  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 👫🏻A LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN 👫🏻

    🎶 MATCHmaker, MATCHmaker…make me a MATCH…🎶…”Matchmaker” 1964  https://tinyurl.com/y55frpvv

👫🏻Althea Gibson ruled the court, and so did Arthur Ashe,

They’d move around with such panache…a dart, a leap…a dash,

Though years did separate them, both EXPERT at their game,

Imagine all the MAYHEM if the card held both their names…

We wouldn’t see a SHADOW cast, and quiet as a CHURCH,

We’d closely watch the two of them…as they did lunge and lurch…

A CONVOY’s worth of fans would pay to see them both appear,

The courts ABLAZE when they would play…the crowds they did endear

Both winners all around these two…credit to their profession…

And had this ever come about? Def a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!👫🏻

And God only knows what a SET up that would have been…

Today…The Pearly Gates Stadium…and a timely puzzle for sure. With the US Open https://tinyurl.com/5n79z6hk being played at NY’s Arthur Ashe Stadium, https://tinyurl.com/yc7r9pxx it definitely fits the bill…Althea Gibson,https://tinyurl.com/4db89c9x and Arthur Ashe, https://tinyurl.com/bza35ja7 two legends of tennis, grace our pages…So let’s get the ball rolling…

…In answer to our question today? Given “afterlife”, = HEAVEN, and seeing our stars discussing a MATCH? You’d be DEAD in the water if you missed this SHOT…Playing in the afterlife? It was a…MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN https://tinyurl.com/33b3dshs = “Perfect”…just as Mr Ashe says….

And Jeff’s💎Gems? Aside from the “Pearly Gates”, he’s given us a choir of Angels cheering them on, with the clouds serving as stands…And above it all…against the celestial backdrop, with what looks to be the US Open symbol at right…the Ultimate Chair Umpire Himself, GODding it all…

So…There you have it Folks…Game, set…MATCH. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, an avid tennis player. His fiancée, AnNETte, who he met in the MIDDLE OF A TENNIS COURT, left him, claiming their COURTship was going on way too long without him making a commitment, that he had a RACQUET going…and she felt LOVE just meant NOTHING to him. And although we felt sorry for him, we all had to agree that he could be obnoxious at times, with all his BACK-HANDED compliments and the like. Truth is, he just has too big an ego…swearing that he has no FAULTS…Anyway, AGASSI right through him…he’s no MATCH for me…and it was never up to me to put any FEDERER his cap….His whole act? Just NADAL it was cracked up to be…👫🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

…And another Shout Out 🗣️to David…all new anagrams again today…🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️MAYHEM broke out when the EXPERT from CHURCH, who was put in charge of the CONVOY, set ABLAZE the jacket sleeve of his second in command…needless to say, without a SHADOW of a doubt, it was no MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN…🤦🏻‍♂️

⛪️The happenings at CHURCH had changed…the CONVOY’s coming in,
An EXPERT rearranged things…like what time they would begin….
“ABLAZE” awards were postponed…and SHADOW puppets too,
They’d need to be rescheduled…lest MAYHEM might ensue…
They’re hoping for a good turnout…they’ll be there til eleven….
They’re going with the catchy name of “(A)MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN”! ⛪️

  4. 👫🏻Ashe and Gibson, we know them quite well,
And the stories are many to tell…
    Though they never did meet,
    On a court to compete…
If they did…how those tickets would sell…👫🏻

👍🏻Breaking barriers was what they did,
Putting their names high up on the grid…
    Gained themselves quite the fame,
At the top of their game…
    Popularity never did skid…👍🏻

🎾 Years kept them apart on the court,
Had they played…I’m sure we can report…
That it would have been grand,
    People packed in the stands…
To see how they mastered the sport…🎾

🏆So today we see what might have been,
Had these two ever taken that spin…
It’d be hard to take sides,
    With that net that divides…
You’d truly want both for the win…🏆

🍷Here’s a toast to these two wondrous souls,
Both determined to achieve their goals…
    And despite the years passed,
    Memories they still last…
Heaven knows they’ve both broken the mold…🍷

  5. A clean sweep of all even the multi worded cartoon which I usually don’t get on a Sunday. Chuck.

    • I commented earlier on my jumble success, then checked again this morning looking for the kids Jumble and you didn’t disappoint, thanks for sharing it. As a former math professor, it was a clever math related jumble. Chuck.
