  1.  Good Morning, Everyone…🚪OPEN TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES🚪

🎶 Now we’re up in the big leagues, gettin’ our turn at bat…As long as we live, it’s you and me, baby…There ain’t nothin’ wrong with that…Well we’re MOVIN’ON UP…🎶 “Movin’ On Up” – Ja’net Dubois 1975  https://tinyurl.com/ymrmyyj9

🚪The new doorman at “The Jumble” has easily fit in,
He has that SUPERB attitude…accompanied by his grin…
Helps tenants with a BURLAP bag, those QUEASY get his aid,
A Mother with an INFANT…his kindness is displayed…
He gets to INHALE fresh air…he’s outside now and then,
He’s happy with the new place…he’s definitely feeling zen…
He used to work at MEADOW Arms…but there he had some doubts…
But here he’s settled nicely and he’ll LEARN THE INS AND OUTS…🚪

This one is so easy, breezy, we can close the DOOR on it in a flash…

So..Today…”The Jumble” located at …where else but “1954” Fifth Avenue. And we meet Carlton, the Doorman… https://tinyurl.com/28yrz6ck  who unbeknownst to the tenants here, had not fared all that well at his previous position…But after finding himself lying DOORmant, he searched for a new opportunity, and as another DOOR OPENed…Carlton’s determined to CLOSE out that past chapter…And as we can tell by our dialogue, as he greets the tenants, Ms Kent coming IN and Mr Arnold going OUT… it didn’t take him long to…LEARN THE INS AND OUTS https://tinyurl.com/mrxtytut of the new building…A classic case of “Movin’ On Up”…

Jeff’s💎Gems? The elevator at back…The aforementioned “1954” in homage to the year the Jumble came OUT…and our Mr Arnold, who may very well be another homage…this one to Mr Henri Arnold, https://tinyurl.com/3nhs57sf who proceeded Jeff as the Jumble’s cartoonist…teaching him the INS AND OUTS, and leaving him that Signature Sinking Sailboat that we’ve all come to love. As for Ms Kent? I’ve no clue…but knowing Jeff, I doubt he just chose the name as a CLARK…I mean a lark…Who knows…I really can’t DRAW any conclusions…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who recently applied for a job as a doorman but wasn’t hired due to lack of experience. He was surprised though…since he thought it was an ENTRY LEVEL position…🚪🙋🏻‍♀️

    …And a Shout Out🗣️ to David…all new anagrams today!

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️Anxious to LEARN THE INS AND OUTS of his SUPERB new area, he stood with the INFANT in the MEADOW, hoping to INHALE some fresh air…but for some reason became QUEASY…and reached for the water in his BURLAP bag… 🤷🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♀️She’d been feeling sort of QUEASY, each time she would INHALE,
And wondered if that BURLAP sack was causing her to reel…
She took the INFANT, MEADOW, and laid her on the bed,
Hating not feeling SUPERB…with this spinning in her head
The baby not so happy…and she began to pout…
A new Mother, she’s much concerned to LEARN THE INS AND OUTS…🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. 👍🏻NYC where the rents are steep,
And ones careful to look ‘fore they leap…
    A Doorman is def key,
    For the tenants to be…
    Comfortable under his keep…👍🏻

🚪Doors are opened and they are closed,
And the Doorman is ever composed…
    Always asks you what’s new,
    Carries packages too,
    Has umbrellas…so you’re not exposed…🚪

☂️…To bad weather as you venture out,
He assures that you won’t go without…
    Courtesy is a must,
    And a Doorman you trust…
Will cater to you…there’s no doubt…☂️

👍🏻And our Carlton that we see today,
Greets his tenants in his charming way…
    Always wishing the best,
    And they all will attest…
    Perfect manners…always on display…👍🏻

🧢 So a tip of the cap to these men,
Who know all of the who, what and when…
    They’re a NY mainstay,
    As they brighten each day…
And each ‘morrow they’ll do it again… 🧢

  5. Wow ! What a Sunday Funday ! Sundays are usually a little hard with the anagrams and jumble ! But today all the anagrams came to me , except I had some trouble with QUEASY ! Now the jumble with 4 words was interesting , but like you said in your post Angela , the woman coming in , and the man going out , gave me a clue , and he was new to LEARN the INS AND OUTS ! I was so pleased for a Sunday , and your song , Angela , was a very cool memory of the Jeffersons TV show , I watched all the time ! I loved it and your post was really complete ! So thank you and everyone have a good Sunday Funday !!!!!

  6. Nice Sunday puzzle…Was a little perplexed on the first word, a past tense verb for sure, so no blind solve. Anyway, pretty easy anagrams led the way to the solve. Cute song to go with it, too. Enjoy your Sunday Funday. Terry

  7. The doorman has got to be slick

Make sure his memory ne’er plays a trick

    So that he never erases

    The names or the faces

So the name to the face he’ll affix!

He doesn’t want to make a faux pas

    Have the residents say “Aha

    You’ve forgotten my name

    What a terrible shame

Might be time to say ta-ta”

  8. Good morning. Today was a bad day for trying jumble. I got one word before running out this morning and when I got back looking at the words weren’t much better until finally it started to click and I was able to get all but the last word. I had the same problem with the cartoon answer so I gave up. Got to admit the clues were there in the cartoon but I didn’t catch on. Enjoyed your song choice Angela. That was an entertaining show. Until tomorrow take care
