The boys they CHIDE the little girls, on this a summer’s day…
The one boy thinks he’s WITTY, and he badgers with a grin,
As he sits on a basketball…that’s made from CATTLE skin…
The girls not ones to SOFTEN things…their retorts prove to whit…
That they’re up for the challenge…and can easily WITHSTAND IT! 🍋
Ok…While one of the Early Birds was COW punched by CATTLE, he soon enough HERD the word said aloud by one of the UDDERS…and he too SQUEEZED his puzzle solve in under the wire…We all knew that he couldn’t STAND IT if he wasn’t up to speed WITH everyone ELSIE…I mean else…
So…opposite sides of the street…and we SEED a Lemonade war ready to come to FRUITition…The boys, with their sign reading “Super” Lemonade in which to gain attention, the girls going with balloons to LIFT interest…And both charging 25¢…no CHANGE there yet…And since our question’s telling us that the girls were there first, it kind of STANDs to reason that the boys might have better luck if they offered their drinks at 20¢ instead…figuring people would rather not SQUEEZE out the extra nickel…Plus setting up shop so close? The PITS, no? Seems like a SQUEEZE play to me…But that’s just me putting in my 2¢ worth…As for our solve? Definitely no SOUR grapes on the part of our girls…Our dialogue? “We’ll be out before you” and “We’re going to CRUSH them”? But oh well , the rest were there , just trying to be WITTY ! Just trying to SOFTEN up the only hard anagram that I haven’t had in a long time ! So let’s Mooooove on over to CATTLE and the jumble ! It was another fun and entertaining one ! With the lemonade stand competitions ! We all , I’m sure , have had our day selling lemonade ! That makes it so at home! So it was easy to WITHSTAND IT ! Good morning. No problem with the words. I got Chide within seconds but honestly I had to look it up for its meaning, I had no clue at all. No blind solve on the cartoon but that too was easily solved. Until tomorrow stay well and be safe.
