It looks like they’ll go indoors, play RUMMY…pass some time, And maybe it’ll let up…while daylight is still prime Right now…no other option…no tennis game they’ll catch… Comes down to Mother Nature?…Against her they’re NO MATCH…🎾
…A REAL case of…Game, Set…MATCH…
So…Today, two friends, ACE and DUECE, looking for a Tennis MATCH…but their game’s been stymied…And it’s through no FAULT of their own…Mother Nature’s decided to be a DAMPENER, and SHOT their plans right out of the water…no pun intended…Yep, they’ve been hit with a GRAND SLAM…And ACE, knowing that four out of FIVE times that he’s SET to play, has come prePAIRed, bringing an umbrella. But for DUECE, eyes WIDE in disappointment, it’s a SHOT to the GUT, and he doesn’t DIG it at all, and of course hates to LET it go, since he’s been VOLLEYing for the game all week…Yes, the town’s needed rain, but talk about a BACKHANDED compliment…Why couldn’t it HOLD off for just one more day?…But, it is what it is, and right now not even a HAIL MARY is going to help…So they may as well take a BREAK, WALKOVER to the clubhouse, HEAD INSIDE, grab a bowl of CHIPS and BREADSTICKS, or a BAGEL and HOT DOG…maybe even TIE one on, and just HOLD their peace…Because compared to Mother Nature?….They’re simply NO MATCH… https://tinyurl.com/tbyxphbs …And while I could go on and on about it ALL, I think I’ve SERVRD the subject well…and it’s time I make the CALL and PULL THE TRIGGER on this easy, breezy one today…I’m DECIDING that I’ve made my POINT…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, an avid tennis player. His fiancée, A-NET, who he met in the MIDDLE OF A TENNIS COURT, left him, claiming the COURTship was going on way too long without him making a commitment…that he had a RACQUET going…and she felt LOVE just meant NOTHING to him. And although we felt sorry for him, we all had to agree that he could be obnoxious at times, with all his BACK-HANDED compliments and the like. Truth is, he just has too big an ego…swearing that he has no FAULTS…Anyway, AGASSI right through him …he’s NO MATCH for me. …And it was never up to me to put any FEDERER his cap. …His whole act?…Just NADAL it was cracked up to be…🎾🙋🏻♀️

🤷🏻♂️Mother Nature it see seems she has lost, Compassion…and at a great cost… We’re dealing with heat, And she’s hardly discreet… Seems boundaries lately have been tossed…🤷🏻♂️
🔥 Being outdoors lately takes a toll, Such intense heat is hard to behold… Playing tennis?…it’s tough, (Rather be in the buff)… As our thoughts can’t help but long for cold…🔥
💦 And the rains…they have come pretty strong, Days of rain have gone on way too long… Summer this year?…A bust, Mother Nature?.,, She must… Just be angry…and so us she’s cussed…💦
🤦🏻♂️But what respite do we have…alas… She’s been acting with such lack of class.., Weather’s gone down the drain, And we’re left to remain… Simply taking a really hard pass…🤦🏻♂️
