer sadly does fall short, Of the 4 she needed to report… But at least ADDy tried, Though she couldn’t decide… …Went with 6 as her final resort!…6️⃣ 4️⃣
…And here’s to Square Roots… 👍🏻 A dozen, a gross and a score, Plus three times the square root of four… Divided by seven, Plus five times eleven… Is nine squared…and not a bit more! 👍🏻
Not a quick solve today ! Had to think on USURP , but the rest were there ! The jumble came to me with the quotation marks and only four letters to get FOUR SURE ! Well we’ve been pretty busy with grandkids and camps , so I’m a little tired , so today was a thirst solver and to get ready to end the work week tomorrow ! Your song choice was a good one and your friend being irrational was a good Ratio ! Math was one of my better subjects ! So I’ll sum it up and get ready for tomorrow Friday !!!!

Partly a blind solve…Knew quotation word was FOUR, and when Marsha helped me with first word, SAY….I got it. Anagrams pretty easy to check my work. Kind of in a hurry because I hear there there’s problem or two with CONNECTIONS, so I’ll see if I can help there. Will listen to the song later, but seems like a fine choice. Terry

Good morning. Feel like a dummy today. I had to look up Usurp and thought for sure all my other words were correct so I went to the cartoon and thought the word in quotation marks was Four but I didn’t have an O in my letters. I finally gave up and when I looked at the answer I see I had lossen instead of lesson. A lot of head shaking and disgust for this failure. Really enjoyed your song video Angela. First time seeing the group rather than just the record. Until tomorrow take care

In the cartoon the student guesses 6 for the square root of 16. She probably assumed you just remove the first digit of 16 to get 6. Had the number to take the square root of been 36, that technique would have worked.
