  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🤢WHEN YOU NEED KELP FOR SHORE!🤢

🎶 I’m sittin’ on the DOCK OF THE BAY…Watching the tide roll away…🎶 “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” – Otis Redding 1968  https://tinyurl.com/4wz8n4v8 *

🤢Alicia and her husband, James…they bought themselves a boat,

Took CHARGE of their retirement…and on the sea they’d float…

The romance didn’t GUTTER from their lives now that they’re free,

And they have time for leisure…no responsibility…

No plans AFOOT that can’t be changed…AHEAD is where they look,

To spend some time upon the boat they bought by hook or crook

And so they set out for a sail…thought their day was a lock…

Until Alicia’s heard to say…”I need…GET TO THE “DOC”! …🤢

Poor Alicia…she needs the DOCK…and the “DOC”…Guess that purchase of their boat wasn’t the best SAIL they invested in…

So…Today…The weekend. Leisure time for many….And our couple, James STEWARD and his wife, Alicia SEAverstone. And a quick end to their TIDALic..I mean idyllic day on the water. With Alicia becoming seasick…they’ve no choice but to GET TO THE “DOC”…who’s SEAn waiting on the DOCK with her First Aid kit…And between that, our question giving us, “headed BACK”, our dialogue…”SomeONE” should look at me” and “waiting”, and those tell-tale quotation marks? DIZZY SEA where we’re going here?…It makes this need for a “doc”tor an easy, breezy pun for our return to the DOCk… https://tinyurl.com/yv77bukm

Jeff’s💎Gem?…The absence of the Sinking Sailboat…Seems he FLIP-flopped on us…Hmm…I wonder if some might look at that as a SICK joke…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who had to give up sailing…Seems his seasickness kept coming in WAVES…and he was just tired of GOING WITH THE FLOW…🤢🙋🏻‍♀️

    * And, Paul…this one’s for you…

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️ After the call to quickly GET TO THE DOCK, he feared that with all the new changes AFOOT he’d now fail to get AHEAD with the GUTTER project he was put in CHARGE of…🤦🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️ The plans already were AFOOT, he’d need to get AHEAD,
The purchase of the GUTTER guards thank God were put to bed…
He had to CHARGE more money to his card…his hands were tied,
But right now he must help them out…he knows how hard they’ve tried
Yes, they do need him badly, for he has become their rock…
So hustling for the ferry…he needs to GET TO THE DOCK…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. 🚤 It’s a beautiful day and you’re free,
And you’re looking to ward off ennui…
    Decide sailing’s a thought,
Since that small boat you bought…
So you pack up and head to the sea…🚤

👫🏻Just the two of you off for the day,
    And a few hours you’ll while away…
    Things are going quite well,
    There’s no strong water’s swell…
And so far you’re def feeling okay…👫🏻

🤦🏻‍♀️You set out on the water…you’re fine,
With the sun and the scent of the brine…
And you sail for a bit,
    But then nausea hits…
And your spirit begins to decline…🤷🏻‍♀️

🤷🏻‍♀️So you try to put on a good face,
But soon realize you’re not up to pace….
And you need to get back,
    Feeling air’s what you lack…
As the side of the boat you embrace…🤦🏻‍♀️

🤢Here’s to hoping Alicia stays strong,
    Doctor’s waiting…first aid bag along…
    Seasickness…yes, it’s real…
    It’ll def make you heel…
Have you singing that water’s swan song!🤢

  5. Wow ! This one did not cap the week , Saturday for me ! All of the anagrams were right there ! But the jumble , I was looking for related words ! I did get GET , but what was left was three short lettered words that threw me off ! I was looking for doctor or sick , and it just threw me off ! When I saw the solution , l was shaking my head and rolling my eyes , thinking I should’ve thought harder and not rushed it ! Well , I’ll continue to learn my lesson , but what usually heals it , is your songs Angela , with your posts of very informative and descriptive analysis of the jumble ! Loved your Otis Redding song ! I sing it all the time ! Thanks for your fun and entertaining posts ! Hope everyone has a nice weekend !!!!

  6. Found today’s Saturday puzzle an easy blind solve, given that she was going to see a DOC, and sailing back to the DOCK…and anagrams followed quickly. Good song choice, too, Angela. It was a very nice start for Saturday’s puzzles. Thanks. Terry

  7. Good morning. First off thank you Angela. I saw you comment to me and it gave me a huge smile. You grabbed the brass ring with todays perfect song choice. No one sings that song better than Otis Redding. Many thanks. Todays jumble was easy as the morning sunrise. But not a complete blind solve. Needed the letters to complete it. Enjoyed your post and until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. YVW! I remember you saying years ago how much you liked the song. It is a good one…Tk you, and take care. ❤️🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Easy blind solve for me today as the Doc was waiting on the Dock for her. That was fun and, As Always, Angela, You are such a creative writer. I enjoy and look forward to reading your post every day. Jeff’s💎Gem?…The absence of the Sinking Sailboat…Seems he FLIP-flopped on us…Hmm…I wonder if some might look at that as a SICK joke…

I was looking for the sinking sailboat before I read your post. That’s funny.

    Thanks

    Stan

    • Tk you very much, Stan. It’s very kind of you to say…And Jeff’s💎Gem? LOL! 🤢🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. The sail started bright and breezy

This relaxing day would be easy

    But they turned round quick

    She was feeling sick

With a tummy that was really queasy!

The worst case of seasickness I have ever seen was on the short Calais to Dover Channel crossing, on a packed ferry, during a wild storm, with passengers hanging over the railings.

  10. An amazingly easy jumble despite the plethora of letters and 3 letter words in the cartoon, which usually stump me but not today, wishing Angela and all of you a great weekend ! Chuck.

  11. Something is AFOOT. CHARGE AHEAD to the GUTTER. And then GET TO THE DOC.

    Easy today.

  12. Some days I don’t know if I “ahead or afoot” but not today. Clever puzzle and easy solve. Happy Saturday all! 🙂‍↕️ 🦶Betty

    • I’m sorry, but I’m not following you at all. The puzzle answers, along with this commentary, are posted every day at 12 midnight…🤷🏻‍♀️
