      🛋️There’s no way he would SHRINK from this, ACIDIC comes to mind,
      Need BATTEN down the hatches…now that Martin’s come to find…
      His trusty old recliner, a one-time STUDIO gem,
      Is lying at the curb…and no FACADE’s put on by them…
      By them, his wife and son is meant, and anger’s seeing GROWTH,
      Martin is just fit to be tied…he’s def upset with both…
      Here’s hoping they convince him it’s the best new chair around…
      ‘Cause right now there’s no way at all he’ll TAKE IT SITTING DOWN!🛋️

      I’m sure today’s solve SITS right with you all. With “replaced” and “recliner” (= SIT DOWN) in our question, and “don’t get upset” and “didn’t want” ( =TAKE IT”) in our dialogue, this puzzle? As EASY as our guy Martin’s CHAIR…

      And why Martin? This puzzle brought me back to the 2001 episode of Frasier, “Bla-Z-Boy”, https://tinyurl.com/4dfd89jr where we see the demise of Martin’s recliner. https://tinyurl.com/295bfp9h …And as always with the show, it’s blend of comedy and heartfelt reality, strikes a cord…It definitely was one of the best shows of its time…

      Jeff’s💎Gems? The old, battered recliner at the curb, showing its tears, and a hole in its back….And Martin sporting a Detroit Lions cap, and a jersey bearing what looks to be the number 28.

      So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who went through a similar situation when his wife wanted to get rid of his beloved recliner. She complained that it just sat around their living room, looking raggedy and DOING NOTHING as far as their decor went. To which my friend rebutted with the fact that it’s a LAZY BOY…And to hear him tell it, it’s his all time favorite piece of furniture…They GO WAY BACK…🛋️🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️After they made sure to BATTEN down the hatches in the STUDIO, they weren’t going to SHRINK away from the subject at hand, nor TAKE IT SITTING DOWN…no matter how ACIDIC the situation became…so there was no reason to put up a FACADE as far as whether there’d be GROWTH made here today or not…🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️When things would turned ACIDIC, did they SHRINK or was there GROWTH,
    They sat around the STUDIO deciding one or both…
    The BATTEN that they planned to use for the FACADE’s new crown?
    Was still up for debate and they’d not TAKE IT SITTING DOWN…🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

    Be it couch or recliner…what not…
    Comes the end of the day,
    All we want is to lay…

    That his chair sits curbside and “Mais oui”…
    It’s a terrible sight,
    And he’s geared up to fight…
    But his wife’s saying…”Please, let it be”….🤷🏻‍♀️

    🛋️And his son tells him,”Dad, don’t feel dissed,
    Trust me, you’ll find that you won’t be pissed….
    There’s massage that’s built in, 
    So before you begin…
    …Complaining, see what you have missed”…🛋️

    👍🏻Here’s to hoping Martin loves this chair,
    And the old one tossed out? He won’t care…
    For this state of the art,

  5. Wow ! 17 letters , and 4 words with all the A’s and T’s made my brain disco -dance ! But my Suzie helped me and all of a sudden she said TAKE IT SITTING DOWN ! And that was it ! We were dancing ! We got all the anagrams and the jumble solve for a Sunday Funday !!!! This is part A of my comment , part B will be soon !

  7. Somehow the answer popped right into my brain for a blind solve. Really happy about that, as it seems like they come far fewer times these days, but I don’t keep statistics. Anyway, anagrams followed for a nice Sunday puzzle. Hope you feel better, but maybe you should have slept a little longer than 03:31, and don’t push yourself too much over the holidays !!   13. Glad to know you’re feeling a bit better Angela! The grey weather doesn’t help, if that’s what you’re experiencing in NYC. Here, in SW Ont it’s a very wet grey day, with torrential rain in places.

  15. Since I started Jumbling again, I pull it up on my desk top computer and the letters are so much bigger than the newspaper. It seems to make the anagrams easier to unscramble. I am showing real GROWTH and no longer have that ACIDIC feeling nor do I SHRINK from the task and sulk in my STUDIO or BATTEN down the hatches or have a grim FACADE.

    I really only get the opportunity to Jumble from Sunday to Wednesday but it feels so good. Hope you’re all well soon, Angela!

  17. Good afternoon . I started jumble after getting back from church and then had to stop to meet up with my children and when I got back I resumed but had a devil of a time on two words. When I got it down to one I looked at the cartoon and came up with what I thought was the blind solve. I realized I needed two I I to complete it which I was able to come up with ACIDIC. Glad you came back Angela after a little break. Enjoyed your song choice. Until tomorrow take care.
