Good Monday morning my friends and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun!  Monday puzzles tend to be on the easier side and today was no exception.  All of the words came instantly today with no hesitation whatsoever.  The way that David paired the two S’s in SWISH may have thrown a few folks off so I’ll make that my pick for the most difficult anagram to solve.  Moving along to the cartoon, there were only a few visual clues to help with the solve.  The lightning bolt emblazoned on the gentleman’s hats as well as the side of the vehicle and the toolboxes were all I needed to see to figure out that they were electricians.  Reading the dialogue and sentence gave me more than enough for the solve and I wrote out the clue letters just to make sure I was correct.  Have a wonderful Monday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Good Morning, Everyone!   👏🏻 APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! 👏🏻

🎸 By looking at today’s cartoon, it’s very plain to see
That theater in the round offers such opportunity
For fans to get up close and hear performers they hold dear
And we can tell Jeff and Kathy are happy to be there.
I’m looking for Eye Candy that I mention everyday
There’s not much going on here, the cartoons mostly gray…
This audience got music, they had a real great time
We have our words, the puzzles done..and here’s your morning rhyme! 🎸

Have a great day, Everyone! 🎶”Listen to the Music…”🎶 🎸🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE TELEMARKETERS WOULD WORK UNTIL THEY —

DETDLLAAACIY = CALLED IT A DAY

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  The clue words were really fun solves with PAPAYA taking a split second longer than the rest to figure out.  David did an excellent job by leaving the 3 A’s together which made me think a little harder than I’m used to this early in the morning.  After solving the clue words, I noticed that it gave us two words starting with D and two words starting with P.  Moving along to the cartoon, we’re in an office where several different conversations are taking place.  The two men in the back are making plans to meet up after work while the two characters in the front are busy giving their sales pitch to a few more people.  I’ve never purchased anything from a telemarketer nor do I know of anyone that has.  I’m too polite to just hang up on them though and I usually say “no thank you” before ending the call.  Writing out the clue letters, I noticed that the three A’s from PAPAYA were back to make the letter layout a tad bit trickier.  I immediately saw DIALED and crossed out the letters, but nothing else seemed to fit.  Starting over and writing out the letters again, this time I saw CALLED and the rest just clicked for the finish.  Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!  🙂

CARTOON ANSWER:

PESKOOWL = SLOWPOKE

Good Monday morning everyone and happy Columbus Day! I hope you’re one of the lucky ones that has the day off from work, and that you’re enjoying a nice long weekend.  TATTOO was the only word to give me a few extra seconds of PAUSE today making it my pick for the most difficult anagram of the group.  Moving along to the cartoon, we see a man and a woman taking a walk in the woods.  Reading the dialogue and sentence, we discover that they’ve come to an abrupt hault due to a porcupine that is taking a stroll as well.  The letter layout kept the solution to this puzzle well hidden, but it was an easy solve overall.  POKE came into view immediately which left SLOW for the finish and a very cute pun!  Have a magnificent Monday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

CARTOON ANSWER:

IAGMOCCUHT = MAGIC TOUCH

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!  HERMIT was the only word that wasn’t visible right away.  At first I thought it was MITHER, but that was too “exotic” to work.  A few self-jumbles in the margin of the newspaper did the trick and it was time to move on to that cartoon goodness we all enjoy so much!  Earlier in the week I mentioned that Jeff would be appearing at New York Comic Con, so it’s only fitting that he drew himself at a show after his work was done for the day.  The show is called In and of Itself (inandofitselfshow.com) and is performed by Derek DelGaudio.  Here we have Derek on stage mesmerizing the crowd with one of his signature illusions.  Also in the audience is cartoonist and comedian Jason Chatfield, whose “Whaaat!” best describes the illusion he just witnessed.  The letter layout made the answer a quick solve with most of the letters for MAGIC being so close together.  Have a fantastic Friday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

CARTOON ANSWER:

AFTER AN EXHAUSTING DAY OF FRIGHTENING PEOPLE, THE LEGENDARY HORSEMAN WAS A —

DEYEEHSPLA = SLEEPY HEAD

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday!  If you had trouble with just one word this morning, my guess is that it was WHOOSH.  It caused me to dust off my trusty notepad and pen to do a little self-jumbling myself.  Coupling the O’s together did the trick and then I could finally treat myself to the cartoon!  Jeff is wasting no time getting into the Halloween spirit with a wonderful drawing of the Headless Horseman from author Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”.  Reading the dialogue and sentence, we learn that ol’ pumpkin head has just arrived home after a long day of terrorizing the locals.  I wasn’t able to blind solve this creepy cartoon, so I relied on the letter layout as well as the key words of tired and exhausting to help me gallop across the finish line.  The E’s were grouped together which allowed me to see SLEEP right away leaving the rest of the answer to flow naturally.  Have a thrilling Thursday and I’ll see you tomorrow!  🎃

GNTBAIEETANY = BATTING AN EYE

Good morning and happy Wednesday everyone!  The clue word choices were easily solved this morning.  DAINTY did take just a few extra seconds to figure out and would be my pick for the most difficult anagram to decipher.  Jeff brought us back to the ballpark once again for another exciting baseball themed cartoon where you can almost hear the crack of the bat and see the ball headed out of the park.  The coaches in the dugout are visibly delighted by the impressive swing while the batter maintains his equanimity and prepares to round the bases.  The final solution came instantly after reading the dialogue and sentence to complete this Wednesday morning gem.  Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

New York Comic Con is this weekend and Jumble cartoonist Jeff Knurek will be there!  Be sure to stop by and say hello if you plan on attending.  He’ll be offering this AMAZING collector’s edition puzzle book that is a must have for any Jumble fan.  I won’t be able to make it, but hopefully he’ll be offering it for sale on the Jumble website if he has any left.  Let us know if you go, and be sure to tell him you found out about it from your friends at JumbleAnswer.com!  🙂

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE FACT THAT THEY WERE TUBING DOWN THE RIVER NOW, MADE IT A —

REETENVNRCUT = CURRENT EVENT

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  The clue word choices were old favorites today with CUSTOM being the only word to slow me down a few seconds.  Pushing on to the cartoon, we’re lazily floating down the river with three people who appear very relaxed. Jeff made sure each of his characters had a unique prop (pictured below) to make the cartoon extra special.  The conversation between the two men centers around what their coworkers are up to back at the office, but wasn’t much help to me in the overall solve of the puzzle.  The sentence wasn’t much help either, so the solution took longer than usual to figure out.  The letter layout was very cryptic, so I split my letters into groups of vowels and consonants.  With some trial and error I came up with EVENT first followed by CURRENT to complete today’s game.  Looking at the cartoon afer the solve, you can clearly see the motion lines in the water which I overlooked as I paid more attention to the people and their conversation.  Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

THE RAILROAD HIRED A NEW CEO TO HELP GET ITS BUSINESS —

KAKCABCNTRO = BACK ON TRACK

Good Monday morning my friends and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun!  CEMENT was the only word that slowed me down this morning making it my pick for the most difficult word.  Moving along to the cartoon, we find ourselves in an office at the train station where a new CEO is being introduced to the rest of the executives.  The name “Sir Topham Hatt” seemed very familiar to me for some reason and I thought about how I knew it while preparing breakfast.  The answer hit me like a ton of bricks as I was spreading cream cheese on my bagel and I paused to smile with delight.  Sir Topam Hatt is the manager of the North Western Railway in the children’s cartoon “Thomas & Friends”.  If you look at the cartoon very closely, you can see Thomas the Tank Engine in the background with his face on the front of the engine!  My son was a huge fan of the cartoon when he was younger and it was really fun to see Jeff use these characters in his cartoon.  The solve was quick and took no effort after writing out the clue letters.  Have a wonderful Monday, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Today’s shoutout goes to Angela!  As many of you know, Angela is a regular contributor to the forum and fills in occasionally when life gets in the way and I’m unable to post the words.  She always posts a fun and pun-tastic write up for each puzzle that brings a smile to our faces every morning.  Many people don’t understand how difficult it is keeping this ship afloat and her tireless efforts and behind the scenes emails keep our ship sailing smoothly.  Thank you for all of your hard work, Angela, and I couldn’t do it without you.  You’ve become a close friend and here’s to many, many more years of Jumble fun!  🙂
