From working on the lodge…but now our couple’s quite verklempt
(And RHINO bites the dust here…way too much time ‘twas taking)…
We’re here today to celebrate…after years “INN” THE MAKING…🏘️
Finally…And here’s hoping they recoup their INNvestment…
So…today we find ourselves at the newly renovated “Home Sweet Home” Vacation Stay, where we meet Woody ALL-INN, and his wife, Gracie. Having INNvested years ago in a rundown home, where they envisioned opening up (= MAKING) a small lodge, (= INN) we see them finally putting out their “Vacancy” sign as at long last they’re ready to open. After years…”INN” THE MAKING…And with “small lodge”, and “years” in our question, with “finally” and “so much…(etc)” in our dialogue, plus those tell-tale quotation marks? …No need to go double CHECK IN this one, Folks…We’ve easily, breezily RESERVED ourselves another ENTRY in the win column…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The ubiquitous “Welcome” mat at the front door, and the cobblestone path leading to the quaint little gazebo at back, complete with a set of those vintage twisted wrought iron heart back ice cream parlor chairs and table …HOMEY…
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who really embarrassed himself the last time we all went away to a B&B…As we were checking INN, we noticed him staring at a sign on the wall. He then asked the owner, “What time do you get in by”? We all looked at one another wondering…huh?…And the owner, as confused as we were, said, “Well, I’m the owner, I live here. Why do you ask”? And my friend said…”Well the sign on the wall says guests have to be in before you”…Shaking his head, the owner replied, “No, it says, “Guests must be in before 1 AM”…I swear…he drives us INNsane…we just can’t take him anywhere…🏘️🙋🏻♀️
🍹The GANGLY owner of the Chinese restaurant/bar, the “Sino RHINO” a trendy new club IN THE MAKING, ran a promo where every Wednesday night women were EXEMPT from paying for any mixed DRINK…🍹
🦏 The child drew a RHINO, though a GANGLY-looking sort, And showed it going for a DRINK next to the old seaport… Imagination not EXEMPT from wild things it’s baking… His Mother all the while thinking…”My artist IN THE MAKING”!🦏

👍🏻 Not realizing the cost of re-no, Wasn’t long ‘fore their savings would go… But through blood, sweat and tears, They said, “We’ll persevere”… And determination they did show…👍🏻
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♂️So a loan our couple had to take, Leaving debt for themselves in the wake… But they worked overtime, Saving every thin dime… Just to ensure the lodge they would make…🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️
🏘️ Fixed it up…had it looking brand new, Said goodbye to every repair crew… Put out the welcome mat, Every detail’s down pat… And they’re grateful that they made it through…🏘️
🍷And now finally they’ve put up their sign, Yes it’s time that they break out that wine… Here’s to wishing them luck, Prayers that they won’t be stuck… But that lodgers come standing in line!🍷
Good end of the work week Friday ! I got all the anagrams , but the RHINO was tough to ride ! The jumble , I got IN THE KING , but got thrown off with the extraN on INN and the MA for MAKING ! But it was a fun one !! Your song choice Angela , was perfect ! And your friend was a little bit off the clock ! Another nice post ! Tks, Jim…The quotation marks though were a dead giveaway for INN…the whole idea behind the punny solve. It was a LODGING establishment…That’s why I advised you take that “earlier in the day” site with a grain of salt. They don’t give you the quotes or the dialogue…or a cartoon for that matter…the keys to a solve. The word IN would have no place in quotes, and KING doesn’t fit INN at all! 😉 Trust me, you’re limiting yourself…Give it a shot, wait until after midnight and work with any of the Tribune sites…you’ll see the difference…

Hi All! I’ve been traveling so first Jumble in a while. Easily done but had to lookup rhino as thought it was an abbreviation and learned it is a plural word by itself. Also learned Rhino is British slang for cash. Never heard that before.
