  1. Good Morning, Everyone…📚AGES AGO 📚

    🎶THROUGH THE YEARS…🎶…”Through The Years” – Kenny Rogers- 1981  https://tinyurl.com/33kwvbu2

📚The young girl is quite funny, her question on the mark,
She’s looking at the time span….to her it’s ages dark…
She’s probably thinking ANYONE can see that this time span,
Could take a while to digest…so what’s up with this man?…
Will he INSIST they get it all today in this one class?
(And DOUGH along with SKIER? Today they’ll need to pass)
She can’t help thinking this lesson? A tablet’s many pages…
To go from Stone to Middle? Let’s face it…it TOOK AGES!…📚

…But on this one we didn’t need to SPAN any TIME at all…

So…Today a classroom of what appears to be middle schoolers. And the lesson? It’s right there in our question…The various AGES…And it looks like our teacher intends to TAKE them through them all…Hence our girl’s question…So…our solve? To go from the Stone Age forward? It…TOOK AGES*…And for us?…An easily, breezily class dismissed…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And my friend seems to be ABSENT today…📚🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 💰It TOOK AGES for them to come up with enough DOUGH to meet the lifestyle of the top SKIER…since ANYONE could see that he did INSIST on the very best…💰

🤷🏻‍♂️The SKIER did INSIST that he would learn to knead the DOUGH,
If ANYONE could swing it…it’d be him…you should know…
He had the cookbook opened…and went through all the pages…
He finally got the knack of it…although yes…it TOOK AGES! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. I can’t believe the major hump to get over today on Wednesday ! First off , two anagrams stopped me , so I made some DOUGH and gave it to ANYONE ! Then the jumble with only eight letters TOOK AGES to get it ! I couldn’t figure it out ! I saw Goes , Gets , Kaose , if that’s how you spell it ! I was really shaking my head that I should’ve got it ! But I didn’t ! Oh well I’ll finish the week with nice jumbles to come and solve !

  5. great song Angela , nice post as usual and I hope your friend comes back tomorrow ! Have a great day !!!! ….this is Jim

    • Don’t feel bad Jim. Worse for me. I got ages immediately. It “took” me “ages” to come up with took. I thought I had a brain cramp. It seems others didn’t get it right away either. Steve from Toronto.

  6. 📚History lessons can sometime be rough,
They’re definitely not composed of fluff…
    There’s a lot to digest,
And when put to the test…
Some young ones can find it quite tough…

🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️So much has gone on through the years,
Lots of blood, sweat and toil…and tears…
    But it must be preserved,
    And the lessons observed…
So that none of our past disappears…🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

👨🏻‍🏫 And today we see youngsters in class,
    With a teacher who’s teaching “en masse”…
    Covering lots of time,
    Like a turn on a dime…
And a young girl who’s hoping to pass…👨🏻‍🏫

🤦🏻‍♀️…The test that she knows will be next,
And she’s worried that it’s too much text…
Will she get it down pat?
All the what, this and that?…
We can see that she’s very perplexed…🤦🏻‍♀️

🤷🏻‍♀️Here’s to hoping she follows the map,
Gets it all underneath that wool cap…
    Yes, there’s lot be learned,
    But before class adjourned?…
    Let’s hope our gal won’t cause a flap!🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. Today, I let an easy one slip away. Saw the obvious AGES and didn’t find a word to accompany it. But unscrambling the anagrams led to a quick solve. Great Kenny Rogers song, and sorry to find your friend sleeping in today. Terry

    • Terry…The game was set up to solve the words first…There shouldn’t be any pressure to do otherwise….getting the solve is what counts. And thank you…I agree it’s such a pretty song. My friend? We’re both exhausted…📚🤦🏻‍♀️

      • Oh….I know, Angela, and we’ve had this conversation before. But still kinda fun to immediately see the answer. Hope your weather cooperating with Spring Fever today. Terry

  8. Fun and easy Jumble today. The anagram Anyone almost got me but it came to me as I was working on the next one. Angela, I think your friend is absent because the weather is finally decent here ! Get outside and enjoy. Thank you, Stan

    • Here?…But my friend’s in NY, Stan…😂 And although it was beautiful here y’day…it’s not Spring fever! 📚🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Here is Greater Pittsburgh. We got to 71 degrees yesterday. I thought NYC was almost the same ? LOL Stan

  9. Miscopied the letters from the insist anagram, writing down an N rather than the S, so was temporarily stumped on the cartoon, despite having written down ‘took’ as the first word. But then after correcting my error, the “took ages” solution quickly followed. Chuck.

  10. (for the second try)

Oh…I know, Angela, and we’ve had this conversation before. But still kinda fun to solve without anagrams. Works the brain a little bit. Enjoy your day. Terry

  11. All those millions and millions of years

Takes effort and time it appears

    To learn about the ages

You know, the eras in stages

But for some it bores them to tears!

    Helen

    • 🤷🏻‍♀️Yes, boring it surely may be,
      And with teens…ennui comes easily…
      But the fact still remains,
      A school must maintain…
      Curriculum…one must agree…🤷🏻‍♀️

👍🏻 And of course it’s not taught in one day…
      There’ll be testing…and need for essays…
      So the interest may pique,
      To the child unique…
Just by what a good teacher relays!👍🏻
