    • Good Morning, Everyone…👨🏻‍🦲THE HAIR NECESSITIES? 👨🏻‍🦲

      🎶I’m HAIRY high and low…But don’t ask me why…’Cause he don’t know…It’s not for LACK OF BREAD…Like the Grateful Dead, darlin’…Gimme a head with HAIR…long beautiful HAIR…🎶 …”Hair’ – The Cowsills 1969 http://tinyurl.com/yc2chb9j

👨🏻‍🦲The bald guy here in question, is one we know and love,
No reason he need PROVE himself…if push came down to shove…
A man DEVOUT in what he does, but let’s make no mistake,
Should it come down to money…David FRUGAL? Goodness sake!
A FORCE of nature this guy is…so trust me there’s no way…
That if he did consider this? He’d not AFFORD “TOUPEE”! 👨🏻‍🦲

Ok…wHAIR do I begin? Our puzzle today is as witty as it is easy to solve. And I was COMBING (pun intended) through some past puzzles to see if WEAVE had one like this before, but so far I’ve come up dry. I just love the cleverness of it..but more so the comic element of David splitting HAIRS…(and yes, again, pun intended)…Well intended, of course…

So…David and Jeff at “STRAND and Deliver”, a business that caters to men who prefer to COVER up their lack of hair. And we see David trying on a hairpiece http://tinyurl.com/3v65j3ty offered to him by the proprietor, Mr WIGgins; who’s heard telling David that he looks great…and “what’s that WORTH” = MONEY… And from the LOCKS of things, it’s obvious Mr WIGgins knows from whence he speaks…(And for the grammar police out there, yes, I know that “from whence” may be redundant, but it’s broadly accepted…plus I don’t like how whence sounds with the from) …Anyway…With our question giving us “broke” = (can’t AFFORD) and ”hairpiece” = TOUPEE, our dialogue offering up David concerned about PRICE range, Jeff telling him to stop low-BALDING, I mean low-balling…not to mention those quotation marks letting us know that tHAIR’s more HAIR than meets the eye…tHAIR’s no reason to sweep this one under the RUG….Our solve is right tHAIR for the taking…David really could well…AFFORD “TOUPEE”! http://tinyurl.com/bdfmaukb …And that about COVERS it all!

So…tHAIR you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of a friend of mine whose Grandfather passed away…his Grandmother buried him without his toupee…she considered it a family HAIRloom…And I know tHAIR’s a ton of toupee jokes out there, but right now I can’t think of any off the TOP OF MY HEAD…But keep this in mind…it’s not wise to insult a man just for being bald…Do so, and tHAIR might be hell TOUPEE…👨🏻‍🦲🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤷🏻‍♀️Despite being FRUGAL, she could well AFFORD TO PAY for the item..but refused to allow anyone to FORCE her into buying something…she had nothing to PROVE, and was a DEVOUT believer in a less hovering sales approach…🤷🏻‍♀️

💵 Fund raiser for the Air FORCE…and they’re all planning to go,
DEVOUT fans of the service, they did PROVE they were gung-ho…
‘Twas no time to be FRUGAL so they’ll definitely find a way
To save enough so all of them could well AFFORD TO PAY…💵

    • 🤷🏻‍♂️There are men who grow gracefully old,
With their hair intact..the truth be told,
      But for others it seems,
      The hair’s only a dream…
      And their story differently unfolds….🤷🏻‍♂️

👨🏻‍🦲Seems the follicles bid them adieu,
And there’s no hair where once the hair grew…
But it’s just part of life,
      And it needn’t bring strife…
      It’s now just a look all anew…👨🏻‍🦲

👍🏻Comes to David, he’s looking just fine,
And he’s aging just like a fine wine…
      Does he need a toupee?
I say, “Hell no, no way”…
      It’s just not part of David’s design…👍🏻

👨🏻‍🦲 And besides, today baldness is chic,
It’s no longer looked at as unique…
Men now shave off their hair,
      And it’s devil-may-care…
It’s a look that some men now do seek…👨🏻‍🦲

👍🏻Bottom line, whether there’s hair or not,
      Hardly matters..it’s what that man’s got…
      Busy streets don’t grow grass…
And if that man has class?
Trust me, he’s still ahead of the lot! 👍🏻

      • Your last limerick says it all, so I won’t post a limerick today. My son, a very decent human being, started to lose his hair at a very young age. It was tough for him but it has not held him back in any way. His twin has not lost any hair. It’s just random!

  2. Wow ! Interesting way to end the work week Friday ! Two anagrams , I had to look up and one was FRUGAL , and the other was DEVOUT ! I had to save some brain power for the jumble , which I got AFFORD , but I forgot to write down the remaining P letter , and that only left OEEUT , then I found it ! I crossed my fingers to see if it worked and it did ! So Angela , it’s been a while since I heard that song by the Cowsils , and I love it ! Great choice ! Your play on words and puns are all so fun to read ! So I was thinking ,”Hair today , gone tomorrow “ , fun Friday jumble ! Everyone have a good start to the weekend !!!!

  3. OMG….took a quick listen to that song and it brought back so many memories of that music genre of the mid-late 60’s, especially styles, arrangements and such. Did a good job knocking the crooners off the charts, for sure. After sensing TOUPEE might be part of the solution, put it quickly together for a blind solve. That helped me back in FRUGAL, which was troublesome. Again, very prolific and enjoyable blog, Angela. Terry

    • Tks Terry …and yes, “hairpiece” definitely screamed toupee…👨🏻‍🦲🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Again a happy conclusion on both parts. It just took a little longer to get the last two words. I had the first word of the cartoon but expected there should have been an a between the two words therefore I wasn’t thinking of toupee. When I finally got frugal and put all the letters down the remaining letters left the second word. Do you know Angela that when I anointed you “Queen of Puns” today is the day that you proved you deserve that title. You outdid yourself. 🏆 Until tomorrow take care.

  5. As much as I like doing the jumble daily, I really look forward to Angela’s comments and song choices.

    • Tk you, Marlene…it’s very kind of you to say. Wishing you a wonderful day…🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Paul…The oddest thing, I just found this in the Spam folder…4 days after the fact! I don’t know how it got in there…But I want to thank you. ❤️🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Too many letters for me to solve the cartoon on a meatless Friday in Lent. A family Lenten treat is noodles and corn. Egg noodles fried, topped with cream style corn and vegetarian baked beans. A treat I grew up with along with salmon patties and tuna noodle casserole. Chuck.
