  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🦒RUNNING NECK AND NECK?🦒

    🎶 LIAR, LIAR,pants on fire…Your nose is LONGER than a telephone wire..🎶…”Liar, Liar” – The Castaways 1965 https://tinyurl.com/mryajast

🦒He said that he had secrets, he kept them in a VAULT,
But no one found him credible…and it was all his fault…
He swore he was superior, no FATTY skin on him,
“I’m faster than the rest of you… I’m NEATLY fit and trim…
Want proof? Mention a DOLLAR ‘mount…come on my fellow males…”
But they just rolled their eyes as he once more TOLD A TALL TALE! 🦒

There’s always one, right? The boastful, conceited, arrogant member of the group…In this case, a tower…No, not that he towers over the others…a collective of Giraffes is called a journey, or a tower… https://tinyurl.com/23tp7pwr You know, as in something TALL…

So…today we find ourselves in the Serengeti, https://tinyurl.com/mtj7ajsd where a trio of GIRAFFES  https://tinyurl.com/2arna557 are engaged in conversation. And while one is claiming to be superior, the other two LONG-suffering ones, dining on an Acacia tree, https://tinyurl.com/3tva3euz  collectively have had it with his STORY (= TALE) telling (= TOLD)…and NECKid, bold-faced LIES = TALL TALES..He acts as if he has a HIGHER calling or something…So, yes, once again, SAFARIs all the other Giraffes are concerned? He TOLD A TALL TALE… https://tinyurl.com/2p85x9pb  Cheetah, indeed!…And they all have CALF a mind to tell him that if he keeps this UP, don’t look for any of them to stick their NECKS out https://tinyurl.com/mrbcbtnm  for him if he RUNS into trouble…

Jeff’s 💎Gem? A LONG way off in the distance, another Giraffe dining al fresco…And the “marking” remark? SPOT on!

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend’s brother, who’s a priest. At the end of Mass one Sunday, he told his congregation that next week he intended to preach about the sin of lying, and that to better understand the sermon, they should read Mark 17. The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, he asked for a show of hands…wanting to know how many did the reading…and every hand went up…My friend’s brother smiled and said, “Mark only has sixteen chapters”….And then proceeded with his sermon on lying…🦒🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Good morning Angie. I just doubled back and read the last part of your post and left with a grin from ear to ear. As I was reading it I had an idea it was something like that. A real good one today. Thanks.

      • Good Morning, Paul. LOL! YVW…and Tk you…🦒🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🥩 They said he TOLD A TALL TALE when he claimed that the expensive cut of Kobe beef, NEATLY kept in what they called the VAULT, was FATTY in his opinion…and definitely not worth its DOLLAR price per pound…🥩

🤷🏻‍♂️The lesson FATTY tissue, defined as adipose,
Under the skin, like in a VAULT, one student did suppose…
Some NEATLY stored, some not so much, but bet your bottom DOLLAR,
You’d hate to have a lipoma forming around your collar…
The mention of it bothered him…but lest the course he fail?
He looked for a distraction…to himself TOLD A TALL TALE…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. 🗣️The thing about telling a lie,
As the days and weeks tend to go by….
    You can’t just forget,
    What you’ve said…or regret…
…Sets in as your rep goes bye-bye…🗣️

🤦🏻‍♂️And the boasting that some people do,
Like the Giraffe in our puzzle anew…
    Can get under one’s skin,
    As their patience wears thin…
And is tolerated by very few…🤦🏻‍♂️

🦒This Giraffe that we see here today,
Claiming running he’d blow all away?
    Says he has cheetah blood,
    Thinks he’s definitely a stud…
But the others just hate the display…🦒

🦒…Of bravado this Giraffe does spout,
And they tell him, “Enough of your mouth…
    Our legs too are long,
    If you want to belong…
Get real with what you’re all about…”🦒

🤷🏻‍♂️Wonder what will become of this liar,
Will the others hold his feet to fire?
    Will he keep telling tales,
    With his inane details…
Or mature and learn to set sights higher?🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Small hump day Wednesday, but I got it ! The anagrams were all there ! The jumble with giraffes , the first word you have to see is how TALL they are , then I got got TOLD and the rest were there , but I wasn’t a 100% sure that was it ! But it was ! 6. I was really, really close this morning…and scampered out into the jungle with XXXX A TALL TALE, but missed that very first word. That was a little bit embarrassing. Anyway, unscrambled the anagrams quickly to finish up the answer. Funny sermon story, Angela. Enjoy your hump day. Terry

  7. Good morning. Another good outcome today. Not much time spent on the words and I automatically started to put all the letters down before I realized I hadn’t looked at the cartoon. The combination of the picture and letters gave me a quick solve. Until tomorrow take care.
