👨🏻✈️AWAKEN at the crack of dawn…not meant to just IMPLY, *
You’ll hear the SWISH of rushing ‘round…snap to it…do or die…
(I’ll leave HYBRID to sit this out…today it gains no fame)…
It’s all about the General…who’s called BY HIS “SIR”-NAME!👨🏻✈️
Ok…If you’re paying close enough ATTENTION, you’ll have this one UP and running in the blink of an eye…1- because it’s easy, breezy…and 2- that bell went off the moment I saw our puzzle…because we’ve been here before…https://tinyurl.com/4nm2trwf
So…Today…Morning at Camp WORDSworth…and four enlistees seen saluting the General. And while the General keeps his reply PRIVATE, it’s the simple four word dialogue, combined with those ever so tell-tale giveaway quotation marks, that wraps this one up. The General is being greeted as Smith…his SURNAME… https://tinyurl.com/456v3n8t and military officers are always addressed as “SIR”…Our clever play-on-words here today? Everyone called the General…BY HIS “SIR”-NAME…And there’s no MAJOR effort or CAMOUFLAGING this one…Here’s a SALUTE to ending the week still RANKing high!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who while as a trainee serving in the Army was approached by his grumbling drill Sergeant, who said…”I didn’t see you at camouflage training this morning, Private”. “Thank you very much”, my friend replied…Give it a minute…👨🏻✈️🙋🏻♀️
🚗 While shopping for a HYBRID model, the car salesman addressed him BY HIS SURNAME…”Mr SWISH, it’s wise to AWAKEN to the benefits of our new line…not that I mean to IMPLY that you haven’t probably already done the research”…🚗
📙The script it was a HYBRID of the film and the stage play, He did a quick SWISH through it all…hoping it’d make his day.. It did AWAKEN him a bit, because it did IMPLY, That much thought was put into it…the author did comply… …To what they all had asked of him…it definitely fit the frame… He turned and faced the author…greeting him BY HIS SURNAME…📙
☀️Yes, you wake right at the crack of dawn, Doing your best to:stifle a yawn… And you straighten your cot, Meager bedding the lot… Then you line up outside every morn…☀️
⏰ Barracks emptied all done with precision, Every Private on his or her mission… No excuse to be late, And you stand ramrod straight… As you all elbow into position…⏰
⬆️ In the Army it’s all about rank, You work up or you see yourself tank… Discipline is the key, Goes from I now to we… And you soon learn to fill in the blanks…⬆️
🤷🏻♂️There’s the training and marching and mess, And you often times may feel duress… But it builds character, Be it with him or her… And the object is to forward press…🤷🏻♂️
👍🏻So today this unit we do see, With four Privates ready 1-2-3… Greeting General Smith, Respect definitely the pith… And they all have it down to a T…👍🏻

Good morning. Easy breezy from the words to the cartoon with even a blind solve. Perfect song choice Angela. Whenever it’s on the car radio I’m always singing along with it. Reminds me of times when life was simpler and you hung out with your group of friends. Thanks also for the extras, enjoyable read. Until tomorrow take care.

Good Morning, Paul. YW…And thank you. Take care.👨🏻✈️🙋🏻♀️

This Jumble seems to have a hidden meaning for the world as if one ignores spaces, one gets BANISH MISERY.

Not a blind solve for me today but, after breezing through the anagrams, it was right there for me. Thanks for the link to Don and Juan, What’s your name. Just like Paul said, I’m singing along when I hear it on the radio ! Sho Be Do Bah Bah Dah. Have a great weekend everybody.
Thanks

I wasn’t sure of the spelling of hybrid, but that didn’t affect the letters for the cartoon solution, which I was able to solve despite the multitude of letters. On a personal note today is our 55th wedding anniversary, a shoutout to my wife for the 55 years of wedded bliss! Chuck.

Congratulations to you both, Professor! 🥂🍾🙋🏻♀️

The phrase took a few minutes longer as I wrote “army” down first. Good puzzle and glad it didn’t take me longer. I first read my childhood hometown newspaper, do the jumble, read the comics then the local news, all in the early morning hopefully before the family wakes up. I’m a creature of routine and completing all of these in my “quiet time,” with just the dog for company always makes for a great start to the day. Happy Friday!

I often work backwards by knowing the cartoon answer & then finding the words. That can make it harder knowing which letters I need for each word.

It sounds like you don’t read the comments each day, because that’s exactly the way most of us solve the puzzle…🤷🏻♀️
Loading...
No, I haven’t been reading comments. I am glad you shared that with me Angela. My husband would find the words then get the cartoon. He did the entire puzzle in his head.

There’s no right or wrong way to do the Jumble…whatever works! And yes, thousands of us do it all in our heads! Enjoy your night! 🔠🙋🏻♀️

Thank you Angela for your kind comments. I am not in the league with your friends in solving Jumble puzzles. I had mainly gone to the site to vote and sometimes to check my answers. I enjoyed reading what those of you wrote the last few of days. I am not as much a word person as a number one. I enjoy Sudoku as well. Some words stump me & I never get them. It seems like the last ones have been easier, or maybe I am getting better at figuring them out. Have a great day! 😁

YVW, Sylvia. Tk you for commenting. And I’m sure if you continue playing, you’ll find yourself getting better and better at solving the Jumble. As for number puzzles, I share your interest. But after finding Sudoku too “tame”, I now play Kakuro. If you’ve never played, I highly recommend giving it a try. I’m confident you’ll enjoy it. Tk you again for commenting, and I hope you continue to share your thoughts concerning the puzzles. One thing though, in the future it’s wise to not include your last name. With the tens of thousands of visitors to this site on a daily basis, it’s way too public a forum. Take care…and enjoy your night. 🙋🏻♀️
