  1. Good Morning, Everyone 🍭 SUGAR RUSH? 🍭

    🎶 LOLLIPOP, LOLLIPOP…Oh lolli lolli lolli, lollipop, lollipop…🎶…”Lollipop” – The Chordettes 1958 https://tinyurl.com/f7w283mf

🍭The sign it reads “B🍭g L🍭ll🍭es”, and with just a glance you’ll tell,
They’re huge and look so SILKY smooth…these candied, hardened gels…
The shopkeeper did SPRUCE things up, the place looks really nice,
And walking in one’d be hard pressed to not look at things twice…
Our two young girls though they can’t wait to enjoy what they’ve bought,
Excitement THINLY hidden..but their change…no afterthought?
The woman calls…”Don’t you want this?…(And here TWILL just won’t do)…
But our girls feel no time to waste…and answer..”It’s for you”…
The woman smiles and nods her head saying…”If you see fit,
    Ok then”…cause it’s obvious with them it’s LICKETY-SPLIT! 🍭

So…Today, a neighborhood candy shop. And two little girls, the CARB-DASH-ian Sisters, Katherine, Kit-Kat for short, and Kandie, in such a rush to finish their giant lollipops that they’re willing to foreGO their change…And I’m looking for a lesson here that might come in CANDY someday…feeling I’m SUCROSE…yet so far…Our girls are LICKING lollipops, while in such a rush to SPLIT…(leave)…So the solve I got LICKETY-SPLIThttps://tinyurl.com/3n4p2rhe …but the reasoning?…I’m trying to get it to STICK…And you know me, I’m such a SUCKER when it comes to figuring these things out…But I’m just too SUCKERed, I mean tuckered out …https://tinyurl.com/uumbyeme to COIN a phrase, and I can’t seem to WRAP my head aROUND it, so I guess I need not take it so seriously…and just let it DOUGH…It’s not that much MONEY anyway…and I’ve no need to be the LOLLI-COP here today…

Jeff’s Gems? The daisy on Kandie’s shirt…a SWEET something he always associates with little girls…and it couldn’t BEE any cuter…And amidst the various types of candy, there’s Jumble chocolate bars in the showcase…I swear, with all the franchises these guys have GOING, they’re definitely living the SWEET life…

And, once again, TONGUE in cheek…that’s my take on all this today….No LOLLY-gagging… https://tinyurl.com/3pcfwx32 …and I’ll just keep my CANDIED, I mean candid opinions to myself…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. LICKETY-SPLIT…Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe..And I had a lollipop joke to leave you with, but it‘s slipped my mind… even though it was right on the tip of my tongue…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. …AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of August 17th, 2017. https://tinyurl.com/48jywvrn “In 1908, George Smith, claiming he invented the modern-style lollipop, sold them”…LICKETY-SPLIT! …And if you look closely, in the showcase, at right…a boxed puzzle. A Premium Jumble Puzzle…As I mentioned earlier…there’s just no end to these franchises! 😂 🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 👗 With Summer fast approaching, she was looking to SPRUCE up her wardrobe LICKETY-SPLIT, so she began separating THINLY made SILKY fabrics from TWILL and wool…👗

🤷🏻‍♀️She tried her hand at poetry, used TWILL to test it out,
It sounded good…she even researched how it came about…
The thoughts in her head SILKY-smooth, and SPRUCE them up she would,
She had a THINLY veiled fret though that they might not be good
But try she would if nothing else to prove she had true grit…
So she got down to business…making rhymes LICKETY-SPLIT! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Four days in a row of jumble solves and anagrams , wow ! Today is a thirsty-Thursday to celebrate another fun and entertaining jumble ! To have a giant lollipop , you definitely want to dive right into it LICKETY SPLIT ! Your song Angela was the first one that came to me when I did the jumble ! Very appropriate ! So this thirsty-Thursday quenched my thirst for a fun jumble ! Everyone have a great day !!!!!!!

  5. Here goes again…Word Press didn’t take my first post. It’s nice when the Jumble authors throw out an easy puzzle, for a blind solve. And with the anagrams solved, it was a nice Jumble Thursday. Angela…just love those Chordettes !!

  6. Good morning. A continuation of yesterday. The words were easy for me and when I got to the cartoon answer after looking at it for about a minute the answer just popped into my head. You gave me a big smile with your song choice Angela and your post. Thank you. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. YW…Love when you smile…And thank you…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Ruth…I know it as the title of Michelle Obama’s latest book, but aside from that, it’s not a phrase I’m familiar with on a personal level. I guess it might mean that there’s the hope of goodness, of light, in all of us…🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. Thinly gave me reason to pause but getting past that the cartoon was a quick virtual blind solve.

  8. Answers popped right into my head this morning. Love the Chordettes. Happy Thursday all! 🍭

  9. Good fun solve today, got them all correct. Was curious about the origin of the winning phrase, ‘Lickety-split”:
First attested about 1860, in the US, as a fanciful alteration of lick and the verb split. Lick appears to have something to do with animals made to go faster by means of a “lick” of a whip, although it may have also originated due to a preference for rapid licking (the “quick lick”).
From Wiktionary: ‘lickety: very fast alteration of lick fast (dialectal) split”.
From American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition
