CARTOON ANSWER:

THE PALM READER SAVED A LOT OF MONEY, AND NOW RETIREMENT WAS —

TNHODSALACE = CLOSE AT HAND

UPDATE 8:55 am – I’ve been getting lots of email stating that the correct cartoon answer is CLOSE AT HAND so I’ve updated the answer and apologize for any inconvenience.  It also makes more sense than DEALT ON CASH.  I was misled by the pile of “cash”on the table but upon further inspection it looks like tarot cards.  Thanks for helping out my friends!

Good Thursday morning everyone!  Great clue word choices today with SPRAWL giving me just a hint of trouble.  We’ve seen APIECE before so it didn’t trick me this time.  $100 for a palm reading is too pricey for me if that’s the going rate.  I’m happier not knowing and I’ll just let my future unfold the way the big guy intended.  We had most of our repairs completed yesterday leaving two minor inconveniences.  I’m thankful for all of your positive posts and prayers as the storm really hit us hard.  My wife proved that she is the rock of our household by reminding me that it was just stuff that can be fixed or replaced.  The weekend is almost here and I’m hoping for a St. Patricks Day themed puzzle tomorrow.  Take care and be well!  🙂

FTNOOO = ON FOOT

Good afternoon everyone!  Sorry I’m late but we ran into some electrical issues after the storm and were without power for most of the night.  A few repairs have been made and everything is almost up and running again.  ORIOLE was the only word to stump me for a minute and the cartoon answer was a breeze.  Sorry to be brief but the next repairman comes in 20 minutes.  Take care and see you tomorrow!

CARTOON ANSWER:

AFTER WATCHING HIS OPPONENT MAKE SHOT AFTER SHOT, HE WAS GETTING A —

SNININFIKEGGLE = SINKING FEELING

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  David chose some pretty clever clue words today that I bet were quite challenging to the novice player.  GAGGLE took me a few extra seconds to figure out and then I moved on to the cartoon.  I can tell Jeff took some extra time with this piece as there were a few hidden extras!  The man in the middle has a “J” patch on his jacket and the man on the right has a “J” tattoo.  They must both belong to the Jumble gang which I hear is a pretty rough crowd!  The last detail was the word “JUMBLE” written   on the corner pocket.  The solution was a quick solve for me with SINKING jumping out at me leaving FEELING for the finish and giving us another great pun.  The blizzard is just about here and we have an inch or two of snow right now.  The winds are starting to pick up a bit and they are my real concern. The kids have no school and my wife decided to work from home today so we are making the best of it.  Enjoy your Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😊❄️

THE CHURCH’S NEW CHOIR DIRECTOR WAS WELL LIKED.  MEMBERS OF THE CHOIR —

SPNSSGRIAEA = SANG HIS PRAISES

Good Monday morning everyone and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun!  The clue words were a little more challenging than I would have expected for a Monday.  GARLIC was a great word choice that had me thinking for an extra few seconds but it was AGENDA that really had me stumped.  The cartoon was an easy solve but I wasn’t sure if it was SING or SANG.  I knew PRAISES was the second word leaving SANG for the finish.  I hope the time change wasn’t too rough on you.  I had trouble going to sleep and was groggy this morning but that just means I’ll sleep better tonight.  A MAJOR snow storm is headed our way with 12-18″ of snow expected.  I had some difficulty starting my generator, but after giving it some fresh fuel it started up like a charm!  Have a great Monday everyone and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😀❄️⛄️

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!  No trouble with the clue words or cartoon answer today so it was a pretty easy solve.  I’ve decided that from now on I’m going to just post the answers on the weekends and skip the commentary unless I find something very unusual within the puzzle.  Have a great day and enjoy your weekend!  😀

CARTOON ANSWER:

GITSOSRUTN = STRONG SUIT

Good Friday morning everyone!  The clue word choices were excellent this morning with BUTANE being the most difficult for me to decipher.  I self-jumbled the letters and figured it out on the third attempt.  Moving on to the cartoon, I read the dialogue and sentence and proceeded to attempt a blind solve.  Nothing came immediately so I wrote down the clue letters and saw the answer right away.  The pun was hilarious and it was a fine finish to another great week of puzzles.  Enjoy your Friday and I’ll see you tomorrow for the Saturday edition.

TOLAT = TOTAL

RHODC = CHORD

PANIDU = UNPAID

HESBLU = BUSHEL

CARTOON ANSWER:

TTCOIDBHE = BOTCHED IT

Happy Thursday everyone!  I finally encountered the challenge that I was waiting for all week.  David chose excellent clue words, and it was the last two that had me stumped for quite some time.  I managed to get BUSHEL before UNPAID and they always look so easy after you solve them.  I’ve never played bocce so I was behind the eight ball before I even started to solve the cartoon.  Reading the dialogue and sentence I wasn’t too sure what the answer might be.  I wrote down CRACKED IT on a whim hoping that CRACKED was bocce lingo.  With all of the clue letters written down, I figured IT was the 2-letter word leaving BOTCHED to be deciphered in a snap.  Jeff drew a sign for PALM CAY prominently in the upper right hand corner of the cartoon so I did a quick web search.  It looks like Palm Cay is a development in the Bahamas so perhaps “Russ” is a friend or relative that resides there.  Looking at the master plan of the community, I found tennis and basketball courts but no mention of bocce.  Have a great day my friends and I’ll see you tomorrow.  🙂

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE MAGICIAN REPAIRED HIS FAULTY PROP, AND FIXING IT —

HIDCERKTDIT = DID THE TRICK

Good Wednesday morning everyone!  The first three clue words came to me instantly with DILUTE giving me just a few seconds of pause.  With all of the clue words solved, I attempted to complete the puzzle without the aid of the letters.  CUT and SAW were the two words that came to mind but I was at a loss for the 5-letter word.  Writing out the letters, I saw TRICK immediately followed by THE and DID for the finish.  Hopefully this puzzle didn’t turn you into an angry magician and make you pull your hare out!  Take care and I’ll see you you tomorrow.  😉

CARTOON ANSWER:

PRFEIDU = FIRED UP

Good Monday morning my friends and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun!  Mr. Hoyt gave us some challenging clue words today with INLAND being the most difficult for me to solve.  I did manage to solve the cartoon without the clue letters which always makes me feel good.  With all the clue words solved I double checked my answer to make sure that everything checked out and it did leaving us with a stinky pun.  It appears as though the chef has one heck of a fire going!  I hope he didn’t use too much fire starting liquid as it always makes the food taste disgusting.  Come to think of it, I haven’t used my charcoal grill in years because it’s too much of a pain to get going.  Gas is so much quicker and easier but the taste just isn’t the same.  I noticed some hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken on his side table so it looks like a tasty meal is on the way.  Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😀 🍔

SLYFINMAIWEGT = TIME WAS FLYING

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday to you!  MOSAIC really slowed me down today and it took me a good 2-minutes to finally figure it out.  With all of the clue words solved it was straight to the cartoon.  FLY was definitely on my mind as I read the sentence and dialogue so I wrote it down and moved on.  50 years had me thinking of TIME and it was in the clue letters so I wrote that down as well.  SINAWG was left and I found WAS right away and added ING to FLY for the finish.  We had a great day at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts yesterday and the place was empty!  We took our time exploring all of the beautiful artwork and here are two of my favorite pieces, a Pollock and Monet.  Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Happy Friday everyone!  No trouble at all solving the clue words this morning, and I even managed to get the cartoon answer before starting.  I really liked the cartoon — especially the man in the back with the bead of sweat on his forehead.  The instructor sure means business and you can see the fear in everyone’s eyes.  We’re off to Boston for the day so an easy puzzle worked out well.  Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you tomorrow. 😁🔪

THE TWIN PARAMEDICS WERE —

WHECREOTTSUE = “TWO” THE RESCUE

Ypahp dTshyaur neereyov!  The clue words were a cinch this morning and I don’t recall seeing any of them used recently which is always a treat.  The puzzles have been relatively easy this week so when I saw the cartoon answer had a word in quotes I figured we were in for a challenge.  After reading the cartoon and dialogue, the big clue was “twin paramedics”.  TWO was well hidden but quickly found to put me well on my way to a super fast solve.  THE jumped out at me for the other 3-letter word leaving RESCUE for the finish.  I think I’ll try my hand at the crossword this morning after solving this Jumble in a flash.  The creator of the one in my newspaper is Eugene Sheffer and I was curious if we all have the same puzzle?  Be sure to let me know and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😊🚑
