  1. Good Morning, Everyone … 🏈 QUIBBLING RIVALRY! 🏈
    🎶You Gotta Be A Football hero…🎶 …Ben Bernie & The Lads 1933 https://tinyurl.com/h7fe43ps

🏈Jeff’s Alma Mater…Michigan, his team the Wolverines,
He’s rooted for them all these years, and ups and downs he’s seen…
He’s gotten STUNG, the CYCLE shows, the Spartans took some games,
The wins and losses they ADJOIN…Jeff’s mostly seen the fame…
A fan goes in a BUSHEL, a bushel and a peck,
And here we’re seeing Jeff’s rival who’s crowing…”What the heck,
Say what you will but there’s no way you’ll win …you’re just deranged…”
But Jeff decides it’s best now for the whole SUBJECT TO CHANGE…🏈

My song choice today? Yep…definitely pulled a relic out of the vault…but it’s not random. 1-As always I go with the first thing that starts PLAYING in my head. 2- College Football always seems to bring this song to mind…and (most importantly)…3-The rivalry between our two Football teams here today is definitely an old one. So HUDDLE ‘round, Folks…and as long as nothing’s SUBJECT TO CHANGE, I’ll TACKLE this for you, and give you some BACK END, I mean background on today’s puzzle…because it’s definitely not random either…

Ok…In Michigan it’s officially Hate Week. And the Michigan Wolverines are gearing up to host Michigan State’s Spartans under the lights of The Big House at Ann Arbor. But this won’t be any ordinary game…The Michigan-Michigan State rivalry https://tinyurl.com/2p8wv4j2 dates back more than 125 years. Between 1898 and today, the Spartans and the Wolverines have played one another 114 times…and it’s never pretty. But going into Saturday’s game, #115, finds the Wolverines ahead, with the stats coming in at 71-38-5. Not only that, as far as this season goes, Jeff’s Wolverines stand undefeated…7-0, while the Spartans are looking at a 3-4 record…And as of yesterday, the Wolverines are favored at 22+…So it’s a little surprising that Jeff’s bar mate sounds so confident. But Jeff, not looking to argue, might just be trying to BLEACHER…I mean teach a…lesson here. Why argue?…Especially when there’s another SUBJECT they can CHANGE to and beat to death..politics…but I’m not TOUCHing DOWN on that one with a TEN YARD LINE..I mean a ten foot pole…Anyway, the bottom LINE? If Jeff suggesting they talk about SOMETHING ELSE…and our question giving us the word TOPIC hasn’t brought you into the END ZONE with this one…I don’t know what else to tell ya…Because with this one, it’s not SUBJECT TO CHANGE! https://tinyurl.com/37s34r9v

…And both Jeff and his Buddy are seen wearing what’s now collectible garb…Jeff sporting a Wolverine’s vintage Biff Sailor Hat sweatshirt, https://tinyurl.com/mrxdr6tk while his rival wears a sweatshirt depicting the Spartan’s Gruff Sparty https://tinyurl.com/46ef54uk logo. They’re dressed to kill…how apropos…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and here’s to the Wolverines…🍻🏈🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 👖After having gotten STUNG with the last CYCLE of goods, they decided to ADJOIN their sales displays this time, and lower the price of each BUSHEL…hoping that nothing would be SUBJECT TO CHANGE…👖

🚲 The CYCLE rooms they did ADJOIN, so no one would get STUNG,
The last few weeks the overflow found patrons to be hung…
“Looks like a BUSHEL worth of Folks won’t fit into this class”,
The lead instructor heard to say scanning people en masse…
So now they’re hoping things run well with what they’ve rearranged…
    It’s one big class they’re holding…and it’s not SUBJECT TO CHANGE… 🚲

  3. Gotta run soon as I’m working at golf course for Friday morning tournament at 0600. Thought I’d give the Jumble a quick look-see. Managed the anagrams but couldn’t solve the puzzle….if only there was more time !!! Have a great Friday and catch you tomorrow. Wow, Angela…that song goes way back, huh ??

  4. Good morning. Perhaps my choice of breakfast, no cereal with blueberries but a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant deadened my brain this morning. I was unable to get Adjoin and when it came time for the cartoon answer I gave up and went for the answer. Oh well, I had a good run. You really came up with a gem Angela. I enjoyed the song and all you posted. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it all….And if It’s any consolation, you definitely had a win with that breakfast! 👏🏻👏🏻! Have a good one. Be well and stay safe out there..🏈🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. I had difficulty with Adjoin until I spotted Join. Though I thought Change might be the first word of the answer, I couldn’t unscramble the remaining letters. I reread the dialogue, saw “topic” and got it. I don’t follow college football, but Go Bills! Wishing all a good weekend.

  6. Unscrambling the words came quickly. The answer, however, took some work. I found CHANGE, but it still took some time to find SUBJECT.

    • Puzzle anagram was harder than usual — especially since first word couldn’t end in ‘ing.’
I used a tactic of ‘re-jumbling’ the answer anagram letter order until finally ‘ject’ emerged leading me to ‘subject’ and ‘change’ was left over — phew!

  7. HELP!
I was stumped again by the cartoon answer even though I had solved the anagrams and had all the letters!
    Any advice?
Would appreciate any words of wisdom!

    • Different people have different strategies. Angela uses the cues in the puzzle to find the common phrases. Sometimes that works for me, but I usually look closely at the available letters. For today’s puzzle, I tried to find words from the letters that might be in the answer. I found CHANGE that way, as I tried to find words with C in them. With the left over letters, I found SUBJECT. Sometimes the first word you find isn’t useful, so you look for another. You get better with experience.

    • Hi Chuck, sometimes the dictionary helps when I’m searching for the correct Jumble word. I looked up the definition for “Topic” and the word “subject” is in the definition. I also looked up the theme of Michigan State versus Michigan for a clue, which might help me in some cases to find a puzzle answer but it didn’t help me this time

  8. Really good puzzle this morning. No trouble with the anagrams but just couldn’t get the cartoon answer in spite of studying the dialogue, taking out my paper and pencil and taking a break. I saw object but subject just didn’t come to mind. Good mental workout though. Happy Friday all!

      • You’re totally right I just kept thinking of one person or the other objecting so my brain just didn’t go to topic hence subject. 🧠 Needed to shift gears but didn’t. C’est la vie!

        • I wouldn’t worry about it, Miss Betty, your brain does just fine…you come up with tons of great witticisms!
…Maybe some chocolate would help? Today’s NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY…and of course I thought of you. One of OUR 5 major food groups! And I know we share a special affinity for it…I’m doing my part…I’ve downed 3 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups so far! 😉 Have a good one…Have some chocolate!!! 🍫 🙋🏻‍♀️ https://tinyurl.com/2t88mdb3

          • Oh my goodness how did National Chocolate Day slip by me. Fortunately, it’s still early here on the West Coast so I will be able to honor it properly later today. Yay Hershey’s. 🍫

  9. 🍻When two men sit down to have a beer,
    It’s usually a time of good cheer…
    But what we have today,
    Takes things a different way…
And the bad blood is boiling I fear! 🍻

🏈 Football rivalry older than time,
And we see these two here just don’t chime…
    Michigan is the state,
    But the two teams berate…
One another at the drop of a dime! 🏈

👍🏻When it comes to a favorite team,
Things can be a lot more than it seems…
Jeff knows his team is best,
    So why bother to wrest…
An agreement from someone who dreams? 👍🏻

🏈 Whether people are friendly or not,
Comes to sports, it’s a whole other plot…
    Things get heated for sure,
    And it’s hard to demure…
When the better team is what you’ve got! 🏈

🤷🏻‍♂️Bottom line here, it just comes down to this,
    There’s trash talking and giving a dis…
    But it really don’t pay,
    Arguing all the day…
It’s a toss up most times when teams play! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  10. Jeff’s figures of speech and language usage are different than mine, so my limited right brain function often falls short of solving by studying the cartoon for clues But, good old fashion shoe leather on arranging letters almost always results in a solve — if I’m patient enough 😎.

    • JRay..It’s David who creates the question and solve to the puzzle…he’s a master when it comes to the use of idioms. What Jeff brings to the table with his spot on drawings and ultra witty dialogue never fails to enhance David’s intent. They’re a well-oiled machine! … And there’s no right or wrong to solving the Jumble. Whatever works best! 🙋🏻‍♀️
