She deviated from FORMAT to chase ‘way the ennui…
Our girl, I’ll call her MEADOW, still bummed by winter’s blues,
Longed for the ICING to be gone…and spring to start anew…
So she connected watches, a STUNT, if truth be told,
She alternated elements…some silver and some gold
But Jamie, (he’s her mentor) said, “I doubt we’d make a dime…
It’s different, but I think it really was a “WAIST” OF TIME”…⌚️
I guess she thought she might BELT it out of the park with this one…but it looks like she never got past the STRIKE zone…
So…Today, we CLOCK in at ”A TIME FOR PIECE”, a Watchmaker’s business. And we see the original owner, Jamie CLOCKS, and his protégé, Meadow LARK. And as we can see, she lives up to her name. When Jamie first took her on as an apprentice, he did notice that from TIME to TIME she’d CHIME in with some wild ideas, and get all WOUND up about them…going off on a Lark, https://tinyurl.com/weptaz5d But still, he had great faith that she’d become a great watchmaker in TIME…and he has WATCHed her live up to her potenDIAL. But someTIMES he wonders if her potenDIAL might be RUNNING just a little bit SLOW. A belt made of watches? I guess you gotta HAND it to her, she is creative…but let’s FACE facts here…there’s a TIME and a place for everything…but watches as PIECES of clothing? Jamie just can’t WRAP his head aROUND this one…even after a SECOND look. So even though he’s not TICKed off with her, for a MINUTE there he’s wondering if she’s got a SCREW loose, because he knows HANDS down, this is one CUCKOO idea…And there’s no way he can jump on the BANDwagon with this one…So, in his usual respectful STYLE, he has to tell her, “I’m not sure HOUR customers are going to buy something like that…it’s really not GIRTH the money”…Just imagine if a person loses weight, and CLOCKS in a good ten pounds less…what happens then? They’d be FIT to be TIED…No, despite all the HOURS Meadow must have put into this thing, killing TIME ‘cause she was bored, they’d definitely go BELLY up trying to sell it..and it’s a cINCH this belt is a dog…a real WATCH dog…The bottom line?…It was simply a …”WAIST” OF TIME… https://tinyurl.com/tfcvvud8 …And if the words “WATCHmaker” = TIME and “BELT” = WAIST in our question, combined with the string of watches in Meadow’s hands, not to mention those quotation marks, letting you know you’d be looking for a SECOND spelling of a word, weren’t CRYSTAL clear enough, and didn’t give this solve up in a MINUTE’s TIME? …Well, chances are, like Meadow…it might be TIME for you to and STOP and quell the supposes…Could be you’re possibly just not GEARed for this sort of thing…

This week is starting off very well ! I got all the anagrams ! I had a little mind juggle on FORMAT , but after I thought a little longer , it came to me ! Now the jumble was as easy as I’ve had ! When you’re talking watches that tell time and belts that go around your waist ! The jumble was not a WAIST OF TIME , but a quick solve ! I loved it I’m gonna treat myself to some very tasty tacos ! Bring on a no hump Wednesday and let’s keep these smooth jumbles going !!!!!

Yep…it was another lickedy-split day at the Jumble. My first thought after reading about watches on a belt, was WAIST….and of course, TIME is usually in there somewhere. Anagrams fell into place nicely….so a great start to Taco Tuesday. Going out to the golf course to help set up a tournament…and am sure there will be a taco or two in my future. Today’s Jumble about a belt of watches reminds me that long ago, my husband made me a leather belt with pennies carefully overlapped all around. It was so carefully and beautifully made, one of a kind. I still treasure it, even though it doesn’t fit anymore.
