    🥘 One time there had been places where fine dining was the norm,
    But years had brought plight of DECAY…‘twas the need for reform…
    Our girls today didn’t MINCE words…they’re proud of what they’ve done,
    It started with a fabric SWATCH…and now the look will stun
    And they AFFIRM their strong belief that the elite will sit…
    And dine with them…and spread the word that they had FANCIED IT! 🥘

    …And this solve had me at MERLOT…The moment I read our question, with the words “extravagant” and “upscale” = FANCY, looked at the FANCY https://tinyurl.com/5bdddm9z decor of the new restaurant…and read the dialogue…”people will LOVE”…. = to “FANCY” something… https://tinyurl.com/2p8sr8uu , the icing on the CAKE…it left me with no RESERVATION as to what David was SERVING UP here today…Plus, you have to love the DOUBLE PORTION, I mean double meaning when it comes to FANCY. It’s a FANCY place, and if enough customers FANCY IT = like it…success is definitely on the MENU…So it’s FANCIED IT…for the win! …And put a FORK in it…we’re done!

    The SETTING? I’m thinking there’s something I may be missing, some pop culture reference perhaps that’s getting PASTA me…Especially with the painting of Pagliacci 🎭 on the wall, and what appears to be a waterfall display…But FOIE GRAS life of me, it’s not ringing a bell. Maybe Jeff can shed some light…he’s always a FUNGI when it comes to pop culture…

  3. 👍🏻 There was no need to MINCE words once the decorator witnessed the state of DECAY that the furniture was in…and once the clients had seen the fabric SWATCH she’d chosen, and FANCIED IT, she was able to AFFIRM a renovation start date for them…👍🏻

    🎨 At the meeting they all did AFFIRM DECAY need be addressed,
    The days that they would MINCE around had to be put to rest…
    Deciding on the perfect SWATCH for paint color took grit…
    Some voted nay while others definitely FANCIED IT! 🎨

  4. I can’t believe how close to the answer I was , but couldn’t get FANCIED ! I had FACED IT IN , but couldn’t get FANCIED ! Wow ! Not too bad , but it just didn’t come to me ! The anagrams were all there with no DECAY ! When I got them I didn’t have to MINCE them ! Not even with a SWATCH ! So they were an AFFIRM to go ! Great way to cap the week off Saturday ! Angela you’ve got to be feeling great , that song was really cool ! First time I’ve heard it and I liked it ! And your cousin is probably laughing now , just ask her , it makes you laugh Dough Nut ? Everyone have a nice weekend !!!!

    You’ll be dining on the finest brie…
    Sometimes prices are jacked,
    And the restaurants packed…
    Just to be seen and other Folks see…🤷🏻‍♀️

    💲Our girls spent quite a lot on this place,
    And they’re confident not to lose face…
    They saw there was a need,
    Where the elite would feed…
    And the hoi polloi they would erase…💲

    👍🏻At the start it’s a lock Folks will come,
    And they’ll shell out a pretty steep sum…
    But to keep things afloat,
    And continue to gloat…
    Excellence needs to be rule of thumb…👍🏻

    Time will tell as the place settles in…
    If the elite are pleased,
    And seats get hard to seize…

  8. Even though it was it was an upscale, extravagant restaurant….somehow FANCY didn’t register at all. It helped that I kinda knew it was an ED word, maybe with IT at the end. Regardless, did a manual solve by solving the anagrams and piecing it together afterwards. Ahhh…fine dining to be sure !!! Have a great Saturday.

  10. Anagrams solved easily but had to put on my thinking 🧢 cap to arrive at the cartoon answer. Did eventually get it. I just loved Frazier & Niles. We still have reruns on one of our TV Channels which I resort to when reality is too grim. Happy Saturday all!

    • I loved them both too, Betty, and still watch the show also. I think I’d rate it as one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. The entire cast was top notch…As for the grim reality?…I’m with you there too…🤦🏻‍♀️ Wishing you a Happy Saturday too, Betty…(That’s a lot of too’s)! 🙋🏻‍♀️
