I’m going to abstain from the usual puns and jokes today…for the obvious reason…
So…Today…A hospital room where we meet two good friends and an extremely grateful Mother. With the gift of a kidney that one man’s given the other, they’ve literally and figuratively become…BLOOD BROTHERS. https://tinyurl.com/2crzzmrd ..And with our question giving us “not RELATED”, the Mother saying “my newest SON now” and the dialogue of both men, there was no way to miss this one…
Jeff’s💎Gems? If you didn’t know, back in 2007, Jeff https://tinyurl.com/3ktd32rt donated a kidney to his cousin…. And if that’s not being a Gem…I don’t know what is. A Jumble puzzle was published on July 11th, 2012, marking the 5th anniversary of the surgery, and here it is…along with an article from an Alabama newspaper back then. https://tinyurl.com/mtkc8hrf I couldn’t find my NY copy…And I don’t know about you, but I’d pay good money, (as we say in Brooklyn), to have Jeff as a cousin…So, Jeff…this one’s for you…Cin, cin…Cent’ Anni…🍷❤️🙋🏻♀️

🏀 The young teens, self-proclaimed BLOOD BROTHERS, played on the basketball COURT until the rain turned very heavy…and while walking home in the SLUDGE, one decided to BOBBLE the ball…which of course didn’t strike the right CHORD…🏀
🤦🏻♂️ He walked through SLUDGE to get to COURT…of course he looked a mess, He knew ‘bout first impressions and now had to confess… He’ll definitely strike the wrong CHORD…Feels a BOBBLE in his gait, He’s looking like a train wreck…and the court date just won’t wait He wishes he could reschedule…he would…had he his druthers… But sadly he must testify about the three BLOOD BROTHERS…🤦🏻♂️
Wow ! This jumble was really one that quenched my thirst ! It required some thinking on two anagrams! I had them in my head but wasn’t to sure of COURT and then the word of SLUDGE was correct and I got them ! Then the jumble with the connection of a kidney, I saw BROTHERS right away and that left me OLDOB and I pulled OLD out and that messed me up , then I rearranged the letters and BLOOD came and I screamed ! What a fun and hard jumble this thirsty-Thursday ! Your song Angela was one of my favorites growing up by the e Hollie’s ! And this jumble is such an honor to Jeff’s gems with the kidney ! That was such great information on him Angela Thank you ! Ok let’s bring on Friday and go undefeated !!!!!

Very eloquent words concerning this life giving procedure. Thanks for doing so, Angela. As for the puzzle, unscrambled anagrams and took a quick minute to find BROTHERS and that about did it. Enjoy your Thirsty Thursday. Terry

Good morning. Easy breezy again except for Sludge which gave me a little hesitation and the cartoon answer gave me two answers because I didn’t know if the guy in the bed was her husband or son so I had Blood Brothers/Relative. After the letters were down it became clear. Loved you song choice Angela, spot on. Played bocce for the first time in months there was 22 people there so I had to wait two games from the game that already started. It thinned out because of the cold and wind (short sleeve shirt and light jacket wasn’t enough). Afterwards if you won you might have a chance to make the next game. Until tomorrow take care.

Good morning again. No it hasn’t. Same way since they built the court. Nothing ever changes. Sloppy work. Take care.

Easy Jumble today. I had the answer as soon as I saw what the mother in the cartoon said to the donor. Very nice story about Jeff and his donation to his cousin. Thank you for your post Angela. Stan

Now that they’re brothers by blood
Emotions pour forth in a flood
Forever in debt
He’ll never forget
As they see a new friendship in bud!

I found the jumble really easy despite the B’s and O’s in the cartoon puzzle. By the tally it looked like the responders agreed with a quick solve of the anagrams as well. Chuck.
