🎶You gotta be a football hero…🎶…”You Gotta Be a Football Hero” – Mr Perry Como 1956 https://tinyurl.com/2h9t75nr
🙌🏻The FLURRY of excitement was moving through the stands,
And gloves of COBALT, red and black were seen upon the hands…
The roar so loud a GOURD would hurt…this crowd just can’t be muted….
(And WIPER’s out)…It’s all about the fans we see UPROOTED!🙌🏻
This one was so easy to TACKLE, we should be UP IN ARMS!
So…Today..”The Wave”… https://tinyurl.com/7nu4jm53 where fans in a stadium stand UP in sections, raise and WAVE their arms in the air, and ROOT for their team in unison… And all I can say is, if you were STOMPED and haven’t SCORED with this easy, breezy, self-explanatory solve…well, you may not be a true enough FAN…Because this witty play on words is definitely one to CHEER for…The fans stood UP and ROOTED…Sections were UPROOTED…https://tinyurl.com/244bewjh …And we’ve quickly FIELDed another GOAL today…and PASSED with flying colors…
Jeff’s Gem…There’s a blimp!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I was going to leave you with a Football joke, but I decided to WAVE it off for today…🙌🏻🙋🏻♀️

…AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of October 07th, 2014. …After losing his lease, the owner of the plant nursery would be…UPROOTED…

🔵 He thought he’d go out of his GOURD, when a huge FLURRY of COBALT-colored balls suddenly began hitting his windshield, denting his WIPER and causing him to pull over wondering if his trip would be UPROOTED…🔵
🤷🏻♀️The child colored every GOURD in different shades and hues, Some orange, green and yellow…and even COBALT blue… He used his tiny WIPER…in a FLURRY changing some, But then taking another look…erased them…one by one… The reasoning behind it…why deciding they’d be booted? His Mother asked…”What happened here…Why are they all UPROOTED”?🤷🏻♀️
I can’t believe I had a 100% complete solve with anagrams and the jumble ! I really tried to pull out words related to a Wave , and one word finally came when I thought , why do you do the Wave ! Well you ROOT for the team ! That did it , cause I saw ROOT , then ED and UP made me raise my pen and I did the jumble-wave ! Very nice one today on Saturday ! And a good song about football with Mr Perry Como ! What a great feeling to get this jumble ! Everyone have a great Saturday !!!!!

No blind solve, for sure….and even if I had thought of the word ROOT, the solution would not have progressed from there. However, with anagrams solved, it was all easy to put together. I’ll go back and listen to that Perry Como song. Thanks for fun morning post, Angela. Are you cooking up a storm for New Year’s Eve ?? Get some rest, too. Thanks, again. Terry

YW, Terry. And Tk you. And no to the cooking question. 🙌🏻🙋🏻♀️

My initial thought was that the solution would be something that ended in ING but there was not an N in the anagrams. After finishing the anagrams, the solution was easy. Wish I would have known that Perry Como song when I was in high school. I might have done better with the girls ! Have a great Saturday ! Thanks, Stan

It’s something to see
And we hope there will be

Good morning. A little hesitation on the third word, other than that it was easy breezy. No blind solve but once the letters were down it was easily solved. Enjoyed your Perry Como song Angela. It’s been awhile since we heard anyone of his songs. Until tomorrow take care.

Good Morning, Paul. Tk you, glad you enjoyed it. And I thought I used a song of Mr Como’s not long ago. I could be wrong. If I have time, I’ll take a look. Take care. 🙌🏻🙋🏻♀️

Gosh I’m in a post Cmas slump, having been stumped again by the uprooted cartoon solution! Yikes! Chuck.

Easy one today, but I not only wasn’t in the STANDS for the blind guess, I wasn’t in the STADIUM. I therefore KICKED a FIELD GOAL instead of a making a TOUCHDOWN. Tomorrow I’ll RUN a little faster and PASS the GOAL for a big SCORE.

Couldn’t get the answer because I had the first word as GROUD which is a word that has to do with mathematics. I saw uprooted but said to my self, it couldn’t be because I needed an extra “o”. This was frustrating because I had what I thought was the correct first word but in fact there are two words, groud and gourd with the same five letters.

I’m not sure how long you’ve been doing the Jumble, but it’s a known fact that David has said on numerous occasions that he doesn’t use foreign words, and/or words specifically pertaining to Math, Medicine, etc. He’s also made a note of stating that he only uses words that are found in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, which is his “Bible”….and the word GROUD is not…So…🤷🏻♀️ https://tinyurl.com/28t2ddmc
