  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🌌 GALAXYTAKEN FROM THE GREEK WORD FOR MILK…🌌

🎶You’re clear OUT OF THIS WORLD…when I’M LOOKING AT YOU…🎶…”Out of This World” – Tony Bennett 1960  https://tinyurl.com/3zfveyc7

🌌I wonder if a SLOSH-like sound is made up there is space,

Is there OUTAGE of all noise…as things up there have chase?…

The FINAL Frontier it is called…UNWISE I know to shun…

Today it’s Milky Way we see…and yes…ONE OF ITS “SUNS”…🌌

In the interest of full disclosure…Space-related things are very much out of my ORBIT…FAR as I’m concerned…Milky Way?…Except for the candy?…It’s all GREEK to me…

So…Today…Space…And we’re dealing with the Milky Way Galaxy https://tinyurl.com/46sy7rvm  as a parent. Yes, it does contain our Solar System, so the reference isn’t all that FAR-fetched of course…but I’m so in the DARK about Space that even though today’s puzzle answer came to me immediately, I guess that I’m just GALACTOSE intolerant when it COMET to these sort of themes…But as far as our solve goes…in all SIRIUS-ness, I’m well aware that “Our local star” as mentioned in our question, is the SUN…And with our dialogue, especially the “Thanks, POP?… In relation to The Milky Way as a “PARENT? …Our SUN…is ONE OF ITS “SUNS”… https://tinyurl.com/yk2znys5  …And David couldn’t have PLANET any better…He really SATELLITE with this one…A STELLAR performance…

Jeff’s 💎Gems? The various forms of matter in the sky, and the adorable little smile on the Sun’s face…Such DADication…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who recently told us he was thinking of becoming an astronomer. Since it came right OUT OF THE BLUE, we couldn’t help but ask him why the sudden interest…and he said that his parents had always told him that the SKY was the limit…and he figured it was about time he took it SIRIUSly…But knowing him as well as we do, our first reaction was …what PLANET is this guy on? I mean, he actually thinks GALILEO is just 🎶 a poor boy from a poor family…🎶 (IYKYK)…😉 Anyway, he started looking into it, and this is what he began telling us…He saw some kind of new walker, designed by NASA, so he bought it for his Grandmother who has trouble ambulating. He said she likes it and is getting used to it….To hear him tell it…”One small step for Nan”. He wanted to really experience a solar eclipse, so he thought to use a COLANDER…To hear him tell it…he STRAINED his eyes…And that when his son asked him to explain the solar eclipse, he said, “No SUN”…Then his wife, tired of him just reading about things, and bending her ear, told him to get a TELESCOPE…To hear him tell it…he’s LOOKING INTO IT…And lastly, he said he entered an art competition for budding astronomers, where he submitted a photo of Orion’s BELT that he had found in one of his books and enhanced….To hear him tell it…He didn’t win, but he did get a CONSTELLATION prize…but that it was mostly a WAIST of time…I could go on and on…but I’m sure you’ve gotten my drift by now…He’s so LOST IN SPACE that we had to let him know that he’s just full of HOT AIR..and until he gets SIRIUS, we’re tired of listening to all his nonsense…while he goes through another PHASE…I swear, he’s a LUNAtic…So we finally had to tell him that like Copernicus, he has to realize that the world does NOT REVOLVE around him…🌌🙋🏻‍♀️

    ….And a Shout 🗣️Out to David…All new anagrams today… 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️The sound of a SLOSH was the FINAL warning before the power OUTAGE…and it was probably UNWISE to reach for the newborn puppy…as the mother was very protective of ONE OF ITS SONS…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️ UNWISE to not have backup, it’s reached the FINAL straw,
The OUTAGE now a problem, as the storm pounds at the door
He hears the SLOSH of water, as the dog’s barking begun…
The Mom’s scared and protective…mostly of ONE OF ITS SONS…🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. 🔭 Are there SLOSH sounds when things pass in space?
    Or a FINAL OUTAGE of light’s pace?…
    I’m def UNWISE for sure,
    With our topic du jour…
So I’m feeling a bit out of place…🔭

🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not big on the moon and the stars,
Same with Venus and Pluto or Mars…
Sure I know of their worth,
    And importance to earth…
I just don’t branch my thoughts out that far…🤷🏻‍♀️

🌌 So today Milky Way and the Sun,
Had the solve soon as I had begun…
    But my interest not strong,
    Can’t relate to the throng…
Who care for it second to none…🌌

    ⭐️As a Galaxy, Milky Way’s known,
To house tons of stars far from home…
    And we see here today
With the Sun it holds sway…
Since the Sun’s not the average star clone…⭐️

    👏🏻👏🏻 So I give today’s puzzle it’s due,
Even though nothing I do pursue…
    ‘Cause the wit’s a delight,
    ‘Bout what’s ever in flight…
And what we may discover anew…👏🏻👏🏻

  5. Angela was really on a roll this morning, discussing her friend. I’ll have to think about that GALILEO pun. ONE OF HIS came to me right out of the starting gate….thought for a moment and SUNS/SONS instantly appeared. Cute puzzle today. Terry

  6. Good morning. Breezed through the words but bombed on the cartoon answer. Even after the letters were down my mind was on a different path and when I looked up the answer my reaction was “Of course”. It was so simple how could I have not get it. Enjoyed the song which was the first time hearing it and loved your post Angela. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. I was in good company this morning given the number of failures in the cartoon puzzle, having the letters from the anagrams but no luck with the cartoon. I liked your song reference, as I’m a Tony Bennet fan,and the cream sickle day reminded me of my getting them from the good humor truck as a kid. Chuck.

    • Tk you, Professor. I’m a big Tony Bennett fan, too…And I still enjoy those Creamsicles! 🌌🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Good morning. I guess I need more coffee.
I am like a majority of the people this morning as I got through the anagrams and then couldn’t get the cartoon solution.
I loved your puns Angela but, I didn’t get the Galileo one so I had to look it up. Very Good 😉 You taught me something today. Thank you ! Have a great day, Stan

    • YW, Stan and tk you. Galileo …I’m referring to “Bohemian Rhapsody”…Are we on the same page? 😉🌌🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Yes, that is what I looked up and learned before I commented this morning. Very good indeed on your part.

        • 👏🏻👏🏻, Kudos, Stan…That part of the song always pops into my head…🎶 And tk you…🌌🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. As for me, I’m a big fan of space

How celestial bodies found their place

How planets stick to their orbit

    I love to absorb it

It’s the sort of thing I embrace!

I could go on and on forever

The names of those bodies, so clever

    From Latin and Greek

    Just add to the mystique

Do I tire of them – no never!

As for Galileo – I’ve been at Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa, Angela! A very busy place.

    Helen

    • 🤷🏻‍♀️Life has always been ‘bout different strokes,
How they vary amongst different Folks,
      While Space surely is there,
      I’m a devil-may-care…
Just no deep thoughts it ever provokes…🤷🏻‍♀️

🔠 Interesting, yes, I can agree,
For the Latin and Greek within me…
      But I’m more into words,
      And the roots they’ve preserved…
      So the names…clearly something I see…🔠

      🪐 And…while study of Space…not my thing,
The mystique, the unknown that it brings?…
      To some…yes, it’s all that,
      But I don’t come to bat…
So its praises not something I sing…🪐

🌎 Yet our puzzle today with its mirth,
      I appreciate for what it’s worth…
      Yes, its whimsy abounds,
      But I favor the ground…
Hence I’m more at home right here on Earth…🌎

      🎶 Galileo though…my pun’s intent,
      Was to Queen’s song…it’s all that I meant…
Just to show how my friend,
Can go off the deep end…
Lack of knowledge, with him? Such extent! 🎶

  10. I guessed, for the answer, ONE OF HIS (or Her) SUNS. ITS didn’t occur to me. Oops. After solving the words, ITS was it.
