  1. Good Morning, Everyone…📕NOAH’S ARK DE TRIOMPHE📕

🎶Give me one MOMENT IN TIME…When I’m more than I thought I could be…When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away…AND THE ANSWERS ARE ALL UP TO ME…🎶…”One Moment in Time” – Whitney Houston 1988  1988 https://tinyurl.com/yc3pf3vs

📕For Noah there was no way he went into it BLIND,

Since not a man to MINCE words…his happiness he’d find…

(I’m not including ENZYME…no way to bring it forth,

Like Noah I’m def one for words…but this one? Too hard FOUGHT)…

We see today dear Webster as he happily presents…

His dictionary to these Folks…a DEFINING MOMENT!📕

I doubt it’s a secret that I’ve had an ongoing love affair with words from as far back as I can remember. So, as a child, getting my very first dictionary was a thrill… And as far as words go… things have been LOOKING UP ever since…

So…Today…WEBSTER’S DICTIONARY*…And we find ourselves in Connecticut, at the very MOMENT when Noah Webster** proudly presents the first edition of his DICTIONARY (a book of DEFINITIONS)…And not one to MINCE ***WORDS, 😉…I can DEFINITELY tell you that the dialogue alone SPELLS it all out for us…”entry”, “meaning of the word” (= DEFINITION)…”legacy” (= impact, MOMENT)…Yes, for Noah, this was truly a DEFINING MOMENT****… And let’s be honest here, with this solve being so easy, breezy, we were able to LEAF it alone in no time…

Jeff’s💎Gems?…A gas lamp…and if you look real closely, you can see the title on the cover of the Dictionary…”American Dictionary of the English Language”*****

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who while we were having a conversation on Webster, and how it was he who got rid of the extraneous “u” in color/colour and chose meter instead of metre, and most of the other differences between American and British English spelling, said…”I guess Brett FAVRE didn’t get the memo”…(And when we told him that the name Favre comes from French…he said it still didn’t DEFINE it for him)…📕🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…

    ° The puzzle of May 27th, 2023… https://tinyurl.com/34fzumeu

° The puzzle of March 25th, 2012…”The publication of his dictionary wa this for Noah Webster”…A DEFINING MOMENT…NOEYJ! 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♀️While her teen was assigned a paper on the function of an ENZYME, the other, her six year-old, was asked to write three lines about “Three BLIND Mice”…a DEFINING MOMENT was when she FOUGHT back her laughter as the child headed the little story…”Three Blind MINCE”…🤷🏻‍♀️

👩🏻‍🏫 The lesson today, “ENZYME”, she caught her students BLIND,
But no words did she MINCE at all, it’s what they’d be assigned
A few FOUGHT her on fairness…not much time had been spent…
    On it before…but she’s thinking …a DEFINING MOMENT…👩🏻‍🏫

  4. 🔠 Loving words is a wonderful trait,
And for some of us there is no sate…
    Where we once needed books,
    Now we simply look…
To Google to carry the weight…🔠

    📕Dictionaries aid by any means,
Either pages or today our screens…
    Such a valuable tool,
For with words one can rule…
By creating any sort of scenes…📕

    👍🏻Whether aficionados of puzzles,
(Or just not in need of a muzzle)…
    Webster helped people speak,
    With the proper technique…
    And alleviated many struggles…👍🏻

🔠 For he took words…compiled them together,
In a book ‘llowing Folks to do better…
    He defined for the masses,
    What was taught in classes…
    Mastered each and every letter…🔠

🧢 So to Webster we def tip our cap,
It was his insight that closed the gap..
    Between not knowing how,
    To come off as highbrow…
    Or finding oneself in a flap… 🧢

  6. Well, I was on the right track. Had to unscramble to get into the game this morning and my first thought was DEFINITE. With that word, the other six letters made no sense and I knew it was MOMENT, too. So spelled MOMENT out first to find the first word. Should have been easier than that. Thanks for posting, Angela. Enjoy your day. Terry

  7. Good morning. No problem with the words but failed on the cartoon answer. Thank you Angela for back to back blockbuster songs with yesterday and today. I was in and out of the house yesterday and when I started to post it disappeared on me so I just gave up. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. I’m sorry you’re still having an issue with posting…It’s giving me some grief too. And YVW, glad you enjoyed the music. Tk you…Take care. 📕🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Well, as I posted a limerick on May 27/23 I won’t repeat myself. Like Noah. I’m all for economy of words!

  9. got a late start today , but all in good favor ! The anagrams were all there ! The jumble , I tried Definetion first the word DEFINE came and then I saw the ing and

    • I almost lost my comment again so now I’ll finish it ! Well , a nice Saturday to cap the jumble week off ! And Angela as always your post was very entertaining ! Your son’s choice , your history description And your friend , I love ! So let’s have a great weekend and bring on Sunday Funday !!!!! I just noticed I typed sons choice , and should’ve been song choice !

  10. A great start to the weekend with a quick solve of all even the multi-lettered cartoon on a 30 degree plus morning. Chuck.

  11. Nice Saturday Jumble. It looked familiar but that didn’t make it any easier. I had trouble with Enzyme in the anagrams and then I was able to get the final solve after a few moments. Great music choice Angela. You’ve heard me say how I love a full orchestra behind a singer. Have a nice weekend. It’s snowing here in Greater Pittsburgh. Thanks, Stan
