  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🏚️THE GOOD NEIGHBOR FALLACY?🏚️

    🎶 It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood…🎶… “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” – Fred Rogers 1967  https://tinyurl.com/4se7vzbf

🏚️The neighbors now are up in arms, the house standing APART,
From every other…all because the owners have no heart….
An EMBLEM of sorts they all wore, a virtual band of pride,
They stood behind the promise they’d maintain the grounds outside…
The area a RADIUS of twenty miles or so,
The homes pristine for blocks around…whichever way you’d go
And now that Peeve is selling she needs her PRICE to stay real…
But the eyesore to her left has definitely CURBED APPEAL…🏚️

Hmm…”When they left”…For vacation…for business…for good? I mean, if the house was sold…”they” have no further responsibility. If they left on vacation, or for an indeterminate business trip… well then that’s a different story. But we really don’t know, DEW we? Right now, it’s all a ROOT, I mean a moot point, no?…

So…Today…Suburbia, U.S.A. And we’re standing on MOAN Street, listening to PEEVE Arden speak with Mister Rogers, Neighborhood self-ordained Mayor. And the topic of DISGUSTion is their neighbor, LEAVE Erickson’s house. For whatever reason, the Ericksons have allowed their property to run to SEED, and it’s CURB APPEAL https://tinyurl.com/46zt7wek  has gone to the DOGS.. And both Peeve and Fred are like…”MOW is me”…But Peeve, is especially peeved! Rightfully so…With her house up for sale, the aesthetic is ruined with that grass having gone way too LAWN without being cut…It’s definitely an eyesore…But as for our solve? …It’s resulted in…CURBED APPEAL…And WEED didn’t need any STREET smarts here today…This one was definitely CUT and dry…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who was invited to invest in a landscaping business…get in on the GROUND floor, so to speak…He didn’t think MULCH of it, but he took a shot anyway….Unfortunately it turned out to be a huge PANSY scheme…And ever since he’s had a hard time regaining his confidence…We’re still hoping he SEEDS his way through..and outGROWS it soon…WEED hate seeing him this SOD all the time…🏚️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🏡 APART from the ridiculous range in PRICE, they were smitten with the area’s CURB APPEAL, and continued to search within a ten mile RADIUS of the neighborhood, dubbed the “EMBLEM” section…🏡

🍊The juice bar served up fruit so fresh, grown on the land they tilled,
    A RADIUS of two miles…so fertile…fit the bill…
An orange tree their EMBLEM…the PRICE of goods so fair,
All these things set them far APART from other places near
The location so perfect…making their business ideal…
And the beautiful landscaping…offered the best CURB APPEAL…🍊

  4. 👍🏻With good neighbors one truly is blessed,
In and out of homes…each being guests…
And you see eye to eye,
As the years they go by…
And amongst you no call for unrest…👍🏻

🤲🏻 Lend a helping hand if one should need?
    Goes unspoken…it’s clearly agreed…
    Whether a fence or not,
    Everyone’s back is “got”…
    And there’s harmony…that’s guaranteed….🤲🏻

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️But today we see something amiss…
Seems the Ericksons have played a dis…
And both Peeve and our Fred,
    Are so seeing red…
Over something they just can’t dismiss…🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️

🏚️Erickson’s lawn has caused them some grief,
Their front yard? It’s now way past belief…
    And Peeve’s worried her sale,
    Is likely to fail…
And she desperately needs some relief…🏚️

🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️Up to me…I’d just have the place mowed,
It’s not worth it to go through the woe…
    Why deal with the lament,
    It’d be money well spent…
Better than standing watching it grow! …🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Today is 🍕NATIONAL PIZZA PARTY DAY🍕…Hmm…I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned, any way you SLICE it…every day is a Pizza Party day!  https://tinyurl.com/8u3uatck Enjoy! 🍕🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. I was completely aced out by the Jumble Gods today….all anagrams completed and still couldn’t find the answer. CURB just didn’t show up on my radar. On a happier note, always loved the background music on Mr. Rogers….John Costa and his trio playing some very melodic jazz. Good song choice and will try for better tomorrow. Terry

  7. Hi Everybody – The anagrams came easily but not the answer. I could only think of a few six-letter words. My yard isn’t pristine, but it has some good stuff for pollinators and other wildlife. Got a big kick out of your MOW and PANSY puns, Angela. Caroline

  8. The answer is not BURPED PALACE (how do you burp a palace?), CUPPED ARABLE (that’s the opposite of the correct answer) or CABLED PAUPER (as nowadays one would use email). It’s CURBED APPEAL, as though appeal were a dog that is being walked. It’s not the presence of a curb but the absence of a mower that is the homeowner’s problem. By the way, this is a good one for cat lovers, since the word MEOW appears in the cartoon.

    • Didn’t understand the significance of any of your answers…maybe for a different cartoon question ??? Terry

      • Terry…There never is any significance…And yet I get accused of posting gibberish! 😂😂🤷🏻‍♀️

      • My other three nonsense answers fit into the two six-letter words of the cartoon answer block. They are anagrams of CURBED APPEAL. And yes, MEOW is in this jumble – it’s kind of hidden but it is there.

  9. Good morning. Bombed out on Radius and I came up with the answer to the cartoon but didn’t think I was right. I got appeal first and the leftover letters gave me curbed but I still thought there was a better answer. Until tomorrow take care.

  10. Yikes, no clue whatsoever on the cartoon solution despite having all the letters from the solved anagrams! On a stumped Friday! Chuck.

  11. Hello Friday , end of the work week ! And what a way to end the work week ! All the anagrams were right there ! The jumble was there but it didn’t come that quick ! But seeing the yard right by the road , gave me CURB and the ED , I had to think a little ! But the APPEAL then came out ! And Angela , Mr Roger’s neighborhood was really cute and it fit the jumble cartoon ! Yes , and I agree that your MOW and PANSY puns were very punny ! So bring on Saturday to cap the week off ! Everyone have a Good Friday !!!!!!

  12. The words were easy. For the answer, I wondered what to do with the two P’s, and came up with APPEAL. The letters left gave CURBED. Not too bad today.

A house a couple of doors down had an unmoved lawn for a while, as the owner died and left the house to his sister. The sister lives far enough away that they very rarely visit. Don’t know whether they will sell or move in.

    • It’s so unfortunate when that happens, Dennis. Not only is it so unsightly, but it eventually becomes a breeding ground for all kinds of vermin. There was a similar situation in a neighborhood three over from me last year..the poor neighbors couldn’t even enjoy being outside anymore in the warm weather…it made the local paper. Good luck, I hope your situation gets resolved. As for today’s answer, CURB APPEAL is such a common phrase, I really thought it would be an automatic solve for everyone…but it’s not looking that way…🤷🏻‍♀️Have a good one, Dennis. 🏚️🙋🏻‍♀️

  13. I got stuck when the first 6 letter word I came up with was “parcel”.

  14. surprise answer for 5/17/24 was confused and awlful. You could have done A LOT better!!
