🎶 I get no kick in a plane…Flying too high with some gal in the sky is my idea of nothing to do…Yet I get a KICK…You give me a boot…I get a KICK out of you…🎶 “I Get a Kick Out of You” – Mr Frank Sinatra 1973 https://tinyurl.com/4ss7dvt3
So it’s been a while, but today we seem to have a new word added to the Jumble lexicon…SPIFFY! https://tinyurl.com/3vzss5dh . Welcome!
Ok…A Soccer Field…where a team is practicing at back, while we see a young girl’s team up front…Five players, and their Coach giving them a pep talk. Having won their first three games, and needing just one more under their belts to make them Champions, he’s reminding them to keep their eye on the ball…literally…to stay focused …And as with any sport, winning three straight games means you’re “Three for Three”. Winning Four? “Four for Four”, etc. So…What’s our team ready to try? FOR FOUR FOR FOUR…And even if the solve didn’t hit you right in the HEAD at first glance, all you KNEE-ded to do to get your FOOT in the door, was to take a look at those FOUR “O”s, FOUR “F”s, and FOUR “R”s to know you were definitely in the ballpark…But TBT, despite my automatically SCORING the solve, I think if the first FOR was used as the last word of the question, we would have achieved our GOAL with a much smoother flow…Just my opinion…so I thought I’d KICK it out there…
…And surprisingly, that’s not the signature Jumble J as the logo on the jerseys…it’s a Soccer ball…What’s happening to the franchise?
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and keep in mind…just like Soccer players, we can’t afford to go through life without goals…🥅🙋🏻♀️

Good morning Sunday Funday ! This has been the best Sunday in jumble land I have ever experienced ! The anagrams came to me like the smooth week of them have done ! The jumble was a freak ! After I saw all the letters 4 o’s , 4 r’s , 4 F’s , I thought it’s gotta be four words and two words alike and then I saw FOR FOUR twice and that was it ! I loved it ! FOR a Sunday it was FOUR times better ! So everyone have a great Sunday Funday !!!!
⚽️ When you’re coaching a team of young kids,
Things may not always go as one bids…
Some have thoughts of ice cream,
Coming before the team…
And there’s chance the game may hit the skids! ⚽️
🤞🏻Here’s a coach looking for that last win,
Hoping chances for it aren’t slim…
So he gives a pep talk,
Needs the kids not to balk…
And hopes they will deliver for him! 🤞🏻
🥅 Little girls on the Soccer team play,
Needing one more win for that payday…
And then champs they will be,
If they get past that three…
And today may be their lucky day! 🥅
⚽️ It’s called football away from our shores,
Bottom line works the same comes to scores…
It’s ‘bout getting that goal,
Staying out of a hole…
And with this team we’re looking for fours! ⚽️
🥅 For the final game now they will meet,
Hoping to avoid any defeat…
They need just play with heart,
And be sure to stay smart…
Using their minds…along with their feet! 🥅
Great limericks Angela. I remember “banana” soccer from the days my sons played. “Banana” soccer? Yes, because they all played in a bunch! Those were hilarious times! The kids who just trotted with others, never thinking that the point was to actually kick the ball and those who stopped to pick the daisies!
Tk you, Helen. ⚽️🙋🏻♀️
🤷🏻♀️ After success with her first three boats, this GROOVY new one, dubbed the “ORIOLE”, despite looking SPIFFY, had a persistent problem with its RUDDER that continued to BAFFLE her, and she knew that she needed to BURROW into it if she was to go FOR FOUR FOR FOUR…🤷🏻♀️
🤦🏻♂️ An ORIOLE had made a nest atop his GROOVY boat,
Spent time to BURROW through the mast and now on eggs did dote…
He just had fixed the RUDDER, had things SPIFFY…so he thought,
And now this here did BAFFLE him…and help is what he sought…
He’d mastered two bikes and a car with its four-on-the -floor…
But frustrated he’d now become trying FOR FOUR FOR FOUR! 🤦🏻♂️
Well, out of the starting gate, I knew there had to be a FOUR, here and there. Wasn’t surprised as I started unscrambling anagrams and found puzzle solution quite readily. Will go back and check out Angela’s sentence about “if the first FOR was used as the last word in the question” ??? Didn’t quite understand that, but will investigate later. Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter and soccer !!! What a wonderful combination. Have a great Sunday/Funday….still kinda hot in Texas.
Despite the plurality of F’s O’s and R’s, For and Four were obvious choices , so the solution quickly followed. Good news is we had some rain overnight to alleviate our drought.
A SPIFFY and GROOVY Jumble. I haven’t used or heard these two words in a long time. This was probably the easiest Sunday Jumble I’ve tried. The words had lots of double letters and a blind solve on the answer. But fun.
I expected a groovy song…
Good morning. Couldn’t have been much easier unless they gave us the answers too. No problem with either parts of jumble today. Old blue eyes concluded the good feeling with his number. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Another happy camper here today. Loved all the double letter words and the cartoon was a snap. Happy Sunday all!
Good Morning, Everyone…🥅 FOUR ALL IT’S WORTH 🥅
