CARTOON ANSWER:
AFTER WATCHING HIS OPPONENT MAKE SHOT AFTER SHOT, HE WAS GETTING A —
SNININFIKEGGLE = SINKING FEELING
Good Tuesday morning everyone! David chose some pretty clever clue words today that I bet were quite challenging to the novice player. GAGGLE took me a few extra seconds to figure out and then I moved on to the cartoon. I can tell Jeff took some extra time with this piece as there were a few hidden extras! The man in the middle has a “J” patch on his jacket and the man on the right has a “J” tattoo. They must both belong to the Jumble gang which I hear is a pretty rough crowd! The last detail was the word “JUMBLE” written on the corner pocket. The solution was a quick solve for me with SINKING jumping out at me leaving FEELING for the finish and giving us another great pun. The blizzard is just about here and we have an inch or two of snow right now. The winds are starting to pick up a bit and they are my real concern. The kids have no school and my wife decided to work from home today so we are making the best of it. Enjoy your Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow! 😊❄️

Good morning. Unable to do puzzle as paper never came. Heavy winds maybe four inches of snow now hail and rain. Stay well.
I miraculously received my paper today but chose to do it online instead. Be well, Paul! 😀
Thank you Paul
Thank you so much!!
I live in the Niagara Region in Ontario Canada. We are getting the snow that is coming your way. Have gone from green grass & double digit tempertures to wind & plenty of snow. Mther Natire’s last act!
Let’s hope this is it! 😊🤞🏻
To those who may not get their paper (due to whatever reason), your paper may have a digital version available to view if you have a delivery subscription. I only get the paper Fri, Sat, and Sun but still have access to the digital version.
I’ve been reading this blog for months and really enjoy the posts.
Thanks for reminding everyone, Alex! Glad you enjoy the blog my friend. 👍🏻
Hi! Got cartoon answer before words, none of which gave me trouble. Enjoyed GAGGLE as in gaggle of geese. Memorized a bunch of those once like pod of whales, pride of lions, etc but can’t remember a really odd one. Mike, enjoyed hearing all the details you found which I can’t see.
Looking forward to your snow pictures. Enjoy your snow day. See you tomorrow!
Enjoy the day, Lelia!
No problem with the clue words or puzzle this morning. As always enjoyed your astute observations of the drawing, Mike. Hope you stay warm and dry. It’s supposed to be 80 here today in San Francisco, unseasonably warm for us. Have a good day.
Just got in from shoveling — again. 80 sounds phenomenal right about now. Enjoy it for me, Betty! 😉
I have also been reading this blog for several months, and I enjoy the friendly banter. I solved the clue words rather quickly today – perhaps because gaggle is a frequently used word in my house. We are visited by 2 distinct gaggles of Canadian geese every year. We refer to them as gaggle A and gaggle B. As long as they stay off our patio, they are welcome visitors.
I couldn’t come up with the puzzle answer. Tomorrow is a new day and a new jumble!
Greetings from the MS Gulf Coast.
Hi Marlene and thanks for taking the time to post! I hear geese overhead in the fall but they never seem to stop in my area as far as I can tell. I don’t recall seeing gaggle used in a puzzle before so it was a refreshing challenge. Enjoy your day and be sure to chime in again soon. 😊
19.5?! Wow!!! The winds are very strong but the snow is wet and heavy here on the NH coast. My snow stick registers just about 6″ so far…
Today was an easy one for me — if my paper doesn’t come I do the puzzle online….then I can actually see all those fun details you mention.
