I have a friend whose family are bakers…going back many a generation…He was definitely born and BREAD into the business…
So…Today…4 AM at “The Bun Also Rises Bakery”…where we met our couple, Stewart GRAINger, and his wife, Faye BUNaway…KNEADing to get their day off to a good start. It’s EARLY, the bread’s in the oven…and as it RISES, the aroma is helping to WAKE Stewart up…while we hear Faye say that she wishes the YEAST she can do is sleep in one of these days…It’s definitely not a job for LOAFers, not the easiest of professions, but the DOUGH is good, and so far they’ve managed to RAISE their family quite well…And as for our solve?…With 4 AM in our question (= EARLY) and baking bread (= RISING) being mentioned there and in Stew’s dialogue? This one was definitely easy to DIGEST…The loaves were…EARLY RISERS…https://tinyurl.com/3z2w74h9 …And we’ve definitely RISEN to the occasion with this one, with BARLEY BAKING a sweat…Nope, no KNEAD for any help at all here…Day 4…and we’re definitely on a ROLL…

Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, PITA, who’s a pretty nice guy, one might say the SALT of the earth, but nothing like his BREADten….because he always seems to be going against the GRAIN, and he’s BARLEY able to keep his head above WATER…OVEN DOUGH he’s deeply in debt…To him, life’s just one big rooting’-GLUTEN RYEd…TASTE in point…He recently was let go from a bakery, (even DOUGH business was on the RISE), for LOAFing aROUND too much. They told him he just didn’t fit the MOLD. And. CRUST me, he really KNEADED the job. Sometimes I can’t help but lose my patience WHEAT him, and I just want to CHALLAH at him, to be more HANDS ON with things…that he BUTTER learn to be more responsible, and KNOT WHEAT until things start CRUMBling all aROUND him and he ends up TOAST.Believe me, I’ve tRYEd for so long to talk some sense into him. I’ve cajoled, even BAGUETTEd….But no matter how I SLICE it, it still falls on deaf TIERS…I guess he just DOUGHn’t want to hear NAAN of it, because PITA simply keeps ROLLin’ with the punches. WATER you gonna do… More FLOUR to him, I suppose…You know what they say…To each his PONE…🥖🙋🏻♀️

I have to have a glass of lemonade to quench my thirst , cause I couldn’t get the jumble and 2 of the anagrams , but suzie got the anagrams of CREST and FIRMLY, then read the sentence like she like she wrote it with EARLY RISERS ! I am not thirsty anymore ! This was a good one and Angela , first time I heard your song and it was really nice ! And your friend , with all your play on words is really entertaining !
