    ♦️A poker table’s not the place where FUSSY habits thrive,
    One needs to remain stoic if one cares to stay alive…
    A novice player need be sure no tells creep into play,
    He can’t BOBBLE his head or put odd moves out on display…
    Like water in a KETTLE, things can really get quite hot,
    First, second and the THIRD chances of winning any pot?
    Demeanor and some savviness…with hopes he won’t regret…
    That he sat in where staying out would have been HIS BEST BET…♦️

    A novice Poker player…a Diamond in the rough..so to speak…Along with a Heart, a Club and a Spade…

    We’ve been FLUSH with Poker-themed puzzles for years now, and I have to HAND it to David, since we’ve been DEALT some pretty good WINS…with Poker being among one of our FAVORITE subjects. But let’s get one thing STRAIGHT…Any dedicated Jumble PLAYER knows by now that Poker is a GAME HELD close to Jeff’s HEART, and he loves to DRAW these types of cartoons. Only thing is, he’s no novice to the game…so seeing him here today, the only thing I can deDEUCE is that it must be reminiscent of his early Poker days…before his game got BETTOR…and he was TAKEN into the FOLD…

    So…Today, a poker game in progress. And I could be misTAKEN, but I think Jeff’s seated flanked by Donnie at left, and Dennis at right…a PAIR of gentlemen who share his penchant for Poker. But I’m not sure, so don’t put your MONEY ON IT…The fourth player though, in the cowboy hat? Jeff’s HAND at whimsy, because HOLDing the 10-2? The “trash hand”? I’m pretty sure he’s giving us the amazing professional Poker player, Texan Doyle Brunson… https://tinyurl.com/yjwhfzrj …And in that case…God knows Jeff had no business sitting at that table…So what we’re witnessing is him being TAKEN to the cleaners, while the other three are CLEANING UP…And as what can oft times happen during a poker game, we’re privy to some trash talkin’…with Jeff the recipient of a JOKER two…Let’s face it, Poker always brings out the POT stirrers…The remark about Jeff being sent back to his HOUSE early? That’s LOW…And the “expensive lesson”? While it does TELL the truth…it’s still a KICKER. Seems like after SIZING Jeff up, there’s NO LIMIT to what they’re JAMming him with today… But what it all boils DOWN to is that Jeff’s DOWN to his last four chips, and as far as letting the chips fall where they may? That ship has sailed…in SPADES, and at this point he’s in no POSITION to RAISE any complaints…He obviously was NUTS to sit in with these guys in the first PLACE…Not playing would have been HIS BEST BET.. https://tinyurl.com/2p8pkv24

  3. 🤦🏻‍♂️After the FUSSY Shortstop got caught in his THIRD BOBBLE of the day, his arrogance became a case of the pot calling the KETTLE black…and at this point, HIS BEST BET was to just remain silent for the rest of the practice…🤦🏻‍♂️

    💤 The FUSSY baby cried all night, the THIRD one in a row,
    His parents were exhausted, the fatigue starting to show…
    His Mother put a KETTLE on…maybe a real strong brew,
    Would help them beat that BOBBLE thing…give energy anew
    Both their heads nodding up and down…they’re tired and they fret…
    And both agree for this poor kid….some sleep is HIS BEST BET…💤

  4. Good Monday morning , start of a new week of jumbles ! And once again it started out nice and fun ! The anagrams were not at all FUSSY and they came as smooth as my coffee out of the KETTLE ! Which means I didn’t BOBBLE them ! So I’ll have my THIRD cup ! Now the jumble , I got a little arrogant and pulled out BEST right away and was juggling with HIS BEST or THE and then when I couldn’t use BEST again , I saw BET , and that was HIS BEST BET was there ! Loved it ! So 🎵 you got to know when to hold em ….🎵.,,know when to fold em ..,,🎵,know when to walk away … know when to run 🎵 ! Another nice jumble , start of the week ! Everyone have a great Monday !!!!

  5. Such an amazing essay that Angela writes up today !! Wow, one for the history books. You gleaned soooo much information out of that poker table…Well Done. I was perusing the puzzle cartoon and the obvious B’s in the anagrams and conjured up BEST BET…..but what to place in front of it?? I chose THE, which was wrong, but still am giving myself partial credit for a blind solve. Anagrams were easy to unscramble to find that little error. I could never play poker…my eyes give away too much information. No steely glances from me !! Have a great Monday.

  6. Good morning. I’ll read everything later as I have to get out early this morning. No problem on either parts of jumble today. Simple as ABC and I even got a blind solve. I’ll have to figure out why I couldn’t get the song to play. Until tomorrow take care.
