Good Morning, Everyone…😂 BRITTY, BRITTY, BANG BANG! 😂
🎶 Theme From The Benny Hill Show …”Yakkety Sax”…🎶 – Boots Randolph 1963 https://tinyurl.com/4jfaax2e
😂His comedy so on the edge, quite SINFUL truth be told,
A slight veil, like what GAUZE would be, draped skits ever so bold…
(OBLONG? It’s just not making it… today the word that’s cut…
Like censors did to lots of jokes of Hill’s …calling them smut)
‘Bout girls, a cop, a HIKER…his comedy precarious…
Yes, Benny pushed the envelope…and yes, he was “HILL-ARIOUS”! 😂
Between his image on the old-time console TV screen, the photo of the late Queen Elizabeth above it, the mention of his first name, Benny, in our question…the dialogue, “CRACKS me up”, …”over 30 years”…and the quotation marks SHOWing us that there’s a PLAY-on-words to BE SEEN…there’s nothing SKETCHy about this one..you have to know where we’re headed…
Benny Hill, https://tinyurl.com/2p8z47h8 the irreverent comic genius…and his show… https://tinyurl.com/mr4xcbn lasted so many years because it was…”HILL-ARIOUS”! …And it’s time for a commercial break…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe …And in the words of Benny Hill… “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you could do today…because if you do it today, and you like it…you can do it again tomorrow.”…Just like the Jumble! 😂🙋🏻♀️

🤦🏻♀️As far as fashion statements went, the GAUZE, OBLONG scarf that was suggested for the everyday HIKER was deemed both SINFUL and HILARIOUS…🤦🏻♀️
🤦🏻♀️The HIKER felt the weather was SINFUL in a sense,
The GAUZE-like feeling of the air made her a little tense…
She took her OBLONG backpack and emptied items various
Realizing that to hike today just came down to HILARIOUS…🤦🏻♀️
😱 Pushing envelopes definitely his thing,
Benny Hill was a Comedy King…
Nothing then off the table,
Back then he was able…
The bawdiness into homes bring…😱
😉 With a twinkle in old Benny’s eye,
He was able to get by and by…
Cutting edge for the times,
With his off-colored rhymes…
It seemed no set of rules did apply…😉
👍🏻 Most times with him it just took a look,
With that mischievous smile a ‘crook…
Innuendo amok,
Benny definitely had pluck…
And with laughter his audience shook…👍🏻
💃🏻Women played a big part in his acts,
And with Benny you hardly saw tact…
Such irreverence was shown,
Comedy for those grown…
‘Twasn’t G-rated…that was a fact! 💃🏻
🤷🏻♂️Benny Hill…would he get by today?
Would the censors allow him to say?
What he did way back then,
Before “woke” did begin?
Not most likely…but oh how he slayed! 🤷🏻♂️
It’s thirsty Thursday and my thirst was quenched with an almost a pass on this one ! I had trouble with the last anagram , I felt so SINFUL ! Got the rest ! The anagrams was a real thinker I had forgotten the Benny Hill show , that I used to watch and really liked ! And the quotation marks on HILL was a gimme ! I really had to put my thinking cap on to get this one ! I feel a little guilty cause I had to cheat a little and it all fell into place , but it was a good one and I’ll sit on the missed it bench and sing Yakkety Sax ! Everyone have a great thirsty Thursday !!
OMG….one of my favorite TV shows…EVER. So over the top and politically uncorrect. And yes…wouldn’t fly today (but maybe that’s a good thing). Saw Benny Hill on TV in the mid-70’s while stationed in the Air Force in England. So an easy blind solve this morning, with anagrams to boot. Think I’ll peruse YouTube and catch a video or two today. And, of course…the perfect song !!
The manic tempo definitely fit the man so well! 😂🙋🏻♀️
This is not the type of Jumble I like. It has an obscure celebrity reference, something that infests many crossword puzzles. I thought they meant Jack Benny, and when I found the solution, I was wondering what hill Jack Benny was on. I have never heard of Benny Hill.
Good morning breezed through the words but fell short on the cartoon answer. I even thought of something with hilarious but couldn’t put the simple answer together. I enjoyed your post Angela and the crazy intro to his show. The Man was outrageous and pushed things to their limit. You would shake your head and wonder how he got away with some of his antics. Until tomorrow take care.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. And yes, he was definitely something else…One can only imagine what the “behind the scenes” was like! Take care and have a good one…😂🙋🏻♀️
No problem with the anagrams or the cartoon solution but must confess I’ve never seen Benny Hill’s show.
I’ve never seen the show either, but I knew of him..and have seen his skits on YouTube…He definitely lived up to the hype! 😂🙋🏻♀️
Thanks for the info. Will have to check him out on You Tube.
YW…I think you’ll have a few good laughs…😂🙋🏻♀️
Whew! Finally had a winning Jumble solve day! About time!
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Posting very late today – a full day at work. Benny Hill was never to my liking. I remember him well from my days in UK but found him offensive. Always making fun of people. Making fun is not humour.
