  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🇫🇷 FRENCH HOST 🇫🇷

🎶I wanna take you HIGHER…yeah let me take you HIGHER…🎶 “I Want to Take You Higher” – Miss Tina Turner (originally recorded with Ike Turner) 1970 https://tinyurl.com/6kp5eamc

🇫🇷 Monsieur Eiffel’s looking kind of HARSH…I think it’s in the eyes,

(A search ENGINE not needed here…his name you must surmise)…

(And HALVE and SPLICE – related some -…and I did try to ‘weaver’…)

But they’ll sit out this puzzle ‘bout the Eiffel’s HIGH ACHIEVERS

Paris…BAGUETTE about it…One can’t help but think of the Tower, amour…and dancing CHIC to CHIC…

So…Today…Paris, France…circa 1888. And we meet Alexandre Gustave Eiffel,* at right, and at left, either Émile Nouguier or Maurice Koechlin…faites votre choix..and the almost completed Eiffel Tower.** And if you follow the leading nature of our question, “engineered and built”…pay close attention to the dialogue,, “new heights” (= HIGH) and “vision” (= ACHIEVING)…not to mention the obviously HIGH structure itself…this isn’t as hard as you might think it is at first glacé…I mean glance…These men were…HIGH ACHIEVERS*** And if you solved your words first, took out HIGH as the obvious first four letter word…and got a good look at the V, the R, and the C…even then, you had to get this solve tout d’suite…It just takes putting on the old thinking beret…

Jeff’s💎Gems? The blueprints and the unfinished top of the Tower…The rest is sort of blanc…I mean blank…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who recently returned from visiting Paris and the Eiffel Tower, and told us that he stood next to an obviously American couple in cowboy hats…He swears he overheard the man say to his wife…”I don’t get it. This is the fourth time that we’ve visited and they still haven’t found any oil here”…But you know my friend…when it comes to him we’re used to the drill…🇫🇷🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️Amongst the HIGH ACHIEVERS, the debate over HALVE vs half turned HARSH, with the word SPLICE being tossed around…and they resorted to using one search ENGINE after another… 🤷🏻‍♂️

🚂 He just wanted to HALVE a wire, not SPLICE his finger open,
And now his son’s toy ENGINE would have to remain broken
    He mumbled a few HARSH words…but he’s still a true believer…
…That he could have repaired it…he’s one of the HIGH ACHIEVERS…🚂

  3. 🇫🇷 They call Paris the City of Light,
    And it’s also a lover’s delight…
    With the Tower to view,
    It’s a perfect milieu…
For a charming and romantic night…🇫🇷

💍 And proposals have come to take place,
    Ambiance makes the easy embrace…
    Many tourists make plans,
    To ask for one’s hand…
And make memories not to erase…💍

👍🏻 And today it’s the Tower we see,
In a puzzle how it came to be…
    About Monsieur Eiffel,
    Who made the hard sell…
For the project to be given he…👍🏻

    💯With his background already intact,
Gustav knew he’d be on the right track…
    A tower for the Fair,
    Honor a 100th year…
It was planned to make quite the impact…💯

👏🏻👏🏻 Yes, Monsieur Eiffel wanted the best,
And he surely lived up to the test…
And through years that have passed,
    It’s magnificence lasts…
    High achievement perfectly expressed!👏🏻👏🏻

  5. I finally got one….studied the puzzle for just a few minutes and you’re right, Angela. I thought HIGH was probably the first word…and then came a miraculous ACHIEVERS after that. Anagrams posed no problem, too. And about your friend…typical American tourist, to be sure. Enjoy TGIF and stay warm and cozy. Terry

  6. Fun Friday Jumble. For some reason I needed help with the anagram Halve. After that, I figured High was the first word and then it took me a while but I finally came up with the solution. Nice song choice Angela. Loved your joke about not finding any oil yet. Have a great day ! Thanks, Stan

  7. Great play on words ! However , I must not have understood the question on who built it ! I was looking for Gustavo Eiffle , who built it or something familiar to him , but I couldn’t find it ! Oh well , it was a good jumble , just another tower to get over !

  8. I got erased and had to re-text my comment and I wasn’t done so Angela I wanted to say Tina turner is a good song choice ! And the description of the guys building gave me the achievers ! I just have to find my top thinking cap ! This was a good jumble , it just didn’t have my foundation of thinking ! Have a great TGIF and let’s cap it tomorrow !!!!

  9. By his very own admission

He put Paris in the perfect position

Oh how the tourists would flock

    To gaze and to gawk

At the best of all things Parisian!

    Helen

    • 👍🏻 And before that he did lend a hand,
To creating a statue quite grand…
      Liberty was her name,
And it brought him much fame…
As in NY’s Harbor it still stands…👍🏻

  10. Wow,Paris! Believe it or not,our granddaughter,Emily is in Paris and sent us a picture of the Eiffel Tower! Which was much better than my strikeout today on the Jumble.Chuck.

  11. Got as far as HIGH and then couldn’t iron things out.

That’s OK. Over 65% of Jumblers had the same trouble.

  12. Good evening. Earlier I went looking for yesterday’s post and couldn’t find it and it was done in short order with even a blind solve. Today I started out a few times but got sidetracked every time. The words were easy and as for the cartoon answer it took awhile to get the second word. Great song choice she sure puts tons of energy in her songs. Until tomorrow have a great day.

    • Good Evening, Paul. I just searched the folders and I don’t see anything from you yesterday. Who knows…Word Press has gotten very strange. In fact, this is my second time writing this…my first disappeared…🤷🏻‍♀️. Tk you, I’m glad you enjoyed Miss Tina…and yes, she was definitely one in a million…Take care. Enjoy your night…🇫🇷🙋🏻‍♀️

      • I have two Angela’s in my group of friends that I find to be outstanding and couldn’t do without. Thank you for your friendship. Paul

        • Back at you, Paul. You know you’ve always been a favorite of mine…❤️…Tell Angie I said hello…🙋🏻‍♀️
