🔨He made a DRAFT of plans he’d use, so nothing FISHY there, He’s always been a CLEVER man….a fact that’s very clear How SINFUL what we’re seeing,.. though Kathy somehow predicted.. That if Jeff took this on alone? A wound’d be “SHELF”-INFLICTED…🔨
…And he was doing so a BANG-up job too…
So…Today…The home of our illustrious artist, Jeff, and his lovely bride, Kathy. And Jeff’s taken it upon himSHELF to build a bookcase…But WOODn’t you know it…he’s injured himSHELF…And yes, it’s a “SHELF”-INFLICTED wound…https://tinyurl.com/2x6xz9ky And Kathy, not one known to say, “I told you so”…can’t HELP herSHELF this time…she NAILED it from the start…Yes, most likely no hARM WOOD have come to Jeff if only he had thought the HOLE thing through…and PEGged Kathy as a helpmate…But as far as help goes, I doubt many of you WOOD need any with this ASHy, breezy puzzle today. The SHELF is right there in PLANE sight, and if the dialogue was any more leading, it WOOD bite you…Plus, CEDAR quotation marks? They definitely WHITTLEd it down for us…So if you STUDied it all well, did your LEVEL best, and used the solving TOOLS I’ve AWLways instructed you to, you should know the DRILL by now…And there’s definitely no reason to PINE over or SCREW up with this one…We came, we SAW, we conquered…PLANK you very much…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The shelf pegs strewn across the floor, the instructions lying near the hammer, the throbbing open wound, and his New York T-shirt…
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who worked as a carpenter for a while. He started off with a BANG, but being who he is, he soon got BOARD, and began to SCREW up. And as to be expected, his boss SAW what was going on, NAILED him CUTTING corners, and fired him. So now, once again, he’s LUMBERing around, PINEing over it. You’d think he WOOD RAILy have learned his lesson by now, but if you ask me, he’s got a few SCREWS loose…He can be such a TOOL, and I’m beginning to think he’ll never STRAIGHTen out…and I’m KNOT just being mean here…He just can’t MEASURE up, and if he doesn’t BUILD himSHELF a better reputation, his life might just fall aPART soon…So I had to tell him to get the fairyDUST out of his eyes and NAIL something down, because I’m RAILy tired of HAMMERING away at the same old story…SEAMthing’s gotta give…🔨🙋🏻♀️

📚The first DRAFT of his novel was very CLEVER…dealing with something FISHY, perhaps SINFUL even, about a man and a SELF-INFLICTED wound…📚
🤦🏻♀️She thought it rather FISHY that a DRAFT was coming in, She swore she had been CLEVER…installed windows hardly thin… Be SINFUL to waste money…air-condition’s not restricted… But could there be a window leak?…She’s now stressed…SELF-INFLICTED…🤦🏻♀️

Wow ! TGIF ! Everything you said about Jeff and his wife and the quotation marks and all the other descriptions of this jumble , Angela was really right on ! I saw it all , and the first thing I thought of was a blind solve cause it came right to me before I even saw all the letters !! One of the best jumbles I’ve seen ! Great end of the work week , so let’s go Saturday ! Everyone have a great Friday !!!!

A pause on the ‘sinful’ anagram but then the cartoon was a near blind solve. On another note, today is the birthday of my bride of almost 56 years, Happy Birthday Linda! Chuck.

First of all, what’s a KOUIGN ?? For the puzzle, SHELF was pretty much a given and INFLICTED followed easily. Stumbled on SINFUL, but it finally unscrambled itself. Interesting post, as always, Angela….thanks for posting. Terry

Good morning. Oops I did it again. I got the words and couldn’t come up with the blind solve so I put down the letters and finally came up with inflicted but couldn’t make a word with FHLRS. I gave up and saw the answer was self. I put the r down instead of the e for the last word. It’s not the first time and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Great song choice Angela and a mother load of puns which brought a big smile. Until tomorrow take care.

Fun Friday Jumble. The anagrams were easy but, I was intimidated by the number of letters in the second word of the cartoon solution. I stayed with it and found the letters for Shelf and then it came together for me. Great post today Angela. I was smiling the whole time as I was reading. Thank you for helping start my Friday. Stan

The DRAFT was CLEVER, but FISHY and SINFUL.
At first, I had no clue for the answer. I then saw self, which led to SHELF, and the long second word was obviously INFLICTED. What looked at first glance very hard was easy!

Yes, it was easy, Dennis! 👍🏻🔨🙋🏻♀️
