So…Today, somewhere out on the Atlantic Ocean…And I doubt one needs to make a connection between GADUS https://tinyurl.com/2vvypkjm and COD fish in order to solve this easy, breezy one today. Besides having Gadus in our question, we’re also given “50-pound” (=“OH MY”), dialogue attesting to the amazing size of the fish, the surprise EXCLAMATIONS of both men, “big”, “whale”…and not to mention the tell-tail quotation marks letting us know there’s a pun in play…It couldn’t get any more REEL…The fishermen said…”OH MY “COD” …https://tinyurl.com/3ywse5er …And as for us solving? COD it have been any easier? …No WEIGH…And nothing TIDE us down today…We had this one HOOKed up in no LINE at all…

Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who unfortunately is pretty much a faiLURE when it comes to fishing…In fact, his wife, AnNET, recently told him she’s so tired of him spending so much time out on the water and coming back empty-handed each time, besides never lifting a FINger to help her around the house…And she’s hardly KOI about it anymore…She’s definitely HADDOCK with him…And despite us trying to SCHOOL him about the fact that he’s going to be up the CREEK without a PADDLE, he still continues to OCTOPI his time fishing…He’s HOOKed for sure…no TROUT about it. And as TEMPURA-mental as he is, it’s hard to even get a LINE in when he goes off on one of his tangents…But to be honest, I’m so tired of telling him to let MINNOW when he’s not in such a CRABby mood…He’s KRILLing me, and I’m at the point where I’m not SQUIDding around anymore…Trust me…I’m this 🤏🏻 close to telling him to go to sHELL…just for the HALIBUT…🎣🙋🏻♀️

An easy Jumble day with only 7 letters for the cartoon solution, though the 3 lettered ‘pray’ on words with cod rather than God, was a neat play on words in the cartoon Jumble. As far as root beer float day, one of my favorite ice cream treats. Chuck.
