    • Good Morning, Everyone…🤿 DEPTH (IM)PERCEPTION?🤿

🎶 I don’t want to*…but I hate to lose you…You’ve got me in between the DEVIL and the DEEP BLUE SEA…🎶…”Between The Devil and The Deep,Blue Sea” – Miss Ella Fitzgerald 1955 http://tinyurl.com/y62nw3xk

🤿 He did INVEST a chunk of DOUGH, so he hates to abort,
The details though now quite OPAQUE…so what is his resort?
He wants to FIGHT the feeling…he’s slightly short of breath..
The 60 feet? He must admit…it’s def OUT OF HIS DEPTH! 🤿

So…Deep Sea Diving…A DESCENT hobby? For some maybe. But I FATHOM http://tinyurl.com/3mjsv2mz our guy here, COLE FEET, didn’t sit DOWN and give this much DEEP thought…and now he’ finds himself caught between the LEVEL and the DEEP blue SEE… http://tinyurl.com/53bf4hfb ready to cry…”KELP”! …Oh, the DEPTHS http://tinyurl.com/8bjwxtr5 man goes to in an effort to get to the BOTTOM of that bucket list!

OK…DOWN to business…Today, Hawaii, maybe. And oh, POI, do we have a problem. We find our novice DEEP sea diver faced with the reality that Math was never his strong suit…The best PAID plans of mice and men, right? http://tinyurl.com/bdezatn5 …But LOW and beFOLD, what does he do now? …Let’s face it, he can’t MASK his feelings at this point… and he’s already dug DEEP, and laid out some serious dough…So should he change his mind?…Can he handle the PRESSURE?…Should he just CAST fate to the wind and take the PLUNGE…or FLIP… PER the fact that he’s OUT OF HIS DEPTH? http://tinyurl.com/2bw7dy3s …I guess it all DEEP ENDS…But he sure looks DEEP-PRESSED if you ask me…So WATER you think? Maybe we could take aTOLL…you know, vote to deFINe the MEASURE of our man…TBT though…IMO?…DEEP DOWN it doesn’t look like he made much of a SPLASH that day…

Anyway…Jeff’s Gems? There’s the snorkel charm on the guide’s neck…but as always, it’s that Sinking Sailboat that comes out on TOP…hands DOWN…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And this puzzle reminds me of a friend of mine who whilst in the midst of a big fight with his wife, watched her let his prized German car drive right off a pier into the sea. And despite not being much of a swimmer, early the next morning he went DIVING to look for it…He got the BENZ…🤿🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤷🏻‍♀️The mere idea of a DOUGH bowl was completely OPAQUE to him, and he realized he was totally OUT OF HIS DEPTH…but he was still willing to INVEST the time…and FIGHT the crowds…at the craft store in an effort to purchase one for his wife…🤷🏻‍♀️

🏺He hated to INVEST the time, but had to FIGHT the fight,
Describing these OPAQUE vases had turned into a plight…
He needs the DOUGH…the article is almost done except…
He’s at a loss with these vases..they’re so OUT OF HIS DEPTH…🏺

  2. It took a little while to piece together today’s TGIF puzzle. No blind solve for sure, and I didn’t get OPAQUE right away. Played around with some various anagram letters until I stumbled upon DEPTH and then everything fell into place. It was a challenging game today. Angela, you did some swell word weavings into your post. And any song by Miss Ella gets my vote. Hope we can all stay warm and cozy today. Terry

    • Tk you, Terry. And yes, Miss Ella can do no wrong. Stay warm. 🤿🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. thank goodness this whole week was solvable jumbles , but today put a stop to that for me ! The anagrams were good except one , that after I had to look , I went DUH ! Instead of DOUGH ! The jumble was out of my depth ! Your play on words and puns are so fun to read , Angela ! And i agree with terry about Ella Fitzgerald ! So let’s bring on Saturday to cap the week off with a fun and entertaining solve !!!!!

  4. I’m trying to fathom this out

You know, just what it’s about

To dive in water that deep

    Well that’s a bit of a leap

Cos it seems this diver’s totally without…..

A sense of how deep to descend

He doesn’t even try to pretend

    That he understands measure

    Diving’s not just for pleasure

You have to be sure you know how to ascend!

This reminds of the time, when my family with various cousins all went to the local swimming pool. My dad was in charge. One younger cousin, brand new to water, stepped into to fairly deep water. When my dad pulled him out in a flash, my cousin stated in surprise that “the water goes all the way down to the bottom!”

  5. Today I found the words came easy to me along with solving the jumble answer. Have a nice weekend but stay warm.

  6. Anagrams were tough especially opaque, but having solved that one as well as the others, I turned to the cartoon. I thought the 2 letter word was ‘up’ and the 3 letter word was ‘his’ but then I was stumped, though ‘depth’ should have been an obvious choice. Chuck.

  7. Fairly easy today. Got the words without trouble. For the answer, it took a little while to find the answer, as I played around with some small words until I found the solution.

  8. Opaque was the word that took me the longest to figure out but no problem with the puzzle. Hope all of you stay wam and cozy in this very cold winter weekend. Betty

  9. Good afternoon. Funny thing happened on the return to jumble, I forgot to post this morning. Now that I think about it I got sidetracked and never got back to it. The first three words were a breeze but it took some time to finally spell opaque. The cartoon answer wasn’t to tough once I saw depth for the last word. Another enjoyable pick today Angela. Until tomorrow take care.
