Good MOURNING, Everyone ⚰️ A GRAVE SITUATION ⚰️
🎶Ashes to ashes and dust to dust…take it to the grave, Baby…REST IN PEACE…🎶 ..”Rest In Peace” – Taylor Austin Dye 2023 https://tinyurl.com/bdeejrw4
⚰️ He’s tired and his body hurts, he’d def INVITE a break,
He feels a KNIFE wedged ‘tween his shoulders…and it really aches…
Not wanting to CLASH with his wife, or his son for that matter,
He really wishes they’d slow down…he so don’t need the chatter…
He’s thinking of the idiom ‘bout “POETRY in motion”,
But he can’t move a muscle…and he hardly has the notion
He needs to sit and exhale…he hopes the talk would cease…
He’s dug all day and now he’d dig to simply REST IN PEACE…⚰️
Good GRIEF! This poor guy…He’d love to take the high GROUND, and accommodate his family, and he’s so not looking to DIG himself another HOLE…but there’s just no way he can agree to either his wife’s or his son’s BEQUEST…I mean request…It’s SOD, really…’Cause right now he just can’t BIER the thought of moving…and all he wants to do is just SHOVEL off to the bedroom and BURY his head in a pillow…
So…Today we see our main character, DOUG GRAVES, having just arrived home from a long, grueling day at the Memorial Park Cemetery, whose logo we see is a gravestone and the rising sun. So tired, that he even PASSED ON the offer of drinks with his fellow workers, he’s hardly gotten one foot in the GRAVE, I mean the door, before his wife on one side, and his son on THE OTHER SIDE, not to mention the dog, leash in its mouth, start taking tURNS COFFIN up https://tinyurl.com/4v37rj4n requests for his SERVICE. And poor DOUG, with the exhausted look on his face being a DEAD giveaway, is saying that he just needs at least a few moments to…REST IN PEACE… https://tinyurl.com/4rfj5bck …And as far as our solve goes? Another one BITES THE DUST!
So…There you have it Folks…DONE FOR…Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I heard this story about a funeral hair stylist who claims she had a real close BRUSH with DEATH…Seems she got terribly lost going to a job at a funeral home one night, forgetting to take the LAST RITE…With her friends DYING to hear the rest of the story, she WENT ON and on, but half way through they started to have GRAVE reservations, because the PLOT seemed to have just too many HOLES in it…and they WERE LOST…So as soon as she started in with some nervous COFFIN, it was a DEAD giveaway that she was BURYING herself with this fake story about her FINAL DESTINATION…A GRAVE mistake though, because now her DEARLY BELOVED friends all RIP into her whenever she tries to give them the DIRT on anything….Seems that she definitely SEALED her FATE… ⚰️ 🙋🏻♀️

…ANAGRAM HISTORY…🔠🙋🏻♀️
SLHAC: New anagram
FEINK: New anagram
ITVNIE: New anagram
ROYETP:New anagram
Traveling and spotty internet make for less than ideal Jumbling. Just getting to the puzzle thru Chicago Trib….and the format was such, that I just started with anagrams. Those complete, saw REST… and the rest followed. Wow, hump-day almost over. Catch you for a drink on Thirsty Thursday !!
📕He planned to hold a reading of his POETRY collection, titled “REST IN PEACE” and INVITE members of the local KNIFE-throwing club…hoping it wouldn’t CLASH with any of their performances…📕
🤦🏻♂️ They criticized his POETRY, felt it came off too morbid,
Said it would INVITE trouble and so it they might forbid…
To him it was a KNIFE to heart, he feared that they would CLASH,
Should they decide to censor him so soon…he felt it rash
He’d need to plead his case with them, and hoped that he could reach…
Some kind of an agreement lest his work all REST IN PEACE…🤦🏻♂️
Just a little hump day -Wednesday ! The anagrams were there , but I had some help with Suzie and she spoke POETRY to me ! The jumble was not there for me , but with Suzies help , we got REST IN PEACE ! Just a little hump to get over on this Wednesday ! It was another fun jumble ! So everyone have a great mid week Wednesday and bring on thirsty-Thursday !!!!!!!
🤦🏻♂️Doug worked all day and near broke his back,
Longs to get home and just hit the sack…
But he’s getting no rest,
Hardly up to the test…
Needs his family to cut him some slack…🤦🏻♂️
🤷🏻♂️Doug’s job doesn’t afford him a break,
Hours are long and the work a toll takes…
So when he’s heading home,
No desire to roam…
He’s not looking to remain awake…🤷🏻♂️
⚰️ Cemetery work does take its toll,
Just the way that the business does roll…
After such a long day,
Only thing Doug can say…
Is “I’m sorry…but I’m gonna fold”….⚰️
🤦🏻♂️So he’s asking for some time to sit,
Rest his weary bones and catch his wits…
Get some time to recoup,
Poor guy’s starting to droop….
Far as chores go, he just can’t commit…🤦🏻♂️
🤷🏻♂️ Doug is desperate to call it a day,
He can’t garden or with frisbee play…
He just longs for some peace,
Till his strength can increase….
‘Cause right now…acquiesce? There’s no way! 🤷🏻♂️
🤞🏻Hopefully wife and son see his need,
(As it is we hear Doug try to plead)…
And the requests do cease,
Let poor Doug rest in peace…
Here’s to hoping it’s Doug who succeeds…🤞🏻
Good morning. After a few days without a paper and enjoying time with part of my family it was fun to get back to jumble. Today was a good start for me. I had no problem with any of the words and once I put down all the letters for the cartoon answer after reading it a few times the answer just came to me. Interesting song Angela. First time hearing it. Until tomorrow take care
Good Morning, Paul. I wondered where you were…Glad to have you back. And yes, interesting indeed! Take care..🙋🏻♀️
Help!
Had all the anagrams and letters along with the ‘cemetery’ clue, but was too focused on the mowing and landscaping clue to solve the cartoon resulting in s wipeout Wednesday!
Not a midweek success!
Ah…you needed to not concentrate on that dialogue aLAWN, Prof…and think.Cemetery…and what Doug was saying…No worries…REST up and I’m sure you’ll be on much better GROUND tomorrow! 🙋🏻♀️
Ok. I need the answer.
