Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🕷️OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE…WHEN TO A LIE WE CHOOSE TO CLEAVE! 🕷️
🎶 Everybody’s got the FEVER that is something you all know…Fever isn’t such a new thing…Fever started long ago…🎶..”Fever” – Miss Peggy Lee (originally recorded) 1958 https://tinyurl.com/2p88etuz
🕷️With this kid it’s coming down to FORCE, he’s not good on his own,
His every thought is Spider-Man …poor grades is what’s he’s shown…
He dropped out of KARATE, he’s WOVEN quite the mess,
His parents and his teacher feel the need now for duress…
It’s Spider-Man who fills his mind…like SLUDGE it’s muddied thinking,
His time for school and learning? Little bit by little shrinking…
And now he’s telling silly lies…the kid’s a real deceiver…
The teacher’s on to him though…and his made up LOW-GRADE FEVER!🕷️
When I first look at a puzzle…I try to take it all in at one glance…you know like gauging the TEMPERATURE of a room…And today my “Spidey Sense” started tingling, https://tinyurl.com/yc3dsn27 but in a good way, right off the BAT…MAN, I was like…Oh wait…Batman’s for another day…A tangled WEB I’m weaving here, mixing up my Super Heroes, aren’t I? (And if you think I did that for COMIC relief? Ah…you READ me so well)…Anyway…Let me not PETER the time away…and PARKER here with all this…Better we MARVEL at today’s puzzle…A story WEAVED around SPIDER-MAN. https://tinyurl.com/37pjhzsx …but with a COMIC TWIST…
TBH, I first thought our little BUGger here was Alfred from those two puzzles of last week. Same quick wit, same fearless sarcasm…same lack of respect…But then I saw that the hair was totally different, and I had to change COURSE. Now I’m thinking this might be Little Jeff…a budding artist in the making. Because if you look closely at the paper on the desk before him, you’ll see that it’s all Spider-Man related doodles, and Jeff’s been doodling since his youth. But somehow I can’t PICTURE Jeff as being so flippant..I think of him as being more respectful towards adults. So I’m a little on the fence. I could call him PETER, but in this day and AGE, well, IDK…Maybe I’ll go with STAN LEE https://tinyurl.com/2p99eh4m instead..,Yes, let’s…So WEBBER it’s him or KNOT, I’ll call our little FLY, I mean guy, STAN LEE…
So…today a classroom. ELEMENTARY School, for sure. One needn’t be SHERLOCK HOLMES to see that…The faces are young, and there’s playground equipment, a slide and domed monkey bars, seen through the window. So I’m guessing Second GRADE…maybe, maybe Third on a LONG SHOT…definitely one of the LOWer GRADEs…Pictured are three other children besides Stan…two girls, MAY and MARY JANE, and a little boy, BEN….And we can see that our teacher, Mrs WATSON, is none too pleased with Stan. It’s not just his poor performance on the written test, it’s also his FLY-by-night attitude, that he can’t seem to MASK, that’s beginning to BUG her. And when she confronts him about his “D” = LOW GRADE, he goes so far as to STRETCH the truth and answer as if he were Spider-Man…with a “radioactive spider” giving him a LOW-GRADE FEVER! https://tinyurl.com/yhxdck2y …And once again, there was no SWEATING over this puzzle today…We SWUNG right through it…
Jeff’s Gems? Of COURSE, Stan’s Spider-Man T-shirt. Plus the Fidget SPINNER https://tinyurl.com/3pvyt8ub on the desk is genius…And besides the Spider in a circle logo, https://tinyurl.com/4rspwxf2 , the web, the image of a man swinging from a web, etc in Stan’s doodles, if you look real closely, you’ll see that he also doodled on his test paper! The logo appears there, and there’s a web DRAWN in the right-HAND corner…Plus take NOTE of the grades visible on the other two test papers…both “A”s…So we have to conclude that the test couldn’t have called for all that much SENSE…Spidey or KNOT to pass…and that Stan’s definitely gotten himself into a STICKY situation…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And if you’re wondering how little Stan was so capable of making such a witty comeback? Maybe beCOURSE he knows that with great power comes great RESPONSE-ABILITY! 🕷️🙋🏻♀️

🥋Feeling like SLUDGE, and running a LOW-GRADE FEVER, he realized he was wrong to FORCE himself to attend the KARATE class…and he’d WOVEN himself a tangled web!🥋
🤦🏻♀️They went to see “KARATE Kid”, a story WOVEN well,
No need to FORCE each other, they were both under it’s spell…
The weather though was horrid, they traveled through the SLUDGE,
Only to get home and to find neither of them could budge…
Thing is they’re getting older and both need become believers…
That bad weather means staying home…lest risk a LOW-GRADE FEVER! 🤦🏻♂️
I’m gonna need some tacos today to heal the brain wound that todays jumble gave me ! First off , the anagrams were all good except one I got smacked in the head from KARATE, and I had to look it up ! Maybe that’s happened with not getting the jumble ! I pulled four or five words out of all the letters and I couldn’t come up the solution’ this one gave me a LOW GRADE FEVER ! I’m gonna have some tacos to heal the wounds ! Angela that was a great song for this one , I have listened to it a lot ! So everyone have a good day Wednesday !!!!!
Tks, Jim…🕷️🙋🏻♀️
Same with me, stumped by karate and then looking that up and having all the letters, I didn’t have a clue regarding the cartoon solution. My mid season slump is alive and well.HELP!
Hang in there, Professor! 👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
I tried my very best to weave any clues together for today’s Jumble. Angela, you really got to the heart of the matter…Me?? nothing. So after unscrambling the anagrams, took a minute or so before GRADE appeared, and then it all fell into place. As I was opening your blog, had a suspicion that FEVER would make the song list today…so that was spot on. Have a great Taco Tuesday.
Tks, Terry..And Ms Lee started singing in my head the minute the solve came into view…🕷️🙋🏻♀️
Great minds think alike…though yours might be a wee bit greater.
LOL! TBT though? I never use the word great when thinking of myself. For me it’s a mediocre mind…I’m always hoping to improve! 😉🙋🏻♀️
Yes….and I am always starting the day with the Jumble (after a quick game of Free Cell…still addicted) and onto NYT for Wordle, Mini X-word and Connections. Printed out LA Times X-word, then in Austin paper the USA X-word and 7 Little Words. That about finishes me up. I know you do more !!! Way to go.
Yes, I do a ton…I think 12..I’d have to check…I do a lot of David’s puzzles each day…Love his puzzles..🙋🏻♀️
🤦🏻♂️Got a young boy who’s truly obsessed,
And it keeps him from doing his best…
Comes to schoolwork…back burner the place,
But he’s now falling way out of grace…
‘Cause he’s failing one too many tests! 🤦🏻♂️
🕷️Spider-Man took young Stan Lee by storm,
But his actions are far from the norm…
It’s all that he thinks of,
And when push comes to shove…
He’s created a type of maelstrom! 🕷️
🤷🏻♂️Looks like Stan can’t get his head on school,
And he’s starting to act quite the fool…
Poor kid needs to adapt,
Try to his mind unwrap…
Not to let Spider-Man overrule! 🤷🏻♂️
🤦🏻♀️Mrs Watson…she’s now had her fill,
Finds herself reaching for the Advil…
She needs Stan Lee to see,
That a series of D’s?
Aren’t reflecting one bit of skill…🤦🏻♀️
🕷️Wonder what it will take for this kid,
To put Spider-Man under a lid…
‘Cause enough is enough,
Time to call Stan Lee’s bluff…
And reel in obsession arachnid! 🕷️
Good morning. No problem with the words but still having trouble with the cartoon answers. I had the right letters down and even had fever in my head but that’s as far as I got. Perfect song choice Angela, that song will always be associated with her. No one does it better. Until tomorrow take care.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. And I agree. Ms Lee definitely put her stamp on it…Take care…enjoy your day 🕷️🙋🏻♀️
Good mental workout today. 🧠. No problem with the anagrams but had to resort to pencil & paper to work out the cartoon solution. Finally saw “fever” and then low grade . Good challenge. Good song choice as always, Miss Angela. Happy Tuesday all!
Tk you, Betty…❤️🙋🏻♀️
It took me quite a while to eek out “fever”, until late this evening, after that it came together … a very clever and challenging jumble today. It was so much fun to finally figure it out, almost gave up on it.
