  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🦁 THE CAT’S KNOW HOW 🦁

🎶 On the old ASSEMBLY LINE, On the old assembly line…Everything is hum-hum-hummin…On the old assembly line…🎶…”On The Old Assembly Line” – Glenn Miller & His Orchestra- featuring Marion Hutton & The Modernaires 1942 https://tinyurl.com/4bm9vuhd

🦁The UNITY a welcome note, they really work so well,

    A group of stalwart felines…no KOALA…you can tell…

After this there’ll be a lunch served, it’s a MUSSEL dish today,

Boss buys them by the BUSHEL…and they’re served all different ways

He treats his workers very well, and things remain just fine…

Smart business move to go with…these well-tuned ASSEMBLY “LIONS”…🦁

It’s been a while, but SAFARI the MANE theme of this puzzle goes, it came to me immediately…We’ve seen this solve, back in 2013…And as I told the Early Birds…they AUTO remember…Bottom line…you either got it ROAR you don’t…

So…Today…The African jungle…and it’s Felines https://tinyurl.com/umrdf2mm …And the owner of a car company who takes great PRIDE in his business. Having decided to follow Detroit’s LION of thinking, he’s set up quite the system…And it’s paying him handsomely…The workers are able to ASSEMBLE a car in no time…IMPALAS, COUGARS, PUMAS, PEUGEOTS…you name ‘em, he’s got ‘em…And thanks to the …ASSEMBLY “LIONS”…. https://tinyurl.com/yc4dp4xf  this business is a ROARING success…And the key here today? “Felines” = LIONS in our question…and those tell-TAIL quotation marks…Plus the cartoon depicting LIONS on an Assembly Line itself didn’t hurt…

Jeff’s💎Gem? The cars are rolling out atop bamboo poles…and another’s seen between the tires…a WHEELy ingenious touch…And we’re seeing 2 male, one donning a headband, the other a visor, and 2 female lions at work…Here’s to Jeff 👍🏻for always championing women…

So…There you have it Folks…Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who swears that he overheard a phone call while employed as an assembly line worker at a car company in Japan. A call was made to a German company offering a substantial amount of money if they could come up with a name for a new car company they were considering…but it was needed by the next day. “DAT SOON,”…the German asked…And the Japanese man said thank you and hung up…🦁🙋🏻‍♀️

    • An interesting Glenn Miller reference. I’m a huge Miller band fan and even play his songs on my accordion, but am not familiar with the song you mentioned. Chuck.

  2. 🦁…AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of April 14th, 2013…”If felines built cars, their factory could feature these”…ASSEMBLY “LIONS” 🦁

  3. 🐨The KOALA Club, in an effort to speedily sort through the last BUSHEL of MUSSEL deliveries, needed UNITY…so decided to form ASSEMBLY LINES…🐨

💪🏻The stuffed KOALA bears arrived, the BUSHEL now in house,
The added work it would call for did cause a few to grouse…
    They’d need the extra MUSSEL…oh, muscle’s what I meant,
And UNITY they had to have…def 100 percent
They split up into groups to start…some eights and some were nines…
Rolled up their sleeves and took a place on the ASSEMBLY LINES…💪🏻

  5. 🔩It’s the nuts and the bolts every day,
On the line Mr Olds put in play…
    Revolutionized work,
    With that much needed twerk…
And it proved to be a great mainstay…🔩

🦁We see lions our cartoon du jour,
Working hard so production can soar…
Got it down to a “T”
Not as one but as we…
All with one loud and collective roar…🦁

🚙 In the jungle we spy quite the scene,
Building cars that will generate green…
    Each one doing their part,
    True meaning…”Lion-heart’…
    Working like a fine-oiled machine…🚙

💪🏻And there’s women and men on the line,
No misogyny here you will find…
    Just like “Riveter Rose”,
    It’s not hard to suppose…
    That together…an ideal design…💪🏻

🦁🚙So the bottom “line” we have today?
    That there’ll always be a better way…
    Whether tourist or not,
You’ll get best off the lot…
And the lion’s share for what you’ll pay…🚙🦁

  6. Had to get over a hump today Wednesday ! The anagrams were there for me , but the jumble took some letter elimination and then letter searching to complete it ! The quotation marks and the felines without saying the obvious lions worked , and with each car in a row brought out the ASSEMBLY LIONS ! It made me think a lot on that connection but I got it and was whooshing it ! Nice song , first time to hear it and your car friend naming the car , was a funny one DAT SOON ! Cute ! Great mid week , over the hump Wednesday ! Have a great day !!!!’

  7. Out of the starting blocks, pretty much knew last word was LIONS, but didn’t catch the LINES reference. Finished up quickly after solving the anagrams, though. Always loved Glenn Miller Orchestra and especially his sidemen like the Modernaires and Tex Beneke. Thanks, too, for the funny DAT SOON joke. All in all, a very pleasurable Hump Day, Angela….Terry

  8. Good morning. The solve came to me as I completed the second anagram. I love starting my mornings by completing the Jumble and then coming here to your post. always puts a smile on my face. Thanks Angela.

Looking forward to tomorrow. ( Dat Soon ? )

    Stan

    • Good Morning, Stan. YW…and thank you. And yes, 😂 Datsun! 🦁🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Even though the lions were an obvious choice for a cartoon solution, I failed to see the obvious answer. As I’ve said before, the added age tally seems to have dimmed my Jumble solving abilities. What say ye, Angela? Chuck.

    • I think you’re probably just not giving yourself enough time to think it out, Professor. The clues are all there…Just takes a little patience…🦁🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Agreed! Just take your time Chuck. No problem if it takes a bit longer and after all, you’re a numbers person, likely looking for an A to B solution right away. Angela and I are letters/words oriented and like to juggle them.

  10. Good morning. Having been away since Sunday (left before I received my paper) I was happy to get back in the groove. No problem with the words but took a little time to come up with the first word on the cartoon. Enjoyed Glenn Miller band and a big grin on how the Japanese got their name for the new car. Until tomorrow take care

    • Good Morning, Paul. I was beginning to worry about you! Tk you…glad I could give you a grin! Take care. 🦁🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. When they come roaring into work

You can be sure they’ve not come to shirk

    Any task on the lion

    No job they’ll declion

They won’t skulk around nor lurk!
