Good Morning, Everyone…🌲SHERMAN ON THE MOUNT🌲
🎶 From here we can SEE THE MOON…Where the owl sleeps at noon…From here we can feel the world….FAR BELOW watch it unfurl…SEQUOIA, SEQUOIA…🎶 “Sequoia” – Lennie Gallant 2018 https://tinyurl.com/2s3dwry9
🌲Our woman has no words right now, she’s so out of her GOURD,
The majesty of this old tree has her completely floored…
To think it one day did EMERGE from just a tiny seed,
To reach the height that it is now…amazing, yes, indeed…
(And here’s where MUNCH becomes the word today that I eschew,
I tried to make it fit …but bit off more than I could chew)…
Our couple? Their minds do TUSSLE and we hear them discuss..
While straining to look up at it… how it’s just “TREE-MENDOUS”! 🌲
So this was odd…Even though we’ve seen TUSSLE many times before, 3 of the Early Birds WRESTLED with it. “SuBtle” was heard…And I was like..”How could that “B”…Then EMERGE reared its head…And 2 of them voiced “MeRgeR”…And again I was like…”R you sure you want to go with that”? …It’s funny what the eye can see sometimes…and there wasn’t an “I” to be seen in either! Just an odd occurrence…two words that the Early Birds didn’t come UP with at a glance. Definitely not the HEIGHT point of their night!
Anyway…Today we find ourselves in Sequoia National Park https://tinyurl.com/2vjbr7z8 in Tulare County, California. Home to General Sherman https://tinyurl.com/bdhbpbab the largest currently living TREE…And at “275 feet, with a trunk measuring 36 feet in diameter”, as stated in our question, and our dialogue offering UP “Enormous” and “Describe”…plus the always tell-tale, added benefit of those quotation marks…GENERALly speaking, I think HUGE all WOOD ASCENT to the fact that this one’s an easy, breezy solve to end our week….The Sequoia is “TREE-MENDOUS”! https://tinyurl.com/59xramav
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I was going to LEAF you with a little story about two Sequoias who had such great chemisTREE and fell in love…but it’s kind of aCORN-y one, and such a TALL tale, that I don’t think you’d ROOT for it…So instead of going out on a LIMB and maybe looking like a SAP…I think I’ll just go out on a HEIGHT note…and simply LOG off…🌲🙋🏻♀️
As I said in my previous comment I also ‘wrestled’ with the tussle anagram, at least I was in good company.
Angela,
Sequoia National Park is in Tulare County, not Tulane.
👍🏻 Tk you, Dennis. 🌲🙋🏻♀️

🐿️ The children thought it was TREMENDOUS when they saw the two squirrels EMERGE from behind the bush, one trying to MUNCH on a large piece of GOURD and TUSSLE with the other at the same time…🐿️
🥒He hoped this year he would EMERGE as the King of the Crop,
He raised a GOURD so off the charts, he doubted it be topped…
There usually was a TUSSLE over who’d be crowned the King,
All in good fun of course, but still…the win was everything
A nervous MUNCH on a toothpick…as he told his friend Gus…
“If I take home the prize today? Just one word…TREMENDOUS”! 🥒

After I got all the anagrams , the jumble was up a tree ! I got Monster and Trees , but couldn’t put it together ! I wanted to finish the week with another week of five in a row , but I felt a TREE-MENDOUS blank ! But oh well , there’s always tomorrow, and I’ll be on the mark to go and cap the week ! I’m just a little disappointed I couldn’t see it ! We’ll everyone have a great Friday and get ready for Saturday !!!!!!
It was another good day in Jumble-land as I blind-solved again for TGIF. Figured first puzzle word was TREE, and the rest came in a flash of light !! Those flashes of light are important in this game, for sure. Anagrams were fairly easy, too…so it was a delightful start of the day. Angela gets kudos for using so many tree-mendous puns in her post….and I am still waiting for the joke about the two sequoias. Have a great Friday, y’all.
😂 Tks, Terry! 🌲🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. Another great day for me. After putting breakfast aside the words came fairly quick and then I sort of had a blind solve. Unable to come up with something at first I started to put the letters down and then realized that the answer was in quotations which I then blurted out the answer. Checking the letters prove conclusive. Another smile Angie with your song video and puns. I’m in awe of so many beautiful gifts that God has given us. Until tomorrow take care.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. 🌲🙋🏻♀️
The ‘tussle’ anagram gave me a tussle, than the multi lettered cartoon puzzle stumped me as usual. Not a Jumble solving Friday. Be that as it may, I wish you all a Happy Friday!
This tree soars up from the ground
It’s the tallest that’s ever been found
If you keep looking up
And up….. and up…..
The height of it’s sure to astound
But it’s not just what goes up from the ground
Its breadth is also renowned
It’s as wide as a dwelling
And there’s simply no telling
If it’s reached its outer bounds,
I had no problems with the words. The answer wasn’t obvious, so it took a bit to find the answer.
I’ve been to Sequoia several times, most recently in the fall of 2019 when it unexpectedly snowed. I love our National Parks, and just got back from visiting three in the upper Midwest.
Cute puzzle this morning. General Sherman is indeed a sight to behold. The tree was threatened by those awful fires we had in 2021. They wrapped his trunk in aluminum and he was not harmed. 🌲. Happy Friday all!
Thanks Betty for the information. I didn’t know they did that. It’s a magnificent sight. Take care.
Enjoyed today’s challenge. I tussled with tussle, but did not miss tree-mendous since it’s hard to miss the magnificence of General Sherman!
