    • Good Morning, Everyone…🔠 CAPITALIZING ON LEARNING 🔠

🎶 For worse or for better…Gonna give it to you…In CAPITAL LETTERS…🎶 “Capital Letters” – Hailee Steinfeld & BloodPop 2018 http://tinyurl.com/2rsk2jjh

🔠 Before they’d study POETRY, they’d need to get down pat,
What words called for a Capital, the certain this and that…
Then they could BRANCH out, move onto what would give them the GROWTH,
To recognize the proper names…and what would call for quotes…
The concentration span with kids can easily EXPIRE,
So teachers need to DIVERT here and there…keep lit that fire…
It’s POISON to get boggled down when teaching things brand new…
But our teacher kept their interest…’twas the PROPER THING TO DO! 🔠

Russell isn’t a name one sees every day…but surprisingly I have more than one in my family. I like the name…But more importantly, it’s the name of David’s Dad…so we give a Shout Out to Mr Hoyt, Sr…and hope this finds him well…

So…Today an elementary school classroom…most likely first grade. And we find our teacher, Mrs DOrothy WainRIGHT, conducting a lesson on capitalization, http://tinyurl.com/4hbcxnze and its use when referring to PROPER names and nouns http://tinyurl.com/543xcj2n versus common ones. She uses the name of David’s dog, Daisy, David’s Dad, Russell, who is finding it to be a BIG deal, and one of Jeff’s favorite destinations, Italy. And she’s SPELT THINGS out PROPERLY, I mean perfectly, if you ask me. As for the two little girls in the class… let’s call them Kathy and Claire…hopefully they’ll be part of another lesson…since it would be the PROPER THING TO DOhttp://tinyurl.com/3es4xxm2 …Because let’s face it, our young girls are no LESSON important than our boys…

So…There you have it Folks, Done. Another LETTER perfect, easy, breezy, puzzle. And no LESSON a great way to end our week. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of the time I was given detention by a teacher for using all uppercase letters in a typing class. Damn CAPITAL punishment…And if you don’t get this one… fahgettaboudit…we’ll never see I to i…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 💲In order for the BRANCH to experience any GROWTH potential before the fiscal year would EXPIRE, they’d need to DIVERT their efforts from the POETRY readings…which unfortunately had proven somewhat POISON to the coffers …it just seemed to be the PROPER THING TO DO…💲

🌱 The fungus GROWTH was POISON, it seemed to BRANCH all out,
The POETRY club no longer safe to meet and mill about..,
Their efforts to DIVERT its flow by now they did EXPIRE,
And they were left with fungus that continued to grow higher
They’d have to find a new spot, and just begin anew…
And so resigned themselves to move…the PROPER THING TO DO…🌱

    • 👧🏻👦🏻Teaching children one has to play close,
      To the vest…never getting verbose…
      The attention span tight,
      So a teacher must fight….
To make sure no child might doze…👦🏻👧🏻

      🔥The lesson today Proper names,
And the teacher tries making up games…
      She dubs Russell a star,
      Knowing that’ll go far…
      And she’s keeping attention aflame…🔥

👍🏻For a child to learn just what’s right,
So that he can soar to any height…
      Teachers must make things fun,
      Every lesson begun…
Needs to have little minds see that light…👍🏻

👦🏻And we see that with Russell today,
What she’s teaching has given him sway…
      He’s important he says,
      As he’s learning Cortez…
      Needs a Capital…that’s the right way…👦🏻

      👍🏻Hopefully all these children retain,
      Today’s lesson and therefore remain…
On the path to know when,
      With a Kathy or Gwen…
It’s the Capital they need maintain!

  2. Good Jumble morning with just one missing word for a partial blind solve. Immediately thought of PROPER XXXXX TO DO, but had to unscramble anagrams for THING. That was disappointing. Quick question. You used the word SPELT….is that correct or should it have been SPELLED?? Just asking. About your finishing pun?? I think I got it, but is there some secret I’m missing?? Have a great Sunday and see you tomorrow. Terry

    • Hey Terry. Yes, I meant Spelt. I’ve always liked the word. The I to i? No, no secret. But I’d need you to tell me if you got it …🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. Seems this teacher, well nothing can stop ‘er

From teaching nouns common and proper

    But today anything goes

    In language or prose

And grammar has come quite a cropper!

Not too many classrooms left like this anymore! There are usually Smartboards or ipads in evidence. As for grammar, punctuation etc., adults have done nothing to help, creating short forms and ignoring capitals in messages.

  4. Wow a quick solve of the anagrams and cartoon after the obvious clue of capitalizing nouns! Quite a difference from my usual problem with the additional anagrams and letters on the Sunday Jumble!

  5. Tough Sunday Funday ! But still a Funday ! Only one anagram threw me off ! It was DIVERT ! Now the jumble was tough ! After I saw it , I rolled my eyes and should’ve put my thinking cap on to see that capitalizing a letter which is called a PROPER noun , which was mentioned and I should’ve thought more thoroughly ! But a very Sunday Funday jumble ! Looking forward to another week of fun solvable jumbles with the best jumble family ever !!!!!!!!!’

  6. Good morning. Not much trouble on both parts of jumble. I was able to finish in reasonable time. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. I first saw divert as trivet but once I corrected that error, the cartoon answer was a given. Very rainy weather here today. Apparently we’re in for another Atmospheric River which I think is just a really bad storm. Stay warm fellow Jumblers. Betty

    • I saw reports on this morning’s news, Betty. Stay safe. 🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️
