  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🎶🎊LOVE IS IN THE SQUARE🎊🎶

    🎶Auld Lang Syne…🎶…- The Shamrock Tenors 2021  https://tinyurl.com/mfnjczbv

🎊Def not a PILOT program…it’s been around for years,
Times Square and celebrating…confetti and the cheers…
And nothing can DEFEAT the thrill…the noise a roaring CLASH,
(And here’s where BEAKER gets left out…it doesn’t fit our bash)
The city opens arms real wide…and welcomes one and all…
To gather and to celebrate…as NY DROPS THE BALL!🎊

Today, NYC, Times Square…New Year’s Eve…https://tinyurl.com/4vr8sr2x and this couldn’t be any simpler…It’s the place where someone…DROPS THE BALL https://tinyurl.com/4hsnehf5 and rings in 2025…So while our age-old idiom may mean just the opposite in reality, for our puzzle here today, the “flawlessly” literally and figuratively perfectly fits the bill…And I’m sure YEAR’ll all agree…

Jeff’s💎Gems? The billboard for the “The Lion King”…the “One Times Square” Building bearing the images of he and David beneath the signature Jumble J, encircled in a square…the 2025 hats…And the BALL, as it begins its descent down the flagpole…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind…and stay safe out there tonight as you enjoy your New Year’s Eve…🎊🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️The PILOT had a feeling he’d CLASH with his wife over the BEAKER, and it came down to who DROPS THE BALL first and admits DEFEAT…🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️The PILOT had a schedule CLASH, and things weren’t so neat,
He’d hate to have to uproot everything and face DEFEAT…
Lifted his British BEAKER, took a sip, tried to recall…
If things were ever this screwed up…when someone DROPS THE BALL…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. 🗓️ Celebrated all over the world,
The night when the new year unfurls…
    And the people convene,
For the sights to be seen…
As confetti throughout the air swirls…🗓️

    🌍 Almost everywhere..large celebrations,
New York City on to many nations…
And the crowds wait en masse,
With no room left to pass…
As they stand arm to arm in their stations…🌍

🙏🏻 And there’s sentiment linked to the night,
They’ll be laughter and tears too on site…
It’s a time we all pray,
    For a better new day…
One that’s free from old hardship and plight…🙏🏻

👫🏻And today with our couple we see,
That they’re happy in Times Square to be…
For the ball that will fall,
    Symbolizes for all…
That party running A to Z…👫🏻

2️⃣5️⃣ So here’s to what the night will bring…
Closing out old while new takes on wing…
And as they watch it live,
    Here’s hoping ‘25…
Holds for them the best of everything…2️⃣5️⃣

  5. Get ready for a New Year ! This year ended with a little nah nah ! Two anagrams had me raise an eyebrow ! BEAKER made me weaker and CLASH made me splash ! Now the jumble was very traditional with the old saying DROPS THE BALL ! But I had to cheat a little ! It was still a wonderful year of 2024 jumbles and I am looking forward to a New Year of jumbles a with a great jumble family ! Bring them on ! Angela , that is a very perfect song to address the new year coming ! Looking forward to another fun jumble year !!!!!

  6. Missed an easy blind solve this morning….and certainly no way to end the Jumble year. It just didn’t click !! Oh well….solved the anagrams speedily, took out the THE, and the obvious answer appeared. Thanks for an outstanding year of Jumble blogs, Angela…and here’s hoping we all have a safe and wonderful New Year’s Eve. Terry

  7. I didn’t Drop The Ball on this blind solve. Thank you for keeping us entertained all year Angela with your wit and wisdom and excellent music choices. I always enjoy your posts each day and I enjoy the comments from the readers. I wish you and everyone a Very Happy New Year. Thanks, Stan

  8. Good morning. A nice way to end the year with a quick solve on both parts but no blind solve. Like Terry I took out the, right away and the rest was easily spotted. I would put your pick on the song choice as the best I’ve ever heard Angela. It was outstanding. Hope you’re back to normal and looking forward to the start of a new year with the jumble Family. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. I found it a very moving rendition too. Beautiful voices. As for me, unfortunately I’m still sick…Take care. 🎊🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. When it comes to dropping THIS ball

There’s not a shadow of doubt at all

    No fumbling allowed

You have to dazzle the crowd

    And hold them completely enthralled!

All New Year’s Eve outdoor events in UK cancelled due to bad weather so more eyes than ever on Times Square!

    Helen

  10. Happy New Year’s Eve! Solved the puzzle easily but had to back in beaker as “rebake,” isn’t a word and I don’t believe it is possible to “rebake” something anyway. In solving that last anagram, I’m reminded of Beaker, one of my favorite characters from the Muppet show. Many of the guests are long gone and forgotten (Zero Mostel), and the show itself not known to the younger generation. (Side note: Just watched Labrynth with the family and the boys enjoyed). Makes one reflect on how quickly time passes, which is certainly appropriate for today. I’ll get a lot exercise today, reflect in the evening with a bottle of wine, then be in bed by 9:30. (Only to be woken up when some set off all the illegal fireworks).

  11. Easy end of the year Jumble, but not a blind solve.

Have a happy new year everybody! May you be healthy and happy all year long.

  12. All is good with a quick solve of the anagrams and an even quicker solve of the obvious NY Eve cartoon solution. Happy New Year’s to Angela and the rest of you all! Chuck.

  13. Had a blind solve and wrote anagram answers and Jumble answer down in 58 seconds! That’s a Top Ten solve for me and a great way to end the year!

Thanks Angela for your daily column and Happy New Year everyone!
