    It’s ONWARD to the pen for them…this crime ring has to end…
    The agency, “AURORA”…named for fair GENDER goddess,
    (The one always depicted with sun shining ‘cross her bodice)…
    It’s intent to send the best frog with any WIDGET needed,
    Into the swamp discreetly…inhale EXHALE to be heeded
    It’s quiet undercover work, and this frog has the swagger…
    To keep his ribbits quite in check…and act all “CROAK” AND DAGGER!🐸

    One wonders about the unTOAD number of Agents before him who CROAKed on missions such as this…Definitely something to PONDer…

    So…Today…Detroit, and the headquarters of the Aurora Investigation Agency. Where we find its Director, SAL AMADER, in a top-secret meeting with his best agent, Michigan J Frog… https://tinyurl.com/48fb7tr8 (no FLY- By-NIGHT individual), who’s about to embark on a mission to infiltrate the notorious gang dubbed the LEAP Year Boys…since they’ve been terrorizing the city for way too many years now. And MJ (as he’s known to his colleagues) is ready to HOP to it. The reign of terror of these POND SCUM characters has become so widespread, it’s made the SLIME Time News every night lately, and it has to stop. No longer will they FLY under the radar with MJ on the job…and he’s determined to turn the other agents GREEN with envy…So, disguised (=CLOAK) as a Hollywood AGENT, who’s looking to SHED new light on his movie, “SKIN”, he’s TOADally ready to get this TOP SECRET HOPeration underway….And with the bulging eyes, (like DAGGERS), it should just be another run-of-the-RILL “CROAK” AND DAGGER https://tinyurl.com/4h4n4a6a  assignment for the Agency’s HOP-Secret Agent…M let the pieces fall where they J…

    Jeff’s💎Gems? The frog at left looks to have a fly caught in his mouth, or his sticky tongue is sticking out…A third frog peeking out from the water, the ties, the shades, the listening device, and what possibly could be a breathing apparatus with a tank…And MJ’s wearing a wristwatch…But the CATCH-all? Look closely, or it’ll get BAYOU…and you’ll see that the desk is a LILY PAD…That Jeff…nothing FLIES by him! 

    So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who was hired to write copy for a French restaurant that was trying to feature their frog legs. Trying to be witty, he thought he’d RIB the owner a little, and submitted what he thought would be a line from a frog’s point of view…He wrote, “Time’s fun when you’re having flies”…And needless to say, he was TOAD to leave immediately. …He didn’t have a leg to stand on…🐸🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The novel, somewhat of a GENDER basher, was very CLOAK AND DAGGER, as it dealt with a man dubbed a JACKAL, who had created a WIDGET that he named AURORA…and as I delved ONWARD into the story, I found myself forced to inhale and EXHALE often…as it was that unnerving…🤦🏻‍♀️

    ⚙️ The woman named AURORA had a WIDGET treasure trove,
    A tool shaped like a JACKAL sat proudly top her stove…
    The gadgets were so many, and some were GENDER based,
    And ONWARD through her house I walked…seeing them every place
    A strange collection to be sure…one looked just like Mick Jagger…
    And two others made me EXHALE…they were so CLOAK AND DAGGER!⚙️

    Seems it shows up somewhere every day….
    It’s not just city streets,
    For today who we meet…
    Are a gang of frogs who’ve gone astray…🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤦🏻‍♂️ Seemed like on the bandwagon they’ve leapt,
    And their crime spree ‘cross Detroit has swept…
    A notorious crew,
    Who somehow quickly grew…
    And into the spotlight have crept…🤦🏻‍♂️

    🐸 They have traumatized innocent frogs,
    Gone ‘round looking through the nearby bogs…
    Where they’ve terrorized toads,
    Who were seeking abodes…
    And the area’s gone to the dogs…🐸

    🔦But today MJ Frog’s been assigned,
    To get this crime spree to unwind…
    And he’ll go undercover,
    Hoping to discover…
    Whatever is needed to find…🔦

    👍🏻…The key to this mission’s success,
    And put an end to this whole mess…
    Clear the swamp of the slime, 
    Return things to a time…
    When Detroit wasn’t under duress!👍🏻

  8. Whew, finally got it. No blind solve and had to unscramble words to get started. Looked over the letters and finally thought (correctly) that middle word was AND…and then the spy idiom jumped up to greet me for the solve. I liked your friend’s witty slogan.   10. Good morning. Took some time but I finally got all the words and after putting the letters down had croak but was thinking of the last word and was one letter short so drawing a blank I went right for the answer. Oh well I heard a great song and until tomorrow take care.

    Well, that should be no surprise

    In that murky domain

    It must be hard to maintain

    A world free of crime, vice and lies……

    So an agent’s being sent down to snoop

    On nefarious deeds in the gloop

    In disguise he will be

    All the better to see

    For himself, the crime in the group.

    Then he’ll frog march them out of the slime

    All covered with mud and with grime

    Toad, frog or newt

    There will be no dispute

    That soon they will serve their time!

      But they covered it well,
      And Detroit didn’t dwell…
      On the fact they were so put upon…🤷🏻‍♂️

      🐸 So our MJ did don his disguise,
      Determined to cause group’s demise…
      How well it all went,
      Since our man was hell bent…
      Should come as no real big surprise…🐸

      👏🏻👏🏻 Infiltration completed for sure,
      And there will be no crime come du jour…
      Because frog, newt and toad,
      Hopped to a new abode…
      Detroit’s harmony?…Finally restored! 👏🏻👏🏻

  12. What a Sunday Funday ! I rarely get all the anagrams and the complete jumble ! But today was that day ! I loved it ! And to top it off was your song choice Angela and your analysis of the jumble ! And your friend story reminded of when I saw the frog in a creek , I yelled out “ hey mr frog ! How deep is the water ? “ and he said “ Knee Deep , Knee Deep “ I had to ! Have a great Sunday funday !
