      🍋 Wonder if they’ll cause a TIRADE…it really isn’t right,
      To stand within the doorway of a shop and set one’s sights…
      It does ANNOY the patrons to see the entrance blocked,
      As business definitely suffers at this place where drinkers flock…
      The kids, not really WITTY, in fact they’re slightly rude,
      The woman inside can’t get out…and so she starts to brood
      (And for the record the word SWATCH won’t make it here today)…
      We’re dealing with two little girls…how they STAND IN THE WAY…🍋

      Hmm…I’m really not sure how I feel about this…It’s obvious these little girls aren’t all that SWEET…and they surely must see how they’re SOURing the moods of the coffee shop’s customers…It’s the PITS actually…

      The key word here today, STAND, has definitely STOOD the test of LIME…I mean time. A true Jumble aficionado will recognize it from any one of the “Lemonade” puzzles we’ve been SERVED in the past…but in each and every one, the word’s been used differently…and that’s a great SELLING point…So I STAND and applaud David’s MIXING it up…

      Ok. Down to BUSINESS. Our budding ENTRE-preneurs…A few things STAND out…1 – Where are the parents? 2 – Since the girls are selling Lemonade, and the coffee shop coffee…why such a hard SELL? Where’s the competition? Why not just set the table up to the side of the doorWAY? …And 3 – Where are the parents?! Let’s face it, Folks, I’m sure we’re all for young people with the initiative to earn a few dollars, but at whose expense? I mean one can’t just STAND there and PITCHER wares …If this keeps up, the poor coffee shop’s business may just GRIND to a halt…LEMON just say that I don’t underSTAND how the proprietor is STANDing for all this…Maybe that’s even her inside,…LEMON-ting the situation…There’s no coffee cup in either of her hands, so on second thought, she might not be a customer…as I mentioned in my poem…looking to SQUEEZE through the doorWAY …I just don’t get it…AnyWAY…Enough of my “tirade”…I’ll quit, and just take the puzzle at face VALUE…

      So…There you have it Folks…(perhaps over) …Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And aGAIN, while one may give props to our girls for their initiative, and not STANDing around just being JUICEless…this surely wasn’t what was meant by SQUEEZE the day…🍋🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤷🏻‍♂️For some reason the WITTY pun about the timepiece, where the word SWATCH was used, seemed to ANNOY the Professor, causing a bit of a TIRADE, so to speak…but the student wasn’t going to let it STAND IN THE WAY of his writing…🤷🏻‍♂️

      🎨 Yes, the TIRADE did ANNOY him, but there’s no way he’ll relent,
      The shade the SWATCH is showing?…He’s using…he’s hell-bent…
      …To stay with it, this “WITTY Blue” …it’s definitely here to stay…
      And there’s no way he’s allowing them to now STAND IN THE WAY…🎨

  6. Good morning. I was able to get all the words after some serious thought but I drew a complete blank on the cartoon answer. I went for the answer and was surprised it was so simple. The answer literally stood in your face. Loved your song choice Angela, I think of the movie every time I hear that play. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. I have posted a limerick but don’t see it yet. Are any other jumblers in the the path of totality for Monday’s solar eclipse? We’re just inside it where I live near Lake Ontario so hoping for clear skies. We have our eclipse glasses so it should be quite a spectacle!

  8. A Friday wipeout after failing to solve the tirade anagram and then not seeing the obvious first word, stand for the cartoon solution! At least it’s a sunny but cold Friday morning. Chuck.

  9. Can’t wait till Saturday to put a positive cap on the weekend ! Cause today stopped the slide ! I came up with Taste and Hand , cause lemonade is a nice drink with a Hand , but that did not work ! Had a lot going on , so my I left my jumble hat somewhere ! So let’s cap the week tomorrow Saturday and have a glass of lemonade !!!!!

  10. STAND IN HIS WAY seemed right, but I only had one A. I then checked the words and saw that I had ATIRED instead of TIRADE. Fixed it and had the solution.

    We’re only at about 60% eclipse here in Southern California. Not bad, but not 100%.
