  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🍷ANOTHER DRINK?….WINE NOT?🍷

    🎶If you can’t be with the one you love…love the WINE you’re with…love the WINE you’re with…🎶 (with apologies to) Crosby, Stills Nash &Young – 1971 https://tinyurl.com/3n2n45wa

🍷The atmosphere quite friendly, mostly the neighborhood crowd,
Your DOLLAR went a long way…and the music wasn’t loud…
Sometimes it might be country, or OPERA…and some jazz,
But guaranteed it always gave the place the right pizazz…
The laughter always rang true, and HUMOR could be heard,
The perfect place to sit and drink…harsh words were never heard
And while you’d probably not be seeing any CLERGY through the door…
The new bartender proved to have a solid GOOD “RE-POUR”…🍷

You know what they say…”There’s always room for one more”!…

So…Today we find ourselves at a neighborhood watering hole, “The Grape Escape”…where we meet the new bartender, Drew BarryPOUR…And she’s seen refilling (= RE-POURING) a patron’s glass of wine…all the while, with her friendly manner and attention to detail, winning over and developing a relationship (= RAPPORT) with the clientele…Drew’s establishing a…GOOD “RE-POUR”* …And our question giving us “get to know”, our dialogue giving us the SET UP, and those tell-tale quotation marks FILLING in the blanks…we’ve easily, breezily SIPPED our way through another one…Let’s face it, Folks…It’s definitely PINOT while since we came up DRY…

Jeff’s 💎Gems? There’s a hanging wine glass rack…And If you look real closely, you can see that the pendant on Drew’s necklace is a cluster of grapes…and that she has 5 ear piercings…And the wine she’s pouring? Jumble label, of course…but I can’t make out the year…you know, I SEDIMENT the vintage…but if I had to guess, I’d go with ‘54…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who while working as a bartender in ROME, had a man walk in, hold up two fingers,✌🏻 smile and say, “FIVE beers, please”…Only my friend didn’t get it…no insight at all…IMO, he just didn’t deSERVE to be there…🍷🙋🏻‍♀️

    *GOOD RAPPORThttps://tinyurl.com/5xex4b8m

  2. 💸 While attending the OPERA fundraiser, the CLERGY, who always had a GOOD RAPPORT with the congregation, injected a bit of HUMOR when they told a story about the little boy and his DOLLAR donation…💸

⛪️ They tried the DOLLAR donuts, but still they came up short,
So the CLERGY held a meeting…at which they did report…
HUMOR aside there’s nothing funny ‘bout the empty coffers,
And asked for any suggestions the faithful just might offer…
Someone said, “What about an OPERA put on by the choir”?
Or maybe hold a magic show…magicians we can hire
…We could sell advance tickets…but charge extra at the door”…
And ideas then were bandied ‘bout…thank God for GOOD RAPPORT…⛪️

  4. 🤷🏻‍♀️A bartender always must be,
    A person who’s happy to see…
    The people who drink,
    Or business could sink…
‘Cause no one’s looking for ennui…🤷🏻‍♀️

🍷Quite often they see the same crowd,
    And a good bartender’s always unbowed…
    As they pour the Bordeaux,
    Goes along with the flow…
And definitely does the bar proud…🍷

👍🏻Today we see our ‘tender Drew,
    A woman who’s starting out new…
And she makes sure that she,
    Dots the I’s, crosses T’s…
As she gets to know all the bar’s crew…👍🏻

👭🏻And she’s definitely earning her keep,
    Knowing a good rapport don’t come cheap…
    Surely getting to know,
The likes of Jane and Jo…
    And let’s face it…it’s kudos she’ll reap…👭🏻

🧢 So we tip our cap to her today,
For showing her warm, winning way…
And I’m sure she’ll do fine,
    Pouring that wine…
    And making sure customers stay…🧢

  5. Good morning. Fun Jumble today. The anagrams were all there for me and the final solve was easy because she was re-filling the wine glasses in the cartoon. Angela, you stumped me with your friend story. Two fingers and five beers ? LOL Have a great Saturday. Thanks, Stan

    • Good Afternoon, Stan. I’m sure you’ve gotten it by now, if you’ve read Terry’s comment. I’m definitely running late today… wayyyyy behind schedule. I’m exhausted! 🤦🏻‍♀️ But yes. Roman Numeral V = 5 … 🍷🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Was the intention of today’s puzzle a “good rapport”, or not?? Or just having an extra tasting as in RE-POUR? Anyway, I thought quotation words was the good vibes the bartender was building…therefore, a GOOD RA-POUR. After anagrams done, saw NO A, and thus RE-POUR. Regardless, a nice use of the word POUR in the puzzle. And yes, that Roman flashing his two fingers was really using Roman Numerals. All in all, a pretty clever Jumble Saturday. Thanks, Angela. Terry

    • Terry….you’re throwing me a bit here…but it could be me…Of course it’s a pun on the word RAPPORT…the dialogue surely attests to that. And yes, there’s also the refilling the glass…a “RE POUR”, so to speak,  as seen in the cartoon.. Punning as RA-POUR wouldn’t cover all the bases.  I think David was extra brilliant with this one…got the double meaning in there. That’s why, as I mentioned to Jim yesterday, it’s important to take it all:on.l.the dialogue, the drawing…etc…YW…And glad you got the Roman Numeral reference…🍷🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. It seems the bartender is striving

To make sure that sales are thriving

    Drinkers, please be mature

    Be safe and secure

If you are the ones who’ll be driving!

    Helen

    • 🚕 Sure that they’re responsible gals,
And are planning an Uber to hail…
      Indulging like this,
With such a sense of bliss…
Mixed with driving could land them in jail…🚕

      🧍🏻‍♂️But maybe they won’t need a cab,
‘Cause after they’ve settled their tab…
      A beau will appear,
      To ensure they adhere…
And the night will just go down as fab!🧍🏻‍♂️

  8. Good morning. Two of the words gave me trouble which annoyed me because they were easy but the cartoon answer was a breeze because once the letters were down I saw Good right away. The rest just fell into place. I did get your bar joke Angela after a short pause. I usually don’t pick up on them so overall I would say I’m having a good day.

    • Good Afternoon, Paul. Happy you got the bar joke…happy you got the solve…and even happier you’re having a good day! Take care…🍷🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Paused on the dollar anagram, but then having the letters was able to solve the cartoon despite the quotes and hyphenated words! Yikes! Chuck!

  10. OPERA took a bit, and guessed RE-POUR for the solve, but needed the letters to see GOOD.

    • As long as you solved it, Dennis…👍🏻doesn’t matter how we get there! 🍷🙋🏻‍♀️
