Happy Tuesday fellow Jumblers! Like many of you, my first guess for the final answer was “TIE-RADE” as it seemed a better fit to complete the cartoon sentence. After thinking about it for a bit, I came to the conclusion that “TIE-RANT” was the better choice as the gentleman went on a RANT about the ugly TIE, and the visual clues made it obvious that he was a TYRANT. All in all it was a brilliant seven-letter solution that took minimal effort to arrive at.
No new clue words were used this morning. Two of the anagrams were new with LUFAT and GREETR being the ones we’ve definitely encountered before. GREETR took a few extra seconds to come into view so it’ll be my pick for today’s hardest anagram.
REVOLTING cartoon of a political figure that was displeased by his aides choice in neckwear. The dialogue had three strong word choices (INCOMPETENT, UGLY and INSULT) and they let us know he’s not to be messed with. My favorite detail ended up being his clenched fist around the necktie as it seems to indicate he has a firm grip around the neck of his people. The oversized portrait in the background of a leader with a lion and two tanks was a great visual clue that shows he’s obsessed with power and strength. On to tomorrow! Until then, be well and enjoy the day.

Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…👔 🙋🏻♀️
🎶 And as long as I’ve got my SUIT AND TIE…I’ma leave it all on the floor tonight….And you got fixed up to the nines…Let me show you a few things (show you a few things)…🎶 “Suit and Tie” – Justin Timberlake w/ Jay Z 2013 https://tinyurl.com/kc58su2p
🤷🏻♂️ Knowing they were dealing with a TYRANT, it was a THORNY situation…but they tried putting FAULT aside, and achieving a JIFFY resolution to something that caused them all deep REGRET…🤷🏻♂️
🌳 The bushes very THORNY, no way could they be trimmed JIFFY,
But they sorely needed pruning, for the garden to look spiffy…
The overgrowth the FAULT of rain, the season very wet,
And they def needed to clean it up, so there’d be no REGRET
Next time they should consider maybe changing what they plant…
‘Cause the wild way these tend to grow? They’ve dubbed them “Bush TYRANT”! 🌳
🙏🏻 Prayers for our readership in Tennessee.
Another partial credit day…..and a partial blind solve. Out of the starting gates, the obvious TIE was there and I jumped on TIE-RADE which made a lot of sense at 0615 in the morning. When my anagram letters didn’t support RADE, the correct RANT came to the surface….and of course, I finally saw the correct connection of TYRANT and DICTATOR. Haven’t heard the song….but great song title, nonetheless !!
A RANT over a TIE? …What’s next?…An ASCOT for the Despot? A TIE-bar for the Czar? Absurdity! 😉 Let me know what you think of the song, Terry. It has a great arREIGNgment! 👔🙋🏻♀️
I also suspected the puzzle solve was “Tie-Rade” but found the “Rant” in the circled letters. Anagrams went so quickly that I barely had to time to get a sip of coffee. It’s “Putting on the Ritz” for my Jumble song of the day. I especially like the “Young Frankenstein” version. Oppressive heat again today. Stay safe.
…Even though I think the TIE-RANT here is “putting on” more of “a blitz”,..here you go… https://tinyurl.com/y724639e …because I was singing this song myself this morning! Plus, you’re a nice guy…nothing like a tyrant at all! Enjoy, OO…👔🙋🏻♀️
I see that people can like a comment or reply but the life of me, I don’t see what or where to click. As always, thanks for the video!
Hi OO. The “LIKE” box on comments was removed…so if you’re still seeing my “likes” it’s because I’m doing it from “behind the scenes” so to speak. But there’s still a REPLY box under each comment, which should work. And, as always, you’re very welcome. I hope you enjoyed it. Two comedic geniuses…and they made a great pair! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🙋🏻♀️
OO…I think I misunderstood your comment. You meant liking a comment “or” a reply. Sorry, I misread you. But no, there’s no way to do that any longer on the blog page itself. 🤷🏻♀️
It was redundant, OO. All comments are liked and appreciated no matter who they come from. 🙂
Thanks. I was beginning to think the old mind was failing faster than it might be!
Nah…..you’re as sharp as a tack and have a great sense of humor. We’re fortunate to have you here!
Good morning.today was continuation of yesterday. I had a half blind solve. Mine was Tie Rate. After checking the letters I see theirs was better than mine. First time hearing the song choice. No further comment Angela. My mother always said if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
LOL! …And if we can’t trust Mom…who can we trust? 🤷🏻♀️ Good Morning, Paul. For you… https://tinyurl.com/2wzjwvsm …And hoping you’re well and staying safe too. Have a good one, Brooklyn…Be careful with this heat… 👔🙋🏻♀️
All I can say is that mama knew best. Good as it gets.
Yes She did, Paul. Mama always knew best…💔🙋🏻♀️
F’s were wild w fault and jiffy as anagrams.Tie was a given w the cartoon, leading to tie-rant as the only possible solution. Finally back home w a real paper copy of the Jumble after a jaunt to my home state,Ohio, for a weekend wedding, helped w today’s Jumble.
Hello Angela et al. it’s tempting to make a political statement out of today’s jumble, especially after seeing what’s in the picture on the wall…….
The tyrant was ranting and raving
At the aide so stoically braving
“Get this tie out of sight
Or feel my wrath and my might
And your own neck you’ll have to be saving!!
Hi Helen. We pride ourselves on not getting political here. That was one of Mike’s bylaws from the start…So, although we quite often find ourselves biting our tongues…we prevail! 😉
🤷🏻♂️ The dictator is spewing his dreck,
How does one even insult a neck?
The man’s loud and he’s rude,
He’s just proving he’s crude…
And the valet’s now a nervous wreck! 🤷🏻♂️
Too easy 100yr old lady el
You’re amazing, El! It’s always great hearing from you. Be well and take care. 🙂
Amazing indeed.
I too thought tie rate at first but lacking the proper letters, tie rant appeared. Easy solve for a Tuesday, but clever nonetheless. Have a good day all.
Hi Betty. Did you mean “TIE-RADE” (TIRADE)? I only ask because I saw that Paul typed TIE-RATE as well….. Just curious.
Yes, Mike, I did mean Tirade I probably still had Paul’s answer in my mind. Maybe I need to get a cup of his blueberries to function better in the morning.
I just wanted to be sure you folks weren’t seeing something else. No worries. 🙂
I two was looking for TIE-RADE but quickly found RANT which actually makes for a better solution. Sort of a fun early in the week J so I will look for another tomorrow…………………..
I agree with you, Mig. It made you stop and think for a minute or three. Let’s just hope the WINDSOR change start blowing and he’s overthrown real soon…..
RIP Charlie Watts. You were always one of the good ones..🥁
