  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🏛JUST ROMAN AGROUND 🏛

🎶 Baby, don’t go away, no no….Don’t you hear now, don’t you hear now…What I say, what I say…Give me time, give me time, I’m gonna make your love as strong as mine…But I know ROME WASN’T BUILT in a day. Don’t you hear me telling you that…ROME wasn’t built in a day…🎶 “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day” – Sam Cooke 1964 https://tinyurl.com/yy3ecfxr

🏛 The public square, the place to be for one to run one’s MOUTH,
Opinions, thoughts and arguments…they all were tossed about…
While some grew WEARY from the talk, some others FIRMLY knew,
That discussion was the only way to govern fair and true…
(And Romans had no COFFEE, instead opting for wine,
So I’ll not bother rhyming it…just leave it in that line)…
And from these public meetings from which others then would stem…
They introduced the world to this…Roman FORUM FOR ‘EM! 🏛

“A solution to the puzzle”! Gotta love that one! That Jeff…HAIL get us every time!

So…Ancient Rome. Circa 330 something…And the Emperor, https://tinyurl.com/mpkc6w74 Magnus Maximus, has come to MEET his subjects in the Square…Well…actual the rectangular plaza, known as the Roman FORUM, https://tinyurl.com/4sjtt38x Forum Romanum, to make PUBLIC his findings…About what? I have no idea…it’s a puzzle to me too…And I’m definitely not ROMAN around the Internet trying to find out…I’m just really not up TOGA down that road today…But suffice to say that as far as these meetings went, the area was definitely a great FORUM ( https://tinyurl.com/3rdykt6y ) FOR ‘EM…

And as for the surroundings..if you’re into this sort of thing… here’s an overview with identifying numbers and all… https://tinyurl.com/yrtwt7rs

The Gems? Atop the Pantheon, https://tinyurl.com/46nzca4f under the Signature Jumble “J” encircled in a square, we can see Jeff striking a pose, palm leaf in hand, while David is shown creating a Jumble. To Jeff’s left is a man seemingly desperately trying to get their attention, looking somewhat despondent over not being able to solve the Boggle Brain Buster. And at the other end, a woman can be seen lying on a chaise doing the Jumble. And way, way off to the right, if you look real closely, is what appears to be Trajan’s Column… https://tinyurl.com/2fkfx4vs .. While back on the ground, the toga clasp of the man at left shows Maximus’s profiled image, while Maximus’s clasp looks to be the Jumble J. And a woman is seen climbing the stairs…There’s definitely a LATIN in our cartoon today!

    So…There you have it Folks…Factum! Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a little Roman humor…A Roman walks into a bar…holds up 2 fingers✌🏻 and says…”I’ll have 5 beers”…Give it a minute… 🏛🙋🏻‍♀️

    I STAND FOR UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦
…AND I STAND FOR REFORM IN AMERICA 💔🇺🇸

  2. 🦷 Over COFFEE they discussed the new MOUTH guards and the possibility of holding a FORUM FOR THEM, but some of the WEARY dentists were FIRMLY against it…🦷

🤷🏻‍♂️The whole group now grew WEARY, the COFFEE didn’t help,
No one was opening their MOUTH…no sighs, no cries, no yelp…
Both sides were FIRMLY set in stone, no further haw and hem
The last resort now had to be to hold a FORUM FOR THEM…🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. A concept that’s simple and great
    An organized place for debate
    That was the forum
    With its rules and decorum
To discuss weighty matters of state!

  4. Oh my goodness ! Todays jumble was fun and smooth ! I got all the anagrams and was not WEARY at all ! I’ll start the day off with my usual cup of COFFEE to the MOUTH ! Then I FIRMLY a got the jumble ! When I saw all the F’s , R’s , and M’s , the first word to describe the Roman’s holding their meeting in the public square was FORUM , then what was left , I was happy FOREM ! Happy thirsty-Thursday ! Everyone have a great day and Angela , the Roman’s really liked your song !!!!!

  5. Out of the starting gate…thought my blind solve moment would be PLACE FOR’UM. That didn’t happen after I started the anagrams and letters didn’t fit. COFFEE was a toughie. Great Sam Cook song…what a smooth voice. As usual, will have to go back and re-study cartoon to find out all the finer points, as dear Angela pointed out !!

  6. Good morning. I had an easy morning of it today. All before even a cup of coffee. First time hearing the Sam Cooke song. Did they play his song on the East Coast. Can’t remember ever hearing it. Maybe because it wasn’t a hit like his others. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe. Think I’ll go back and check all your treasures Angela.

  7. 🗞 When in Rome do as the Romans do,
And we see here where the words ring true…
The men meet at the place,
That was deemed their home base…
And where Maximus brought solves anew…🗞

🏛 Gathering where decisions were made,
Men of Rome had it made in the shade…
Each day there’d be a quorum,
That would meet at the Forum…
Where the business at hand would be weighed…🏛

🗣The phrase went…”Romans lend me your ears”
As Marc Antony called to his peers…
    And the simple refrain,
    All through time has sustained…
‘Oft repeated for years upon years…🗣

🤷🏻‍♀️ Top the Pantheon…what do we see?
    Roman characters A B C D…
Dave and Jeff to be sure,
    Part of whimsy du jour…
But Jeff’s posing? The why eludes me! 🤷🏻‍♀️

🏛 All in all, it’s a cartoon quite grand,
    Telling us ‘bout original land….
    Roman days now long gone,
    But tourists? Still a throng…
Going to see the ruins that now stand…🏛

  8. Good morning Jumblers, fun jumble today – I didn’t have any trouble with the words and the puzzle but, pressing the aromatic “COFFEE” to my “MOUTH” after a “WEARY” night’s sleep, I “FIRMLY” concluded my dreams were a “FORUM FOR EM” to keep me from sound sleep ! So until tomorrow – have a sunny day !

  9. Easy solve this morning. Really cute puzzle. I’m always amazed at how much detail Jeff can pack into a small space. Thanks for pointing out all the gems, Angela. Have a good day all !
