    🍳🧀 No need to write an ESSAY…it’s just a menu change,
    The cook here, name of LIZARD, manages to rearrange…
    The breakfast fare adroitly…of course the eggs they HOARD,
    And an omelet’s always GROOVY…a choice easy to afford
    So as we see this morning…omelets seem to be the wish…
    Of the trio of men here…’cause it’s today’s “SAVE-ORY” DISH…🍳🧀

    Ok…Here’s a little question. Today’s puzzle…Did it ring a bell at all… and if so, why? If you get what I’m referring to, just say you do, without giving it away…I’ll post what I’m speaking about around noon time…

    So…Today…A neighborhood cafe…and three men…left to right: SWISS Beatz, already enjoying his omelet, CHET R, and CURD Russell…who know EGGSactly when they’re getting an EGGScellent DEAL…and a good MEAL…With the Daily Special of the 3-Cheese Omelet = being a great DISH, and being $5 off…= they SAVE money, this one was spoon-FETA to us…So if you couldn’t DIGEST all the clues we were given and unSCRAMBLE this EASY OVER, I mean easy, BRIE-zy solve, then the YOLK’s on you. And if you didn’t BITE…you might find yourself feeling BLEU…Our question: “Special”, “$5 off”…the dialogue from our waitress, GRATE-A Garbo: “great DEAL”…the 3 cheeses making one heck of a GOUDA DISH, and those quotation marks letting us know that a word was going to be SERVED up as a pun?…All 3 of our men tried the “SAVE-ORY” DISH …https://tinyurl.com/mphtt8jw And I CAMEMBERT any ORDER time when we’ve had so much FONDUE-ing a puzzle…

    Jeff’s💎Gem? CHET R is wearing a Jumble cap. And if you look real closely at the serving window in the background?…The dish at left? You can see fingers placing it down. That Jeff…you gotta HAND it to him…I think I’ll give him a little TOAST…🍷

    So…There you have it Folks…Done. HAVARTI good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend Nick, who was shopping one day last week with his cousin Enzo, who was visiting. We live in a very Italian neighborhood, and have “cheese” stores. The store was very busy on this particular day, and with only one salesclerk, MONTEREY JACK working, my friend’s cousin was losing patience waiting. Leaning against the CRESCENZA, I mean the credenza, so to speak, that holds the different cheeses, he called out, “Hey…RICOTTA get going here… CURD you hurry it up”? To which Jack answered…”EN..CHIL..ADOing the best I can…CHEESE, Louise, gimme a break…ASIAGO any faster it won’t be GOUDA for me”…And you FETA BRIElieve Enzo CURDtailed his behavior after that…We don’t tolerate that RIND of behavior around here…🍳🧀🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🌶️🧅The teen wrote an ESSAY about a so-called GROOVY guy named LIZARD, who was known for a signature SAVORY DISH made from his HOARD of special spices… 🧅🌶️

    🤷🏻‍♂️The neighbors thought him slightly odd, he kept a frog and LIZARD,
    And when they saw him shopping…he would buy a ton of gizzards…
    He’d ESSAY smiles here and there, he loved speaking ‘bout movies,
    He had a HOARD of T-shirts…every single one read “GROOVY”
    Rumor had it that he’d been a chef…famous for cooking fish…
    Yet he never mentioned anything about his SAVORY DISH…🤷🏻‍♂️

    That the locals have come to embrace…

    And when there’s a good price,
    It’s easy to entice…

    🍳3-Cheese omelets the special today,
    And we’re hearing our Ms Grate-A say….
    That it’s such a great deal,
    And a savory meal…
    So she has diners saying, “Okay”…🍳

    👍🏻Saving money while eating well too,
    Let’s be honest, we all like to do…
    And for our guys today,
    They’re enjoying their stay…
    And those omelets? They’re selling a slew! 👍🏻

  6. Not a good thirsty-Thursday ! I was pretty thirsty ! I did all the anagrams , and I was feeling pretty good , but the jumble just didn’t click ! I had a fats time trying to figure out a two word , hyphenated , with quotations ! I really tried to come up with something “egg” related But to no avail ! I’m going to have to take this and bring it back tomorrow and the weekend !! Angela , your song was so fun ! The lyrics were so good by the Pun-rythmics ! Very funny and interesting post you had ! I wish I could’ve seen the solution ! So bring on Friday and Saturdays jumble and end the week on a GOUDA solve !

  7. After a quick look, thought I had a fast solve, but EGGS-ACT (since the men ordered the same meal) was definitely the wrong rabbit hole to go down. The anagrams were easy enough and first spelled out OVER, which was wrong….and then I got the SAVE connection that helped solve the puzzle. Angela, you did quite the word-weaving in your post today. Hats off !!! Enjoy your Hump Day, and I’ll come back at noonish. Terry

  9. In good company this morning as I was also totally stumped on the cartoon just as the other jumble responders were. Reminded me of a local grocery store we went to for our morning coffee where there was a daily similar breakfast special, Chuck.

    • Coffee was 25c and the breakfast special, eg. Bacon eggs and toast was $1! Good old days! Chuck.

  11. Remember the link I posted on Sunday of the podcast with David? As soon as I saw today’s puzzle, I realized it was the one he had spoken about on there. He said that he’d gotten the inspiration for a puzzle he had just submitted by seeing a sign for a Daily Special at a breakfast restaurant. And after telling David that I identified the puzzle today as the one he had spoken about, I told him that I was going to see if it rang a bell with anyone else. We both figured it was a good way to see if anyone listened to his podcast…🙋🏻‍♀️
