Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well….
🐄 MILKING IT FOR ALL IT’S WORTH!🐄
🎶 DAIRY TALEs can come true, it can happen to you if you’re YOUNG AT HEART…For it’s hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind…If you’re young at heart…🎶 “Young at Heart” – (with the utmost apologies to) Mr Frank Sinatra…(especially since he speaks of “respect for the lyric”).. 1953 https://tinyurl.com/ydprws3v
🐄 So, Elsie’s with her children, she’s telling TWICE told tales,
It strikes a CHORD with all of us, be we male or female…
LATELY I miss that innocence that gave me wanderlust,
I travelled through so many worlds where I would put my trust…
And these young calves will ALWAYS treasure times when Mom regaled…
Them with a story ‘bout cows and cheese…a so sweet “DAIRY” TALE 🐄
Ah…to be so young at heart that you still believe in fairy tales…If we could turn back time… https://tinyurl.com/4vehtc6d
OK…Today’s location? The DAIRY Farm. And we see Elsie and her offspring Beau, short for BOVINE, and SKIM, short for Sally Kim, basking in the moonlight…The moonlight from the Swiss-cheese looking moon. It’s late…and Elsie, sensing the MOOd of her children, and taking STOCK of the situation, realizing that the STEAKS are high, strives for an effort to lull them to sleep…And well aware that these two CAN definitely MILK it, and how nothing’s ever simply BLACK AND WHITE with them…we hear Elsie say…”You’re up WHEY PASTEUR bedtime…so I’ll tell you a story”…And she proceeds to aMOOs them with “Hey, Diddle, Diddle”, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdVrw4gdkhI blended with the lesser known “The Moon is Made of Cheese”. https://tinyurl.com/2p8ehxw3 A SWEET, innocent, childhood tale…A FAIRY Tale…And the kids, trying to BUTTER Mom up, are all smiles and full of questions. But since we haven’t MOOved since we started this puzzle…and we’re still on the farm…what we have here is a …”DAIRY” TALE! TALEelujah! And GRAZE the Lord, David’s done it again! This solve is UDDERly delightful!
So…STEER you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And if you’re sensing that you may have HERD some of these Cow Puns before?… That’s just déjà MOO…🐄🙋🏻♀️

🎸Having TWICE failed to master the CHORD, the young teen LATELY began to feel that what he ALWAYS dreamed of becoming, a guitarist, might just be a FAIRY TALE…🎸
📕 She sang the ditty TWICE to them, and hoped it’d strike a CHORD,
LATELY it seemed that both of them ALWAYS looked to be bored…
Maybe a story would be best…maybe that wouldn’t fail?
And so she switched to reading…and offered a FAIRY TALE…📕
Welcome Monday ! The start of a new week ! It’s starting off perfect with the anagrams ! Although I really needed to think through more on LATELY ! I thought it was Talley , but after I looked , I was thinking Tally , even though Talley is a Word , I should’ve concentrated more , but the rest of them are ALWAYS hitting the right CHORD which makes it TWICE the fun ! The jumble with the cow , and what it was telling , was a TALE and whatever word to describe a cow then DAIRY , so I easily mooooooved into the closing of this Mondays jumble with a smile ! Everyone have a great Monday , start of the week !!!!!
Does this nursery rhyme feature in American children’s literature or is it of British origin or possibly both? I learned it as a child in the UK.
Hey, diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed
To see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
I did google it. Just wondered if it is told/recited in USA. Many English nursery rhymes date from 1500s – 1700s and may have crossed the Atlantic with early settlers.
Yes, it’s very well known here..🐄🌙🙋🏻♀️
🐄 Mama cow and her little offspring,
Are dealing with a common thing…
Sleep just doesn’t come,
So before we see sun..,
Mama’s thinking she may as well sing! 🐄
💤 Talk of cows jumping over the moon,
And it’s making our little calves swoon…
Whether tall tale or not,
Elsie’s hit the right spot…
Hopefully sleep is coming real soon! 💤
👅 Farm life mirrors our own…so to speak,
So a Fairy Tale just gets a tweak…
Call it Dairy today,
It’s the same either way…
But of course here we have tongue-in-cheek! 👅
Good morning. Thank goodness our jumble was usually as easy as a Monday morning. Breezed through the words and cartoon answer. I Dairy had time to think it was almost that easy for me. Loved all the extra songs you gave us Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…Glad you enjoyed it all. Have a good one. Be well and stay safe out there…🐄🙋🏻♀️
Kids just love to hear far-fetched tales
Lurid, and with all the details
And this cute pair of calves
Gets a whole ton of laughs
As mom with her cheesy stories regales!
You could say she’s the crème de la crème
A one-of-kind bovine gem
A moon made of cheese
That tale’s sure to please
(And you can hear the kids go “ahem….!”)
Love those Great American Songbook Mondays !! Thanks, Angela…one of my favorites. A little too cryptic for a blind solve ( the first word, anyway)….so breezed thru the anagrams, took out the obvious TALE, and had a quick solve. See you on Taco Tuesday.
YW, Terry. It’s one of mine, too. 🎶🙋🏻♀️
Other than thinking tail rather than tale, given the cow reference,it was a quick solve.
Nice and easy Monday puzzle. Wishing all a good day.
