    And later find REGRET slowly into your thoughts has crept
    But looking at these lots, they find the whole area so freeing…
    The ENSIGN and his wife are pleased…happy to be “SITE-SEEING”! 🌲

    Our words today are not new, but three of our anagrams are coming up as such. The only one we’ve seen before is CUTOS, going way back to February 7th, 2011. And it was only ENSIGN that flagged out as the tiniest bit of a problem for two of the Early Birds. And TBT? Ensign wasn’t all that easy to work into my rhyme either. So the guy in our cartoon? I made him an Ensign. Because as far as my rhyme goes? It was the only way I could get that ship to sail…

    Our cartoon today is pretty WIDE OPEN. One of those. what you SEE is what you LET…I mean get. We see a couple, looking through the mountainous landscape of an upcoming development, for the ideal spot to build their future home. And Jeff’s given us three lots, one with a slight difference in its acreage. Besides that, their car, and a few fir trees…well, it’s pretty BARREN. But they’re enjoying the views, and if you look closely you can see the image of what they’re SEEING reflected on the man’s phone. It’s a serene scene…

    🤷🏻‍♂️ He signed up to be a Boy SCOUT, a promise that he kept,
    His parents wanted him to join, though he felt quite INEPT…
    His Dad had been an ENSIGN, his Mom she had served too,
    So naturally they felt that it was something he’d pursue
    He knew that he’d REGRET it though, and soon he def was fleeing…
    He’d rather spend his time alone…and just go off SIGHTSEEING! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Good morning. My choice for hardest word was ENSIGN, and me being in the Navy. It took me about 5 minutes to finally get it. The only reason why it took me so long is that ranking officers always made me uncomfortable. Maybe that was why I drew a blank. The cartoon answer was a breeze once I looked at the letters. First time hearing that song and seeing the record label. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    The anagrams went well, though I wasn’t sure of Ensign’s meaning and checked to see if it was correct. The answer took me a long time. I was looking for a word or expression with a meaning like impressed. Finally, I found Site by writing down possible 4-letter words.
    I agree with your thought for the future, Angela. 🍷

  7. I also checked on the spelling of ensign,but otherwise the anagrams,and even the cartoon solution,”site” seeing were all surprisingly easy for a Friday,even more so w “site” in quotes,as cartoon solutions in quotes usually give me trouble.Virtually a blind solve for a Friday morning.

  9. Hi all – I suspect I’m not alone in trying ING in the third word, but then saw ENSIGN pretty quickly. I figured SITE would be in the answer, but had to write the letters to get the whole phrase.

  10. Just heard that Tommy Lasorda passed away. Definitely one of the good ones. RIP, Tommy. 🙏🏻⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Even this Giants fan is sorry to hear that. He always had a lot of fun with the rivalry, playing it up in a good-natured way, and of course so obviously bled Dodger Blue.

  11. Just learned about Lasorda while reading this group, very sad…. Tommy’s heart was on his sleeve and he bled Dodger Blue.
    Anagrams were quite doable today. INEPT is s great Jumble word imo. I couldn’t solve the puzzle but think it is a clever answer!
    The weather is awesome in SoCal and only one brush fire going on now, as far as I know……
