    But today he is quite nervous…with the helper that he chose…
    He knows the man’s def capable, it’s the FOURTH time they’re a pair,
    But he’s holding his breath making sure the work he won’t IMPAIR…
    His nerves yes…they are BOTTLEd up…MYSELF though, I’m just fine…
    The vein is found …and see that look? It’s a “LODE” OFF HIS “MINE”…🔦⛏️

    So…Today…a MINE shaft, where we find a nervous prospector, Ernest BorgMINE, and his worker, Ben AfFLECK…And we see that Ernest’s choice (= made up his MIND) of Ben was a good PICK…and that this excavation wasn’t in VEIN…Since they’ve hit the Mother LODE https://tinyurl.com/yckapamp …And once Ben saw that FLECK of gold? For Ernest? It was definitely took a…”LODE” OFF HIS “MINE  https://tinyurl.com/mr4dvrdj  …And with the leading NATURE of our question, our RICH dialogue of “finally found” (= the LODE) and “beginning to lose hope” (= LOAD OFF)…and of course those very cleverly placed tell-tale quotation marks…we’ve not been SHAFTed here today…We’ve once again STRUCK GOLD with a perfect puzzle to end our week…And there’s no reason to NUGGET this one lickety-SPLIT…

    Jeff’s💎Gems? Ben’s pick seen falling with all the excitement…And the hard hat head lamps worn by both he and Ernest, shown beaming down at just the right spot?…WEALTH…that definitely SHEDS LIGHT on our solve…

    So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of a friend of MINE, who was considering taking a job as a MINER…But it never PANned out…He CAVED IN…Seems every time he put on the hard hat he felt LIGHT HEADED…Sometimes I really wonder…CARAT get any worse with this guy?…⛏️🔦🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. ….AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…I thought I definitely recognized this solve as being one from the past…and I was HAMMERING away looking for it…but turns out it was all in VEIN…I STRUCK out trying to FIND IT…Here though are the two puzzles that had me leaning in that DIRECTION…The puzzle of May 2nd, 2024, https://tinyurl.com/75y4f85r  …and the puzzle of November 23rd, 2018… https://tinyurl.com/4trjv8j7 You know me…I can’t BEAR to think one of these gets past me! Anyway…OJYNE these BLASTS from the past…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 👍🏻 After spending more than a DECENT amount of time, and finally getting to the FOURTH round, everyone, including MYSELF, hoped nothing would IMPOSE on or IMPAIR his progress…so it was a LOAD OFF HIS MIND, and everyone else’s, when they finally got to crack open that champagne BOTTLE in celebration…👍🏻

    🐶 The FOURTH grade teacher felt there was a DECENT number there,
    He had hoped for a bigger group, but won’t let it IMPAIR…
    What needed to be done…he was def grateful they had come, 
    And figured maybe others felt he did IMPOSE on some…
    But I MYSELF was ok…and hoped he won’t BOTTLE up,
    What I knew was important… regarding the stray pup
    The issue need be dealt with…the owner they must find…
    And settling the whole thing would be a LOAD OFF HIS MIND…🐶

    But they’ve now struck their gold,
    It’s a sight to behold…

  9. very nice Sunday Funday jumble ! I can’t believe I got all the anagrams and then when I layed out the letters, I then saw the quotation marks on the first and last words ! Well I got MINE and then the rest came but had to look up LODE ! But after that it all made sense and it was very good jumble ! Angela your post was really fun and interesting to read ! Jeff’s gems and David’s past ones and anagrams ! Very interesting post ! Great song choice and let’s move on to a new week and start an undefeated week of jumbles ! Have a great Sunday Funday !!!!!

  11. Good morning. I was able to get the words with no problem but failed on the cartoon answer. I see that a lot of people had trouble coming up with an answer to the children’s puzzle. I think it’s a lame answer whatever it is. Especially since we have different answers. Nothing seems to look good. As always Angela, enjoy all your hard work. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good morning again. I want to back up on my remark about the children’s puzzle. I really am getting old, I saw a T instead of the L and had my own word for it. Couldn’t figure out why the guys had a W in their answer until I rechecked. Still don’t like the answer but it is what it is. The care.
